The NPC is not inside the fortress valley. He's up on the plains to the west of it.

This quest and the ones that follow will send you to Haustvald. It will take some time, especially since you'll have to grind Bonespeaker Mystic for a while here.

It's convenient that you do this profession quest along with the Stormheim Story quests (4/8 Chapters in).

First you have to do faction intro quests, then Hrydshal, then Thorignir dragons, then you go to Valdisdall and right after Vydhal's quests (the "talking tree"), you'll be arriving at Field of Fallen Kings (*outside* Haustvald), where this NPC is. Nicholo Swiftfuse is surrounded by Restless Ancestors, needed for Lay Them to Rest, which you hand in at Shieldmaiden Iounn, who then starts the Haustvald quests. Go back and hand in the quests at the gnome as soon as they are completed, and then finish them before going inside the underworld area to complete Haustvald (then go to Dalaran later after you're done with the zone).

You can find Nicholo Swiftfuse in Stormheim, coordinates are 69.3 40.7. He's not in Haustvald, he's in hills, path starts at 47.0 45.3, left from Hustvald entrance.

Deliver the tablets to Nicholo Swiftfuse in Stormheim.

Description

The woman at the archaeology shop just dropped off some tablets to be deciphered. Any fool can see they're written in ancient vrykul, but I lent my codex to one of my students, so I'm unable to decipher them here.

His name is Nicholo Swiftfuse, and he is in Stormheim. Let him know that if he fails to decipher them, his apprenticeship shall be terminated.
