Friend couldn't get the quest done even though her character was doing the stomping animation. The workaround was to do it while mounted, oddly enough, and she got credit for the 3 circles.

Quest might be bugged. I am running around/inside/all over/every way I can think of the red circles, both mounted and unmounted, and I'm getting no credit for stomping out any of the ritual circles. I am SURE that I'm running in the right place (the YouTube video also posted here shows that player running in exactly the same way I'm trying to do it) and I've tried it before and after killing all the mobs. I've dropped the quest and picked it back up twice, still no luck. So if this is bugged for you, you're not alone. I submitted a bug report, if you're seeing this too, I urge you to do the same so they have enough information to fix it.

This quest finally explains what Anzu was doing working for the Sethekk back in Outland. Without us to stop the ritual and the Outcasts having no way of contacting Anzu (since we found the lost Eye), the Sethekk were able to control him.

Was having the same problem of the rituals not getting stomped out. So I stomped the heck out of each one, covering almost all the area inside the circle with my running path. Easiest thing to do is run the inside perimeter, then cross back into the middle. That seemed to work. It may be an area thing, or it may be you need to spend a few seconds inside each ritual circle before it will work.

this is the provebial case of "don't stand in the fire"... you are not looking for the three bonfires with the cool purple and orange flames - - - you want the red rune-looking ritual circles! Thanks to my guildies for staightening me out!

Update: did this quest again today on my (Balance) Druid... in stealthed cat form, you can run around the circles and actually complete a destruction without any trouble if there are only one or two NPCs on the circle. While doing this it became very clear that if you picture the ritual circle as a wagon wheel, you can completely ignore the spokes and the hub. Just run around the rim until you get the indication it has been destroyed.

You can hear audio indications as you hit nodes on the rim... I'm guessing it is about 8 (equally spaced) nodes around the rim and it appears you need to get either a specific number or perhaps all of the nodes. Need more feedback from OP on this point (I was kind of in a hurry lol)!

Confirmed it is 8 equally spaced nodes around the rim and you need to touch them all. If you are in a group (whether or not in a party), all players contacts count toward finishing that circle.

I don't know if anyone else is having this issue, but I could NOT find this quest giver. He's a blue bird sitting ABOVE the location on the map with the !. In other words, when looking for this quest, look UP. Took me forever to figure this out.

2nd: it's NOT the circle of FIRE like I thought, look for the BLUE circles on your minimap adjacent to the fires.
Run around on them on foot or on mount don't matter about3 or 4 revolutions should do it.

To start ritual severance you need to see Anzu at 64.28 37.19. That's not where the ! Is on the map.

For anyone looking for Anzu to start this quest, he didn't appear for me until after I completed Talon Guard Kurekk's quests. Hope that helps. I was looking all over for him, then gave up to do other quests. I wasn't until I did those quests that he actually appeared.

The Southern Ritual Circle is at 68.9 41.9;
The Central Ritual Circle is at 67.5 40.6; and
The Northern Ritual Circle is at 67 38.2.

The map above shows the quest-giver for this quest at his Veil Terokk. He actually gives the quest at his location at the south end of Sethekk Hollow (coordinates: /way 66.8 51.6 Quest-Giver Anzu). BE SURE TO LOOK UP on the top of the pillar to the left of the small altar.

I had trouble finding Anzu as well and the webpage showed different coordinates. At the end he was at the Lost Veil, right beneth the Sethekk Hollow. Flight to Talon Watch and ride into the south-east. Its a big bird with a shadow-y look. Good hunting!

Ritual Severance

Stomp out the three Sethekk Ritual Circles by running over them.

Description

I could not defeat this curse, and long ago resigned myself to rest in darkness.

But the Sethekk are performing dark rituals to draw me back, slowly binding me to Sethe's will. Should they succeed, Sethe would have me draw a dark cloak across the horizon, and bathe the world in his blood.

Disrupt their rituals, so that I may return with my own free will. Then, together, we shall bring an end to Sethe's return.
