Vagash is located ontop of the hill. If you go west of the ranch, hugging the mountains, you can find a path. He's a elite so bring a party member. Good reward.

As a Rogue I was able to kite him down the mountain using my throwing weapon and gouge when he got close, when you reach the bottom of the mountain there is an Dun Morogh Mountaineer who will kill him for you. Be careful, and it takes a lot of patience, but he is soloable.

This was pretty easy with a pet! I stood by the tree on the left side of the stable and sent my bear up to get him (level 11). I shot him from beside the tree and barely lost any health.

Cords: 62,47. DO NOT kite him to the guard! You won't complete quest even if you get the killing blow!

Solo'd as a level 9 warlock. Curse of Agony + Corruption + Immolate + Impy and then just keep fearing him. While he's feared you can kick in some Shadowbolts too.

59, 50 is the start of the climb up the hill, he is a level 11 elite w/ 650HP roughly. I've died twice, level 10 warlock.

I soloed him without any problem. I'm a level 12 gnome warrior, went in defensive stance+sunders then battle stance+nuke ;p

A pot helps.

I soloed him with my lvl 10 hunter with cat as pet i got him fot 50% down when my pet died i killed him another 25 % with melee attacks i used 1 potion en then kited him down with ranged attacks

slayed him as a lvl 9 lock, Corrup+Immolate+CoA+Shadow Bolt while Imp hits him with fireball, if he aggros off imp just fear him and hit him with a shadowbolt. I only had to fear once and my imp survived battle.

Vagash no longer does that frost breath attack. He now does a Frost Nova type of spell. Also, you don't need to go up the path to get to him. From the left side of the porch, facing the house, look slightly to your left. You'll see a small incline going up the hill. There is a tree there. Run up that part of the hill, behind the tree. Once you're past it, turn around and run up another incline and you'll be right at the cliffs edge where Vagash's cave is. This saves time from having to run around the mountain.

For those of us without map cords, you can find Vagash in his cave on top of the hill directly behind Rudra Amberstill. He does leave his cave to walk around the area, so be aware of this as you come up on the cave.

The quest is orange at level 9, but he's still pretty easy. Does a lot of damage, but as a hunter, just concussive > sting > arcane, then jump down the hill when concussive is off cooldown and repeat.

To get up to him, go to the house on the far left of the ranch. Stand in front of the house, and look to your left. There's a ledge. Just navigate your way up, and you totally avoid looking for the ramp. But if you can't find this path...

... there's a ramp right around on the other side of the mountain on the left.

it right but if u a newb like me go to location dun morogh - - (66.63 - 48.88) and follow the road up and u cant miss him

He's at 69,73 44,41 just north of the questgiver. The path that leads up to him is at 69,46 49,88.

The trail actually starts @ 70 50 just west of corral than head noth up the Mt. He isin a cave at the head of the trail

From the questgiver, do a /tar vagash. If he's near the cliff, you might be able to pull him and save yourself a few minutes of running.

I went around the right side of the building behind the questgiver and pulled him from 70,47.

Just so everyone understands, the TRUE location of the path entrance is at 69,49 and you will see a torch at the beginning of the path, just follow it upward, the path is very close to the upper porch, don't go around the mountain.

Bugged. This quest shows yellow question mark as if it is completed which is not. You still have to kill Vagash to get his fang and turn in the quest.

Obtain Vagash's Fang.

Description

We heard the cries in the middle of the night. Then this morning, sure enough, the herd was missing two rams. That dastardly beast known as Vagash has been preying on our livelihood. With Ironforge's troops already spread thin, there is no one to keep Vagash at bay.

Perhaps you are brave enough to seek out the beast and slay him. Bring me one of his fangs and I will reward you. Vagash lurks just above the ranch here, but be warned, he is deadly.
