Be careful looking for battle pets with Rexxar out as a bodyguard. His proc to summon a random pet to assist you might be handy in battle, but Huffer's AoE stomp will also kill any battle pets around it. Found that out the hard way. :(

At level 103 two Champion questlines are available:

1. Recruiting Rexxar, Survival Skills & Survive the Night, which give Champion: Rexxar that grants the Champion follower Rexxar.

2. Calling Hilaire Home and Bite of the Beast, which gives Champion: Beastmaster Hilaire that grants the Champion follower Beastmaster Hilaire.

To unlock these, you'll first need to complete a seemingly unrelated short quest chain in Val'sharah, offered by Emmarel Shadewarden at Trueshot Lodge at 41.7 59.99 who gives you the breadcrumb: Lending a Hand. Turn this in to Hudson Crawford and do Rising Troubles and Assassin Entrapment. At this point, Snowfeather should appear beside Hudson Crawford and offer you Urgent Summons.

Note that Snowfeather didn't appear for me until I'd obtained all three artefact weapons.

Rexxar is in Highmountain at Cliff's Edge, which is 200 yards NW of The Witchwood flight point at 36.73 35.39. For those without coordinates, that's on the first E of Edge on the map. Hints: You only need one piece of wood per quest to light the fire, berries aren't necessary, you only need three pieces of cooked meat to survive "overnight".

Beastmaster Hilaire is Stormheim, just North of Weeping Bluffs, about 300 yards North of the nearest flight path at Skyfire Triage Camp. Hint: Deliver Zoarg's Head to Archmage Landon, as Beastmaster Hilaire really doesn't want it!

Currently, this quest chain appears to be broken. 'Quest:Survival Skills' allows you to chop wood and will also allow you to cook one 'raw meat' into a 'hearty steak'. Problem is you need more than one 'hearty steak' to last 3 minutes. So, I abandoned the quest, chopped wood, and cooked another steak, then abandoned again to cook another steak. I wanted 3 'hearty steak' to last the 3 minutes for 'Quest:Survive the Night'. When I completed 'Quest:Survival Skills', all 3 'hearty steak' disappeared from my bags. GM has written this bug up 9/4/2016 @ 2:30 AM.

Much like in Hearthstone, Rexxar will summon 1 of his 3 pets to help you in battle in addition to fighting himself when assigned as your combat ally. Huffer will charge and deal AE damage, Misha will tank for you, and Leokk gives a damage buff.

You have to be 103+ level to get this quest chain. Speak with Emmarel Shadewarden in Trueshot Lodge to start.

for those that have no clue when the survive the night quest starts you have to go back out and get more wood and raw meat.

After completing In Defense of Dalaran a quest will show up by your artifact altar to empower your weapon with a 3rd relic. Hope this answers people's questions regarding the hunter's campaign for the 3rd relic.

Fun fact; it's almost impossible to tame anything with Rexxar out because he'll attack anything you try to tame causing you to lose aggro. So yeah. Kind of a useless bodyguard if you're trying to tame pets.

Nota Bene: Either it's a bug or by design, but Rexxar's boar pet, Huffer, will cause you to get flagged PVP if you are close enough to see an opposing faction guard. Not a terrible thing, unless they mob you from behind and tear you down. Which has happened to me three time on two toons.
