Back into the cauldron, you can't see the quest completion place on your map but keep going down.It's at 36.8 78.0, not quite to the bottom.

If you "by accident" clicked 'Take me to the ground/downstairs'-something and wondering how in the world you get up there again?
-go to 56,52 and take the path up (turns lightly to the left) and you'll be at the spot with the questgivers again :)

If you finish The Descent first you'll have to "escape" and then re-enter the cauldron to do Heating Up and then walk up the slope and out again.

The vent is behind the neutral rare King Slime. He's surrounded by small neutral slimes that are easy to kill but the mess they leave on the ground is deadly. Don't stand in it too long to loot them. (It killed my bodyguard.) Clear the little slimes, wait for the mess to dissipate, then kite the big slime back and forth in closely-spaced tracks until he dies. He has lots of hit points but moves extremely slowly, so he's trivial to kite. When he casts his AOE, simply step back a moment to stay out of its range before resuming your damage.
