The Gryphon is right next to the Black Knights tent, west of the Graveyard.

The Invitation is in the bucket at the camp site the gryphon takes you to.
The orders are on a 10 minute respawn timer which can be problematic, they spawn on a small barrel next to the stove.

The Black Knight's camp is actually to the east of the tournament grounds, it is just about in the middle and to the east b/w the Horde and Alliance tents at about (77,22), as seen on this map.

You must use the Enchanted Bridle next to the Gryphon and then you will automatically be carried to the Black Knight's house. Both quest items that you need are inside this house.

The Stolen Tournament Invitation is on a barrel which is in the right corner of the house (looking at it as though you just came in through the door).
The Black Knight's Orders spawn on top of two crates which are just to the right of the stove.

excellent news! as of this newest PTR build, these items do not despawn! i didn't see them disappear after looting and just to confirm, i deleted the ones i had looted and was immediately able to loot them again. huzzah!

The Black Knight's gryphon seems to look like an armored ebon gryphon.

/want. Maybe Blizzard will add in a similar mount soon enough since there's a similar model.

Well, the patch has gone live and there is still no follow up.

The only thing I can think of is that since the tournament will span several patches, this quest might as well. We'll have to wait and see.

Edit: Nevermind it seems that the previous statement that being a champion did not give you access to the end of this quest was wrong.

You must be a champion to be eligible to fight the Dark Knight in combat.

Side: Surprisingly, he's not invincible! He also doesn't triumph.... >.>

The orders seem to be fixed. They didn't despawn and I picked them up right after someone else did.

this is simple..

pick up the quest.

fly directly east, towards the graveyard. just before the graveyard theres a small tent, and next to it a gryphon.

stand near the gryphon, use the quest item.. let it fly you to the island in the water (i hope you got a flying mount.. :P)

walk up the hill, inside the small house, loot the 2 quest items (theres a few normal mobs outside)..

and fly back..
the chain ended here for me ..

guess it requires more.. jousting..

If you're like me, and wonder why there's no follow up quest to this, it's because you're not a champion. Keep doing the dailies and you'll eventually become one. The following taken from Bliz site.

Rise to a Champion
While not all of the daily quests here involve mounted combat, it is the focus of the tournament. All participants will begin as an Aspirant and be given quests to let you practice the basic mechanics of mounted combat against target dummies.

Each of the daily quests you complete will reward you with an Aspirant’s Seal. After a couple days of practicing your skills you will be able to gather enough of these seals to challenge an NPC and should you succeed, you will attain the rank of valiant of your race’s respective home city.

As a valiant you will be given a similar set of daily quests to continue your training, each of these daily quests will reward you with a Valiant’s Seal and after enough days of practicing you will be ready for another challenge, if you complete this challenge you will become a champion of your city!

I just have a quick question about after you become a champion. Once you become a champion with ur starting city can u stay a champion with them and then start with other cities or do you have to get rid of ur alliane with the city u are with and only gain rep with 1 at a time. I dunno if i worded that right but I hope you know what I mean. The reason I ask is because i want to be able to buy the mounts from each city eventually.

Kinda of an odd quest. Black knight is sitting right there, and he lets you car, errrm mount jack him. I know if I was chilling in my tent and some fool tried to jack my ride I would at least say something to him!

I would snag the field training daily quest (ie. the Scourge killing quest) before doing this one, since the mobs around the invitation and the orders will count towards it.

LOL, quick little aside. If you're like me and have a habit of AFKing during flights... when you land on this one, there is a NPC that patrols. So... don't be like me and come back dead.

Protip: don't log off while flying the gryphon unless you want to plummet to your death when you log back on (assuming you're not over water)

After becoming a champion you can become a Valiant with another faction. You can keep doing this one valiant faction at a time but, you keep the champion status after you've obtained it. Thus, you can do champion dailies and valiant dailies at the same time.

It is important to note that once you have become a champion, and a valiant for all but one faction, you should NOT turn in your valiant marks to become a champion of the final faction, because you will no longer be able to do double-dailies and you'll cut your gold income by almost half. Just drop the valiant's insignias from your inventory when you're down to your last faction!

Nice and Fast Quest but the Black's Knights Gryphon didnt get you back to Argent Tournament Grounds you have to get back on you own if you have flying mount :P other way is to use your HearthStone becouse you cannot swim back :P

Go to coords 77,21. Its about 25 yard away from the summon stone in The Argent Tournaments.
There you gonna find Black Knight's Gryphon, and when you do, use the item Enchanted Bridle and its "auto pilote" you away to the camp.
Now just pickup the Stolen Tournament Invitation and Black Knight's Orders inside the camp.
Done!

This line of quests DOES NOT count towards the Icecrown quests achievement .. I was missing a few to get it and was hoping to do these instead of those high lvl group ones.. but.. *sob*.. *searches for people willing to group up*.. guess will haveto do it the harder way :P

First thing I did when I got the quest was check the map, that leads to the invitation and junk, so I check here for the gryphon found it was next to the cemetry,..flew back, jack the ride and the bird flew back to that small island, alittle backward lol

I got the Stolen Tournament Invitation, Black Knight's Orders myself then got on the Gryphon, it just sat there and didnt move, then i abandoned quest and I was stuck on it. :(
Just relog if you have this issue and you are free! :D

i think this is bugged, even redoing the quest, it just sits there :(

No glitch, the gryphon is in a small camp by the meeting stone 77.8,21.

I can do the other two parts of this quest, just not this one. The gryphon goes incredibly slowly. Slower than walking speed. When it gets to a short distance of the Black Knight's house, I fall from the gryphon and die - all three times I tried.

I was able to fly my own mount to get the orders and the invitation but how do I get the gryphon component of the quest?

Is this quest still bugged? Turned in the pieces but npc will not give me next questline to spawn Black Knight. Is this 1 time per account or can it be done multiple toons?

or directly to the east of the tournament venue, in-between the horde and alliance tents, standing besides a small tent. As always, easy solution is to ensure "target" is tracked on your minimap, and then do "/tar black".

The Black Knight's Orders

Use the Enchanted Bridle to gain control of the Black Knight's Gryphon and ride it to its destination. Once you have arrived, recover the Stolen Tournament Invitation and the Black Knight's Orders and bring them to Crusader Rhydalla at the Argent Tournament Grounds.

Description

We must discover who sent the Black Knight to the tournament and what his master hopes to gain by killing the competitors.

The Kirin Tor has offered to help in this matter and provided us with something to help our search.

Take this enchanted bridle to the Black Knight's camp on the eastern edge of the tournament grounds and use it to gain control over the Black Knight's gryphon. The bridle's magic will force the gryphon to take you to his master's home. Search it and return with anything you find.
