As of Cataclysm Baron Longshore has been captured by the Alliance and held in the stockade at 69,85. Likely to be executed he will bargain for your assistance. He no longer moves about between locations and now stays in the one place.

As soon as I picked up this quest in Ratchet, it was complete. In the quest watch frame, it said "Click to complete." I did. I as able to complete it and the quest The Baron's Demands was offered to me. And all without actually leaving the goblin hut where I got it.

As it turns out, I didn't accept The Baron's Demands, so I will check, to see if I can still get it from the guy when I find him. I assume I will.

EDIT TO ADD: I was able to get the quest The Baron's Demands directly from Baron Longshore.

Notice the two pirates in the nearby cage offering a bone to the dog? This looks like a scene from "Pirates of the Caribbean, Curse of the Black Pearl". A couple of locked up pirates tired to bride a dog who had the jailers key into approaching them so they could get the key.

The quest seems to be horde only, the only quests alliance alts can do in the area are those on Fray island involving Captain Garvey. You can't even do the Tony Two-Tusk quests as he's hostile to alliance.

Find Baron Longshore

Find and speak to the notorious pirate Baron Longshore.

Description

That dirty pirate Baron Longshore was the terror of these waters before the Alliance demolished his fleet and rounded up the survivors. Am I happy about it? Do I look like a bundle of joy and good cheer, <name>?

Longshore raided some of my most valuable cargo before his capture. Rumor has it he buried it before he was caught. I want my goods back! Find Longshore in the Alliance camp just south of here and see if you can get him to reveal where my treasure is.
