Eric the Swift is a character from the Lost Vikings. Previously the Vikings were lost in Uldaman and were killable by Horde players. His signature abilities, one of which is seen in this quest, are using his speed to ram enemies and walls, represented as Charge, and his jumping ability.

You'll find an action bar with Eric's Charge and Eric's Pocket potion that are usable. Click those while in a fight to complete the quest.

Are these 3 Alliance quests bugged?

I completed "Eric the Swift" quickly and easily and now can't get rid of him as my "pet" in order to start one of the other 2. Any ideas/thoughts on how to do this?

Bugged for me, i cant see the action bar and if i accept one of the quest the 3 of em come toguether, Another quest chain i cant complete, just like and :S

As someone else mentioned, the action bar is this teeny tiny little bar that pops up on the right...it's not like the vehicle action bar that overwrites your normal bars. If you use a bar mod like Bartender, it might mess with it, but I'm not sure as I do not use one.

After completing this quest along with Baelog, the Glass Cannon and Olaf, the Big Fella', several tips.

At the time of writing this, several bar modification add-ons like Bartender etc aren't compatible with these vikings' abilities. So, before you accept these quests, turn your action bar related addons off.
Once you accept the quest(s), the NPCs' abilities will appear to the right of your screen.
You can do all three quests at the same time.
If you accept the three quests, all the abilities will appear on the single action bar to the right.
When you're ready to actually complete the quest, you have to tag the mob with some spell before the NPCs' abilities become active for use. Simply aggro-ing the mob via proximity won't do.
Once the abilities light up, you can use all six on a single mob if you want to complete the three quests.

I currently use Dominos, and this worked fine for me as soon as I realized the actions are on a pet bar. I hardly even noticed that they were there until I took a good look at my bars.

Make sure you're not mounted, and select ANY mob outside of the site. You can even use all of the three brothers' abilities on one mob, and that quickly completes their quests. ^_^

You need to do the quests in Fuselight to (eventually) unlock this. It takes you through a chain that will lead you here.

If you use an AddOn like Macaroon, you will need to set up a pet action bar at least 10 buttons long. If you have all 3 Viking quests, the buttons that will have the abilities will be 3,4 - 6,7 - 9,10.

For Macaroon, I made a dummy bar, set it to "pet" in bar options, then added 10 buttons to it. Accepted all 3 quests, waited a few seconds for viking pets to appear, and my bar went live. Then I hit a wolf outside the gates, and used each of the buttons to complete all 3 quests.

This is by far the most annoying questline I've ever seen, there's almost no way to get rid of these dwarves if you don't want to do it. I was able to get rid of the main dwarf by abandoning the quest and going into a different zone.
The most annoying part is that you can't use your regular pet to quest with while you have the stupid dwarves.

As pointed out above, you can easily get rid of the dwarves by killing one mob while using their abilities, or as you saw, abandon the quests and simply head to the Scar of the Worldbreaker (nearest zone).

If, like me, Eric "The Swift" stays a long side you after you've finished the quest and if he follows you when you hearth, enter a dungeon or an instance to get rid of him. He ended up following me all the way to Stormwind.

As a hunter there are a few things to note with this questline.

Eric will act as your active pet when you use Kill Command.
While he obeys Kill Command he will not trigger Spirit Bond.
You will not be able to dismiss him to use your own pet, he will simply appear again.
As a result of being a permanent pet while on the questline you will not be able to tame new pets. So if you see one of the fancy rares in Badlands, tough luck.

So to a hunter this questline sucks. The dwarves are not a good replacement pet either. They can take barely any damage and generate barely any theat at all.

This quest goes from being a supreme PITA to stupidly easy, as soon as you look down and see the Action Bar with their abilities ready & waiting :-D

All 6 of their abilities are on the Pet Bar! With the introduction of the new Interface in Dragonflight Prepatch, make sure you go into Edit Mode and move your pet bar to a location that it can be toggled.

if you are a Paladin like me just move your stance bar, you should see all the buttons now not just Olaf's

Description

Before we get too crazy what with the dragon-killin', let me tell you a little bit about how I fight.

"The Swift" is what they call me, and here's why: I'll dash straight into your enemies - helmet first, mind you - and stun 'em for a few seconds. I also keep a few potions with me for tight spots.

Why don't we practice fightin' together? Head out into the field, and try out my abilities.
