The goblin runs pretty fast so try to keep up. I don't know if its because I was too far behind or if it just bugged but right after we got out of the cave and started running back to K3 he despawned.

Unlike most escort quests, there are multiple goblin miners in the cave. Even if it's crowded, you'll probably be able to find one to escort.

Two things to watch out for, the spiders use a frost nova like root and the goblin will run off leaving you in the snowy dust. Also, they will engage the kobold miner rivals in preference to the spiders, even if this means running thru a couple of spiders that were just chilling out to get to one... aggro'ing a fine mess. Love how the near dead who want to just escape with their lives go commando soon as they have a player escort.

By far one of the best escort quests as the escort doesn't move at walking speed. Just escort the goblin outside of the cave and you're done, not to K3.

People pointing that A Delicate Touch is a pre-quest, but I was unable to get Opening the Backdoor.

Tested on 2 characters:

A Delicate Touch+Bitter Departure handed. Ample Inspiration - not. Opening the Backdoor - can't get.
A Delicate Touch+Ample Inspiration handed. Bitter Departure - not. Opening the Backdoor - can't get.

In the conclusion: Ample Inspiration+A Delicate Touch+Bitter Departure are pre-quests for Opening the Backdoor.

The goblin is not buffable or healable but does heal itself after ea battle if injured.

The trick seems to be making sure you're right with him when he stops and turns around after he exits the cave. When he turns around to talk to you, you need to be nearby. He'll talk to you then you get credit for the quest completion.

I did this quest. But when he got to tha cave entrance ran off and despawned I did not get credit for it.

Ok i did it a 2nd time and got credit. I must have just been a little too far behind.
So for a tip if you dont wanna have to do this multiple times don't take the time to loot things.

As many of the comments earlier are trying to describe, as long as you're within a reasonable distance of him the entire time except the ending, at the ending you must be very close to him for credit. Otherwise you'll have to re-do it.
