This event seems to be a reference to a palantír, the seeing stones, in Lord of the Rings! For those not familiar with the books or early animated movies, there are scenes shown in The Return of the King.

I was hanging around after handing in the quest, when after a minute or so she popped Vanish and I couldn't target her anymore, how awesome!

When you activate the eye, this is the script of the scene that plays:

Twilight Servant says: We have confirmed the Horde presence at Dragonmaw Port, master. They are now in league.
Cho'gall says: This changes nothing. (Nothing nothing changes. Crush them, crush.)
Cho'gall says: What of our agents in Orgrimmar? (City engulfed in stone and sand, we see it! The Eye sees into its heart.) Bring me the eye.
Twilight Servant says: Our agents have been outed and killed, master.
Cho'gall says: (Blaspheme! Blaspheme disgust hate hate…) No matter. Where one eye closes, another opens. (The Master sees all! The Master knows all!) We will know our enemy's hearts, for they are weak. The eye. Now.

in case of immense lag you can abandon and pick up the quest again to watch the cinematic.
(my connection bugged out, first nothing happened and then every single soundclip was played at once...)

Description

This terrible thing makes my hair stand on end. Cho'gall uses these to control his minions - now it's time to use it against him.
