Stop the Bombardment is part of the Demon Hunter starting quest chain. - Mardum storyline.
This quest happends not in our time. It is actually the The Burning Crusade time.
Illidan is still in the Black Temple. He sends you to fight the Legion in Mardum, the Shattered Abyss

1. Stop the Bombardment
• Accept the quest, Stop the Bombardment, from Kayn Sunfury at coords 60.5, 44.8 (Illidari Foothold).
• Travel southeast to coords 69.3, 48.7 and click on the Illidari Banner, to summon the Broken to destroy the Doom Fortress Legion Devastator.
• Go northeast to coords 75.0, 41.1 and click on the Illidari Banner, to summon the Shivan to destroy the Forge Of Corruption Legion Devastator.
• Head northwest to coords 66.4, 30.4 and click on the Illidari Banner, to summon the Female Naga (scale 1.75) to destroy the Soul Engine Legion Devastator.
• Continue to follow the path, to the southwest, to a "crossing" at 59.6, 40.5. Jump across this now broken road (if you fall down below, there is a path leading back up) to the Illidari Foothold.
• Turn in the quest to Kayn Sunfury at 60.5, 44.8.

NOTE: While you are completing this quest near the Doom Fortress Legion Devastator, you can pick up the nearby treasure, the 28-slot bag, Vile Stalkerskin Pouch.

When you're on this quest, be sure to go to the Soul engine (63.6 23.6) and kill Count Nefarious. He drops Nefarious Ring.

And also go to General Volroth (68.6 27.8), he drops Pit Lord's Cuffs.
