Regular mobs at Firewalker Ruins give 5 or 6 rep. The Elites give 11.

You start out at 0 - Neutral and have to grind 9000 rep to hit Honored. Non-elites give 5 or 6 rep each. Elites 12 or so. They take longer to kill than they really need to so this is going to take forever if you try to solo it. It's reminiscent of the old rep grinds back in Vanilla. For those of you unlucky enough to have done the Timbermaw Hold rep grind, this will feel about the same.

If you are in a party, you might want to stay farther South. The first area by Firewalker Ruins is easy enough to farm but it is honestly over-farmed because for some reason everyone wants to do this solo. Seriously, do not do this solo.

I recommend you fill a raid and camp up by The Blazing Way. There's a section to the North where a bunch of elites spawn and if you are organized you can farm them pretty effectively. The drawback appears that you don't appear to get Timeless Coins or freebee purples while in a raid, except for the rare spawns. Still, those drop off everything and anything so you shouldn't miss them here.

Edit: Just verified that these mobs do keep giving rep after you reach Honored.

As a human with guild bonus and Battle Standard of Coordination Burning berzerkers, Blazebound Chanters, and Eternal Kiln masters grant 20-21 rep upon death. These are easy to farm with a group of 5 at Shrine of the Black Flame (68,35). Coins and epics DO drop while in a party. Coins do NOT drop while in a raid and epics DO drop just on a very very small scale, don't expect to see a lot drop while in a raid.

The mobs gives less reputation when you're in a group and even less than that in a raid.
Blizzard seriously need to buff this quest or change it in some way, cause being on a high pop server as myself, this is a pain in the arsenal.

I can understand why getting rep with Shaohao is hard hence there are reputation vendors that sell mounts and pets that requires you to be friendly, honored, revered or exalted.

But i would suggest blizzard changes the quest in to collecting tokens or something, cause this quest is ridiculous and i don't think it's worth the effort if i can still go and hit a ship and a shark once and get 2k coins in a matter of minutes.

Ordon Candlekeeper - 5 or 6 rep
Ordon Oathguard - 11 rep
Ordon Fire-Watcher - 11 rep
Burning Berserker - 16 or 17 rep
Eternal Kilnmaster - 22 rep
Blazebound Chanter - 22 rep

These are the reputation gains assuming you are in a level 25 guild.

All the mobs are pretty though and have abilities that can easily
kill you if you don't pay enough attention (except the Candlekeepers which are non-elite).

Like Breotan said, you should group up in order to make this grind less of a pain but also to deter people from killing you for Bloody Coins
Classes with lots of stuns make life a lot easier, especially against the Kilnmasters.

If you can go up into the Ordon Sanctuary ~22rep per kill. There are tons of mobs there and most likely you can run into other people farming. I would recommend getting a group of five people. One healer, 4 high dps, one of which being either a warlock or hunter. Their pets don't take as much damage since most abilities are AoE. The only issue would be the charge abilities. Put up a banner for the 15% rep bonus and grind it out. They spawn quickly along with a few rares. You could try this with no healer and no warlock hunter and just get a well geared tank for this. The tank just needs to keep moving to survive and not point the adds towards the rest of the group.

After some farming, I become friendly with the Emperor but I got all the direction to close the quest: question mark on map, and "go back to the emperor" on the journal.

I go back, but the Emperor says me nothing.
I abandoned the quest, and now I can't get it back.

If you do this in Firewalker Ruins it is easier to solo your way to the rep needed. Candlekeepers & Fire-Watchers are fairly easy kills, but Oath-Guards can be a tough fight on your own. A good idea is go there when others are going about the quest so you can avoid getting mobbed, but be careful; the mobs re-spawn quite quickly after the bodies fade, so if you don't pay attention you can find yourself in an impossible fight.
A way to get out is to just run off the edge of the cliff & either splash-land in the sea & swim to safety (they won't follow you), or use the Goblin Glider if you have one once you're 'airborne'.

Don't forget the Ordon Supply Crates, an easy source of coins & potion buffs, & don't just go after the high value elites, Candlekeepers drop Timeless gear & even Burdens of Eternity on occasion.

Is anyone able to get this quest in MoP Remix? I got the previous quest but not this one. Not able to complete the last part of the campaign cause of this.

Drive Back The Flame

Earn an Honored Reputation with Shaohao by defeating yaungol forces on the Timeless Isle.

	Emperor Shaohao (Honored)

Description

The pandaren once existed in harmony with the Ordon yaungol. When the island suddenly disappeared, the Ordon faced certain death. In their desperation, the chief shaman called out for aid to the Fire Lords, and was answered.

Ordos was his name. Now, he is a creature of anger and violence. Though his people were saved, he burns endlessly in molten agony.

There is harmony no longer. The Ordon seek to take the Celestial Court, and sacrifice us all to Ordos. Drive them back, and restore balance.
