And sup with the quest befor this one? she sais she needs to "talk with the spirits" about the quillbores behaivor and agamaggan. then she just starts weeping about mankrik and thats the end to that quest chain? COM ON BLIZZ FFS!

I suspect the quest is bugged at the moment, as he says he will follow, yet he doesn't, and nothing seems to happen. Though considering all the Mankrik fans out there, you would think Blizz would make sure this quest was working correctly.

This is exactly how it was in the beta. I reported it as a bug and assume many others did as well. Let's hope they get around to it eventually because it's a cool little story line.

Was expecting a scripted event where the two get together or something that leads to a resolution with the hatred of the quillboars, but sadly just ends with a thanks, here's your xp, good bye. Not even a breadcrumb quest to send me elsewhere.

There -was- a scripted event in Beta where Mankrik sat with her and they talked. I wonder what happened to it. :(

After you turn in the quest, sit around for the sequence that follows.
It is absolutely adorable. Makha <3's Mankrik.
Hopefully he won't lose her as well, should anything ever come between them.

After Mankrik follows you, he has this conversation with Mahka:

Mahka: Look at this land, Mankrik. The Horde and Alliance tear the earth apart just to claw at each other in spite.
Mahka: Such hatred is only bringing us destruction. I can see it in you as you fight the quilboar... your anger does nothing but wear you away.
Mahka: You're destroying yourself, Mankrik.
Mankrik: There is nothing left for me. I seek a warrior's death. Is that wrong?
Mahka: You seek escape, not glory. It's suicide.
Mankrik: So what if it is? Why do you even care?
Mahka: Because...
Mahka: Because despite what you think, there may be people in this world who would mourn your passing.
Mankrik: Mahka...
Mahka: Please, Mankrik. Let go. Set down your blade.
Mankrik: This hatred has burned in me for years, Mahka. Your words cannot lift it from me so easily.
Mahka: Then... you do not need to bear it alone. Just sit next to me and forget your troubles, if only for a while.
Mahka: Come see me whenever you are weary.
Mankrik nods.
Mankrik: ...thank you, Mahka.

Seems to still be bugged even after 4.0.6.

I did this as a 85 Troll druid...but I went back and forth as a bat. Maybe that was what bugged it for me, try walking between the two and see what happens.

The sad thing is, most people won't see this until -after- they've done it...

Seems to be the beginning of a happy ending. Except for the fact that after I completed the quest Deathwing came and killed everyone :/

Just completed this quest today and still 'bugged'. Very disappointing since I was going to book it out of The Barrens and into Dustwallow since I out-leveled the area awhile ago and already had the quest achievement for Southern Barrens. But then I met up with Mankrik and decided to stick around. "Talked" to him to complete the quest and he said he'd follow, but didn't. Made my way back to Mahka, but he wasn't there. Went back and talked to him again, still didn't follow, didn't pop up at the Firestone. Tabbed out to look up the quest here assuming that wasn't the end of it, 5-10 mins after originally talking to him and still nada. No record of dialog in my chat window.

Really irk-some for an original Loremaster who's running through all the new stuff again just for questing sake.

Unfortunately, the quest is STILL bugged two expansions later in 6.2.2. :(
It can be completed but you will not see the role play.

The quest is not bugged atm of writing. Mankrik won't follow you, but he will teleport right at Mahka side once you go back to her.
