As of Beta build 21737, you can use any corpse. Low level, other player's kills, doesn't matter. I simply took the portal to Hinterlands, ran through the first few rooms of Scholomance and had it done within a few minutes.

If you don't mind a little PVP, the best place to do the quest is the underbelly below Dalaran. A lot of player corpses. I did the 100 corpses in less than 2 minutes. I was playing resto druid, so I kept healing myself. Died only 1 time.

I ran down to the Illidari Stand in Azsuna and popped this on all of the lower levels doing the starter quest against the endless waves of demons.

For easier and quicker way to do this, go to Terrorweb Tunnel in Eastern Plaguelands, the one where you rescue the Dwarf Paladin for the Fiona quests.

You don't need to have killed the mobs yourself - as the Forsaken say, any old corpse will do.

It works on critters! And corpses from monster which were killed by other players/npcs! Even killing battlepets counts.

The first place that came to mind for me were the sheep in Uldum(remembered farming these for Critter Kill Squad).
They're located at: 51.6, 49.96 and 57.45, 55.71

Little tip to do it quickly.
Go to Grizzly hills using the emeral dreamway then go in gundrak (on the serpent side). It will take you about 2-3 minutes. Just have to use the seed as soon as the critters are dead. They despawn quickly. if not enough, just get out, reset and go again!

This can be used on critter corpses. Moreover if you click the Draem Seeds back to back by critter corpses you can use the same ones twice most of the time.

Here is what I did:

1. Portal to the Hinterlands
2. Western Plaguelands 67,22
3. Enter Terrorweb Cave.

The clustered spawn of critters in this cave made it take less than a minute from the first kill to the last planted.

Terrorweb Tunnel also used to be a hot spot for players farming critter kills for Critter Kill Squad. <-Additional helpful tactics!

Fun fact: If you use this with Undead within 10 yards, they will get the 2 minute buff Plant Dream Seed where flowers pool by their feet and in their wake, much like Path of Cenarius. (But it won't count towards your quest progress.)

Thank goodness for this site. I was thinking i'd had to kill the dreamway prowler pups to make this happen!

I went to Suramar and combined this with the World Quest to kill 50 Nightborne Forces. At 29.6 18.5 in Suramar, where the Nightborne fight the Hippogryphs you can run around and tag mobs (for the World Quest it if's up) and use the item and get this done.

Do not kill stuff in Legion for the purpose of completing this quest. Either do it while you are completing some other quests, or go to Azeroth, where it's a lot easier to kill stuff.

I did this in the spider area on Tol Barad, where the broodmothers are surrounded by little critter hatchlings.

You can do this on corpses other players have killed.

You can skin the corpses after you have done this, if you are a skinner.

It appears you cannot do this to the corpse of an enemy player.

Fly out to Illidari Stand in Azasuna. The guards are constantly killing demon hordes that swarm the camp and you can even attack them to speed it up. It takes about 5~10 minutes to get 100 seeds planted and you don't have to leave the broken isles.

If you got this quest during Brewfest then kill all the mobs in the Grim Guzzler. I think i got 60 just there.

If you are alliance you can just run into stormwind stockade, pull everything, and kill it all for pretty much instant completion. Horde ragefire chasm should work nicely.

Any level corpse will do. You are not restricted to Broken Isles kills. They do not even need to be your own kills.

I completed mine while achievement hunting and zerging through old content.

I haven't seen this posted yet, but I just did it in Ulduar.

For those that still have Argent Crusader's Tabard use this and fly to Ulduar. Go in kill the dwarfs since the keep spawning and coming to you. Took more time to fly and run in than to kill

Found a very easy place to this was Old Karazhan... Just go in to the 2 dining halls, run around, swipe a couple of times and plant the seeds... The longest part of this was flying from Stormwind to Kara...

Just a tip if you are into pets, mounts, toys etc. This is a great quest to farm drops like the Time-Locked Box in the Blasted Lands. Often I forget these things and just do the quest the fastest way instead of working on two things at once. YAY! I can multitask!

The Fastest Way:

1) Go into the dungeon Stratholme in Easten Plaugelands.
2) Kill trash mobs one-by-one planting a seed before killing the next mob
3) Profit

How to do this quickly:

Go to Althers Mill in Redridge Mountains, get to that bit with the Orc General and the wolves, aggro all of em, pop AoE, get 50 kills in an instant.

They respawn after like 20 seconds.

Faster than the Hinterlands, from New Dal take portal to Vale (Shrine). Head to Townlong Steppes, Gai Cho Battlefield (60 46). Endless spawn of bugs. Done in about a minute with minimal travel time.

Shattered Fields in Krokuun is the best place. The NPCs kill for you, all you have to do is plant.

Doing the Mantid Under Fire quest from the Valley of the Four Winds (location Dread Wates 69 51) in Bear form on the ground you can quickly do your hundred kills and planting.

Go to Townlong Steppes - Gao Ran Battlefield (co-ords 60, 46)
Bugs and Yaungol constantly spawning fighting each other, spam AOE and Dream Seeds once they're dead and you're done!

I like the Terrace of Gurthan in Dread Wastes, around 71, 26. There are big spiders, tiny spiders and spider eggs. Just run around spamming your macro button. Quick and easy.

I found it faster to just roll into Scholomance, gather up all the trash and starfall it. Seed like 80+ corpses in one go. Yes I know I'm a year or so late.

To do this instant use dreamwalk then go to Duskwood. Fly to Burning steppes and go to 35 36~
3 packs of mobs there and a pack behind the little hill +they hyperspawn.

A normal Eye of Azshara will do the trick. You can finish Eye of Azshara: Cleansing the Dreamway with this quest in one go.

I did this in the Bloodfin Village in Nazjatar. The Bloodfin Village is at /way 26, 32, on the west (left) coast directly above Ashen Strand. The murlocs have a really good respawn rate here.

I did it as Guardian, and experimenting with how many I could pull at once kept me more engaged than I would otherwise have been killing 100 mobs. I am new to Bear, so it gave me a chance to experiment with my mitigation a bit without too much risk.

I was 120, ilvl 417, and it took me ~5-10 minutes.

If you go to argus, talk to the dude by the transponder to get teleported to the surface in the first zone, depending on your server there should be people farming there, just walk up to demon bodies and press the item, I did this quest in exactly 5 seconds.

basically take your ass to your favourite, trashiest dungeon and have fun! i dreamwalked, used the portal to the hinterlands in there (the portal to your right when you teleport in, the one w/ the giant bird of prey statue)
then i went straight to the eastern plaguelands for stratholme! progressing for abt 30 seconds and getting trapped with rats pouring in to attack your character is guranteed to speed complete this in less than a minute ^_^ enjoy

Funnily Kael'thas weapons in Tempest Keep are considered bodies and counts towards as seeds planted. I even planted the same weapons multiple times, since the buff expires in 2 minutes and the "bodies" of the weapons stay there until the end of the fight if you don't loot them.

After receiving this quest, I killed the fawn and doe next to the quest giver and used the seeds. Somehow, I don't think that's quite what Brightwing had in mind...

Go to The Athenaeum in Suramar.

Plant yourself right in front of the portal to Suramar at 33.54, 21.16. About 10 adds spawn from the portal every minute or so. AFK, AOE, plant seeds. You'll be done in no time without even having to move.
