This part of the quest is soloable.

If you don't run with coords, then when looking at the map of Howling Fjord the tablet is just a bit northwest of where the dotted path lines begin on the northeast side of the map - north of Giant's Run.

If you've gone into the snowy area at the base of the mountain, turn around and go back to the grassy area.
The tablet is leaning up against some rocks (as shown in the picture) and facing north (on the north side of the rocks).

This part of the quest can be soloed no problem.

If you're a little slow, like me, you might run around for a few minutes before locating the tablet. Its directly behind the camp of Iron Rune Guardians at the specified coordinates.

You might not think that this will be easy, but there's no fighting and nothing hard at all. It takes about a half minute and it's soloable. You are surrounded by giant elites, I panicked since I did it alone, but they're neutral and you can't attack them.

The Lodestone - target located at these Cordinates = 72 . 18 ,,, I will attempt to attach a Screenshot of the Lodestone or Tablet ...
Approch the Lodestone Target and activate the Attached Quest symbol ,,, a Hollowgram of a Named Stone Giant (name of MEGALITH) will appear and also a bunch of Ghostly images of other Stone Giants - Megalith urges his Stone Giant Brethern to follow him into the Mountains to obey the will of their Iron Dwarf Masters...
Megalith can be found walking up and down near Cords - 67 . 10
Megalith appears to be a seperate Quest...
Stay for Megalith's Message - it appears to be needed to complete the quest

To get to the Lodestone or Tablet from the Quest Giver Travel EAST along the Snow Line ,,, almost to the Cliffs and the Ocean you will see a Camp of "Iron Rune Guardians and Rune Binder's" it is to the South in the Green Area ,,, Next to the Camp ; to the West of Camp ; is a Pile of Rocks - Target is here ,,, it is Rune inscribed tablet with top part broken... Check Cordinates above...

The Lodestone

Sage Edan at Camp Winterhoof wants you to compare the Rune Sample with the Broken Tablet.

Description

We must find what's luring the giants northwest, so we can stop them before they reach their destination.

While the rune samples gave us some clues, the unknown runes worry me.

When I visited Giants' Run, I noticed a large broken tablet jutting from the ground where the northeastern part of the area met the snow at the foot of Frostblade Peak. Take this sample, compare the runes with the tablet, and see what you can learn about the identity of this lodestone.
