A warning in advance:

Before, Kaelan of the Black Dragonflight (pre-Cata) gave this quest with the same name. There, the Torch of Retribution did not disappear and might still be in your bank.

Even if you destroyed it, the first time, you might not get the Torch of Retribution. Abandon the quest, destroying the old Torch of Retribution (whether you destroyed it before or you have it in your bank) and picking it up again, will give you correctly the new Torch of Retribution.

Unfortunately, this new Torch of Retribution you will not keep after you completed the quest (sorry roleplayers).

This new one doesn't require you to be wield though (hurray for the levelers).

Edit: very late edit, but if you still have the old torch, you can use that as well to complete the quest. However, this also will be turned in and loose the torch.

On the middle level of the tower, there will be a TINY little brazier; click that to burn the tower.

You're looking for very small objects in the corners closer to the edge. They're not difficult to spot.

You have to complete Dark Ministry & In the Hall of the Mountain-Lord to get this quest from Rendan.

Not only are the braziers very tiny, but they are each obscured by a wall of flame which makes them even harder to spot. The good news is that these massives flames do no damage and actually define your search area.

The weird thing is: how come these massive flames don't ignite the bonfire above, but the tiny brazier does? Hmmm ...

The tiny braziers are on the second level of the towers. The followings coords are the exact location of the braziers:
Western Tower: 33.30 54.48
Southwestern Tower: 35.66 60.68
Southeastern Tower: 44.03 60.93
Eastern Tower: 50.60 54.90

Description

I'm not sure if ye've noticed, but my tower's much taller than any o' the other towers here around the Gorge. Some dwarves pride themselves at how deep they can dig, but not me. Sometimes I think I shoulda been born a Wildhammer.

I still don't like the sight o' those other towers, though. Reachin' up like that, ticklin' my tower's feet. Here, take this torch, an' use it on the braziers atop those other towers. They'll be sorry they ever built 'em to begin with.
