I can confirm from my own experience that if you complete the initial 4/4 world quests (invasion points) and turn in the quest to Prince Farondis at Shackle's Den to unlock the daily quest line he provides and then wait past the time of the invasion, the next quests, and the one you were currently on, to complete the invasion will not be able to be finished. I completed as such and logged off for work before I was able to complete the full quest line for the invasion. I came back online to find I couldn't complete it. Thought it was an interesting side note if anyone was ever curious. I assume this will also apply to all other invasion areas.

a problem that i came across was when i had done 4/4 i couldnt progress further to fix this i went to a different zone did some Qs and the quest popped up to go back to stormheim and carry on the Q line for the assault. so if u cant get it to work leave do something else then come back

Note that for this "Assault on Stormheim" invasion quest Vethir is at (90 11) not at his usual spot at cullens post.

I completed the 4 world quest and started the following quest.
I started killing mobs and it seemed there was no progress. I noticed I was on a raid group so I left the group but still not progress.
I abandoned the quest and now I have the Assault on Stormheim quest again asking me to repellent 4 Legion points, but now there are only three world quests active so I won't be able to complete it.

There is a bug with this quest. If you have completed 4/4 but the quest does not show where to turn in, fly to Shield's Rest and turn in at Vethir. Also, be careful of skipping cutscenes as this could bug out your progress and drop you close to Halls of Valor, you would then need to get onto a drake again, fly to the ship and run through the whole progress again.

Even though you don't see the question mark on map, just fly to Shield's rest.

Quest wasn't shown as completed after doing 4 WQs. Relog and re-entering Stormheim didn't help.
Nevertheless I flew to Shield's Rest where Vethir was sitting at the flight point. Got quest credit and could turn in.

To turn that in just fly to Shield's Rest (90,11 island northeast).

In case that you are a hunter and cant see Vethir or other npcs on Shield's Rest be sure to check out you arent on the beast mastery artifact quest. Apparently you are phased so that you wont see npcs or players if you have the BM artifact quest going on.

Just because it isn't in the quest wording OR show on map tracking: Turn in for the Assault on Stormheim is a dragon at the FP Shields Rest

just need to add that as a Warrior, if you had the protection talent artifact quest. you will phase-out upon reaching Shield's rest.( You won't find Vethir)
Make sure to do the scenario for Protection artifact first.

After you do the 4 WQ you are not looking for a "?" You are looking for the 2nd part of the quest which is to talk to Vethir. He is waiting at the NE island called Shields Rest. Hope this simplifies things.

I had an issue where Vethir would despawn anytime I got close to him, so I could not continue the quest after I had done the 4 invasion World Quests. Tried relogging/reloading and porting to dalaran and back. Nothing helped.
ONLY THING that helped was a friend double mounting and flying me into the zone. Maybe that helps someone else, too.

Step by step how this scenario is going:

- Part 1: Assault on Stormheim This is Auto start Quest if you will enter to Stormheim - finish any 4 World Quests on Stormheim. Fly to Vethir you can find him standing next to Flight Master Visser the Scalekeeper in Shield's Rest.
- Part 2: Start The Storm's Fury given from Vethir finish to Val'kyr of Odyn. Using Drake Kill to 100% legion army when you will do it you Drake will be shut down. On ground run to portal - from portal will come out Lord Commander Alexius you need to take His HP to 85% after that He is escapes drooping meteorites/fire balls Val'kyr of Odyn is Saves you. Finish Quest to Val'kyr of Odyn.
- Part 3: Start Battle for Stormheim from Val'kyr of Odyn You will go to SCENARIO with 3 people:

SCENARIO Start

Stage 1: Free the captured Storm Drakes: You need to free 3 drakes trapped by Legion.
Stage 2: Use Storm Drakes to eliminate the Legion's ground forces: After you will Free Drakes to on top on steps to use them. Eliminate Legion forces until you will get 100%
Stage 3: Go to the Legion Ship: Until you will eliminate Legion forces to 100% on ground Drake will fly automatic to the Ship - Ease part you don't nee to do any thing xD
Stage 4: Sabotage the Legion forces on board the ship : Eliminate to 100% and move to portal
Stage 5: Defeat Lord Commander Alexius and disable the ship's capabilities: Go to portal, destroy 4 shield crystals, defeat Lord Commander Alexiusand get on Drake to Get out.

SCENARIO is Finish

To finish last quest Battle for Stormheim you going to Odyn.

LEGION ASSAULTS AND FINAL BOSSES
The bosses appear to share the same loot table.

WEAPON DROPS
Your spec doesn't appear to matter. As long as your class can equip the weapon, you have a LOW chance of receiving it.
Some of these weapons may have been a reward from the pre-Legion invasions on Azeroth?

GEAR DROPS (TRANSMOG APPEARANCE)
Pieces of the following sets have a chance to drop from the final Legion assault boss.
These pieces can also drop from individual invasion world quests.

The quest didn't pop up for me when entering Stormheim while it was under Invasion. I didn't start Legion on that alt (I did unlock everything on my account though). I'm assuming you have to start the Legion campaign in order to get the Assault quest, but you can complete the Legion WQs that pop up and give EXP so its not a total loss to hop into Legion on your alts who are doing other expansion content.

tldr; god its so annoying that all of these assaults quests are auto accept. please for the love of god change this.
