I wish she were Kel'Thuzad in disguise however. Even though I prefer a male lich, this is a very nice and dark+evil expressing model. Nothing to remark about it really.

The way our guild did this was pretty simple, it took us three tries to get her down, so aside from Deathbringer she was the next hardest.

We had 3 tanks, one on the left, right and back stairs. All caster classes were on the boss, and all physical classes were on the adds. All the add groups were split into 2 roughly equal damage groups.

The adds don't really do anything fancy aside from a curse and some cleaves to just point them away from the group, and decurse (it adds 15 seconds to all ability cooldown, so get it off quick). The casters will also put shields on them which make them spell reflect, but again casters should be on the boss so no biggie.

When the adds first come out, of course give the tanks a second to pick them up and wail on them, when your side is dead run to the back and kill the single add that comes from the entrance.

Every so often she will empower and re-animate an add. Some times the add is immune to magic which isn't a big deal since they are focusing on the boss so the normal add groups just stomped them. However sometimes they are immune to physical, in which case your add tank on that side will call out for the casters to turn to a particular side, then focus fire the add down and move back to the boss.

The boss will also mind-control so just handle this the same way as KT, sheep and move on.

Once you burn down her shield, she starts P2. No more adds spawn so kill the ones you have left and jump on her. She still casts Death and Decay so move out of it, but she does cast it faster to she will be moving a lot. She also spawns little ghosts and act as walking bombs. They have really low HP so just avoid them and blow them up, we honestly didn't even see them and just kicked the crud out of the boss and healed through the damage. However it is an AoE so spread out to avoid as much damage as possible. She will also Frostbolt, which of course should be interrupt because it hits like a beast, just set up an two interrupters and let them chain kick.

The fight is pretty healing intense so healer management is required, however you don't want to sacrifice DPS for heals on this fight as low DPS will very very quickly overwhelm you in adds or make the fight take a lot longer due to having to get her shield down. But once the shield is down, it gets much easier.

Btw, there's a 10 min enrage. Watch out for that. So you have to keep SOME dps on her during the mana shield phase. (Our guild was thinking of putting only a handful of dps on the sheild.)

Here were our 10m experiences:

Adds only spawned from one side of the room at a time, so have both tanks over there. Until DBM gets updated to make this trivial, have your tanks call out whether the mobs they are tanking get buffed and with what kind of buff. If the Adherents get Shroud of the Occult, that's a signal for your melee to drop whatever they are doing and attack them. Likewise, if the Fanatics get Fanatic's Determination, have your casters focus fire them down.
Vampiric Might is a magic buff on Fanatics that can be purged/dispeled or Spellstolen - I am not positive if the mage that Spellstole the buff actually got the effect though. Curse of Torpor is an extremely nasty debuff that can be cast on multiple people. Our mage was the sole decurser, and actually had Decurse itself go on a 15 second cooldown when he used it on someone else instead of himself first.
The most dangerous adds are the reanimated Fanatics: they turn into huge zombie guys that look like Ziggurat Defenders and are pretty much impossible to tank. Luckily, they move much slower than normal, so it is easy enough to grab aggro and kite them around until melee/ranged take them out.
There is enough time between add waves to get all of your DPS some solid boss-time, but only if you have everyone on adds. We had seen the 25m videos that showed casters on the boss and melee on adds, but in our experience we sailed into phase 2 much, much quicker by having people nuke the adds. It reminded us a lot of heroic Jaraxxus in this regard.
Phase 2 starts when she runs out of mana, so have tanks ready to pick her up immediately. Her Frostbolt is a ~2 second unresistable cast, and dealt in the neighborhood of 30,000 damage. You need someone to interrupt these. There is a stacking debuff that limits threat generation, so have tanks swap every 3-4 stacks. Finally, she summons a Shade that is untargetable and explodes for some non-trivial AoE damage when it reaches its target - this is something mainly for melee to worry about since they have the least time to react.

The TL;DR version is: 2 tanks, 1 decurser, 1+ interrupts, nuke the adds and watch for their buffs/debuffs.

I got a question. When my guild went into ICC 25 and fought her the adds got the buffs Vampiric Might and Shroud of the Occult even without being empowered. Is that a glitch or is it wowhead just wrong?

Almost got her down by assigning 2xmelee to mob-casters, and 2xcaster to mob-melee. 2 dps on boss, 2 healers total, and 2 tanks. Got her hp to 11%, and then we had to call the raid cause it was too late. But I have faith in that tactic. We were just unlucky.
A tip for healers; when the adds come, try to stay not in mid, but abit more to the oposite side of where they spawn, because the caster mobs reach you in the mid. If you go out of range, they usually target someone else. 2-3 shadowbolts on a healer could mean the wipe of your raid.

On 10 man, took several tries to get her down. At first we were trying the strategy with range dps on her to reduce her mana and melee on adds, it didn't work. Our last attempt, new strategy we had all dps on boss nuking her mana, all dps switching to adds to nuke them asap then go back to boss. This strategy worked first time we used it.

I wonder if a Disc Priest with some points in Mana Burn can, with some effort, be a difference maker on this one?

And maybe, also, warlocks use drain mana on her instead of life tapping when needed.

From my experience with this boss in 25-mode, the adds are only transformed into their more-powerful skeletal form after they died using Dark Martyrdom. I am not sure if this can spell be interrupted, but if it can, do it to prevent more work to the DPS.

I doubt mana burn would help that much as it is limited by your maximum mana (as all mana removal effects are). Fully raid buffed I hover around 35k mana, however hit capped I have around 30k (this would allow me to burn up to a maximum of 6k mana per burn with 3k being shadow damage done). So roughly 9k Per burn. Talented that is about 9k dmg per 1.6 seconds or 5625 DPS. So decent. Worthwhile if talented (which no PvE disc priests are) and if you have too many healers and need more dps.

Not sure if the Martyrdom tip is correct. I've seen mobs do Martyrdom almost as soon as they appear. What would be correct is that it "causes caster to die" and provokes reanimation. At least this is what I've seen on 10 man. 100% reanimation rate on adds who die from Martyrdom.

My guild gave her a shot last night in 10 man and all I can say is those Empowered adds hit like trucks. As a tank the melee adds where smacking me for 30k a pop.

This fight is one of the more challenging ones and fun ones when it comes to completing Storming the Citadel. But this is definitely easy compared to Saurfang Jr.. It's a survival fight at best. She activates a mana shield and puts out AoEs and shadow bolts at random raid members during phase 1. Adds also come out. On 10 man, they only come out on one side (but on 25 man they come out at both sides at the room and the enterance where you came into.) Kill the adds. But they ain't dead yet! Deathwhisper will randomly "revive" one of the cultists you killed. Depending on which cultist the Adherent will be immune to magic damage and the Fanatic will be immune to melee damage. They fanatics will cast a nasty buff on them that heals them (and by heal them I mean a whole lot) Meanwhile adherents place a shield over them absorbing damage. Heal people who attack this shield as it will do damage. After the mana shield is gone (and any adds you've cleared up) she'll cast a nasty frostbolt along with a stacking debuff with which tanks need to taunt off each other simultaniously. She still keeps phase 1 abilites and vengeful spirits will also appear from those dead cultists and try to reach someone and cause a whole of damage. Hopefully this helps you a lot with this fight.

The Cult Adherents should have priority in being killed first while they are still "alive" when they first spawn since both physical and any magic can harm them. Before they shield themselves. Because not only does it effectively increase their HP from 100k, to 150k. But it will take that much longer and more effort to bring them down since direct damage spells will be reflected back, leaving only physical attacks (and possibly less effective magic AoE) to bring the shield down. In addition, when shielded they cannot be interrupted and wont move, meaning bad times for melee if there is a death and decay at their feet.

TL;DR: Ranks of spells are considered separate by the Curse of Torpor, meaning you can downrank and continue casting/using abilities even when the highest ranks are on cooldown.

Ok, we all know that the Curse of Torpor is a pain in the ass, but there is a way to counter it, to a point. Since it places all abilities on a 15 second cooldown, effective when you cast the spell rather than when you get the debuff, it's possible to still be waiting for the spell cooldowns after you've been decursed or spirit cleansed.

If you're unfortunate enough for this to happen, there is a way around it, with minimal loss.

As a holy paladin, I use very few spells per fight when healing. Due to this, my second action bar is a relic of when I was leveling as a different spec, and rank 8 of Flash of Light was still on the action bar, and I noticed something. Despite rank 9 being on cooldown, rank 8 was usable. I was able to keep healing with only a 100 health or so penalty from downranking. Keep this in mind, it could ease your frustration.

Warrior tanks, a vig/taunt macro really helps for phase 2. Talk with your fellow-tank about it beforehand so he knows to click vig off before taunting off you again, or better yet re-vig on a high-threat dpser once you've got Deathwhisper securely; but whatever you do, don't have vig on your fellow-tank before you intend to taunt off him. An additional 10% threat reduction is the last thing he needs right now.

Hi if a warlock uses mana burn in p1 on 10(N) it will drain 90k a sec for 5sec thats 450k mana.I think that will realy faster if you dont have good dps

meaning ,every 15seconds (shorter with Chimera Shot) you drain 8% of her mana (which as at the time health) and gives you 300% of 8% of her mana,

and being that her total mana is around 2mil (10man) it's sufficient to say you will NOT go oom if used correctly

This boss fight is tough for Enhance Shamans. As a class that's damage is 45% or so magic damage, putting an Enhancement Shaman on melee adds is not the best choice. I find that a lot of people (on our server) try to put and rogue(s) in the group just on her shield and put classes like DKs, Pallys, and Enhance Shams on adds. I also find that these groups A. Have a hard time taking down the adds melee are supposed to and wipe or B. Due to in-experienced players the classes above end up getting spell reflected and die.

If you happen to be in a group where you don't have a lot of heavy melee damage, we've found it best to have casters help with the melee adds until the bubble, and then leave it to the melee to finish them up. This can help bring extra dps to the adds early on and make the melees job a bit easier. Just make sure your casters switch off when the adds bubble. While this strategy is a bit risky, it doesn't take the best players to pull it off. A pretty average group should be able to go through this fight using this strategy, granted it may take a try or two for people to get used to the bubbles. A group of better players should have no problem using this strategy,

Note: This strategy is for a group that is caster heavy/consists of melee classes that also have a high amount of spell damage.

I practically solotanked her during phase 2 today. How to do it? Don't get hit. Ever. Basically, I tried to LoS her around the pillars and juggle her over to DPS' direction at its worst, and taunt her back before she got to do harm.

I died at 100k hp, but the raid pulled through.

Wut wut.

Oh, and why I had to do it? The other tank got two-shot by her Frostbolts over the course of 3 seconds. x_x Not sure yet whether that was my or healer's fault, or whatever. No matter.

Healy priesties. Despite the continual downrating on the subject, Mana Burning is a viable way for you to contribute to bringing the shield down quickly, even if you do not have points in Improved Mana Burn.

Let's do some basic numbers shall we? Assuming your mana bar is at 30k (for the record, mine was at roughly 28.5k under my non-int-emphatic gear when I first entered ICC).

DW's mana pool is large enough that you are guaranteed to cap out your potential burn damage as 13% of her mana is far, far greater than 26% of yours. Therefore, it is safe to say that you will drain mana equal to 26% of your bar (for someone with 30k mana, this is 7800 mana burnt from DW).

After the initial burn, half of what was burnt will be dealt as shadow damage to the burnt target (3900 shadow damage), which will in turn also force DW's shield to replenish that damage. In other words, you will be reducing the shield by about 11700 mana every time you cast Mana Burn, far more effective than Smiting (even if every one of your Smites was to crit) and far less taxing on mana.

Other things to note are that the burn damage is affected by various raid-wide buffs that increase damage. I can confirm Arcane Empowerment supporting this, and see no reason why other abilities such as Ebon Plague would not also affect the burn damage.

In a raid that is having no difficulties dealing with adds, holy/disc priests will find themselves with a lot of downtime. With no adds present, the raid damage DW dishes out is pretty negligible in phase 1 and can be spot healed without so much of a thought. Druids, shamans and mages have Curse of Torpor covered (since priests can't remove curses), and in a group with high enough dps, the curses will hardly ever come out, if at all. In short, this makes for some very bored healy priests with lots of downtime between add phases (and with fast enough dps, you will be bored even during them). So, there is nothing wrong with dropping mana burns down as you wait for Phase 2 or something else to do before that phase. In fact, if you are going to be damaging the shield at all, I encourage it.

My mana burn untalented casts at about 2.34 seconds in Holy, whereas my Smite (5/5 Divine Fury) casts at about 1.6 seconds. This of course is factoring in my haste. My Discipline spec obviously casts even faster (also without Imp. Mana Burn) and has several additional haste buffs it can use. I am a troll, so whether I am Holy or Disc Berserking can also be used.

In short, Phase 1 boredom lets me feel like a dps at least until that shield goes down. While I'm healing. It's awesome. You should try it. And if somehow you end up managing two points in Imp. Mana Burn, I imagine you'll feel even better than I do.

Edit: Just so that no one bothers pointing out the obvious even though I specifically only stated Holy and Discipline, Shadow will naturally get more bang for its buck from its actual rotation. So no sense in replying as though I were suggesting this for Spriests as well.

Does anyone know which spells/attacks pally tanks can use on which adds? I find that sometimes my attacks are reflected and sometimes they're not. While tanking adherents, I was using my physical type attacks like hammer of the righteous, righteous shield and hammer of wrath and it seemed to be doing damage. My judgments appeared to bounce back as did my consecrate. When I tanked fanatics, I tried the opposite for threat gen and tried to stick to holy spells. Does anyone know if a comprehensive list of tank/adds combinations?

10-Man Heroic Notes
The key to this fight is standing on the platform behind Lady. Your tanks should get all the adds up near Lady so there is almost no travel time between adds and boss. Disfigured Fanatics are kited along the walls and are priority, as always. Because of the rapidity of the adds, Vampiric Might and Curse of Torpor need to be removed or dealt with ASAP.
Lady will Mind Control a single player every once in a while. Because every person has a lot to do in this fight, the key is to CC this person immediately so that the Mind Control and CC wear off close together... you don't want a non-MCed person stuck in an Freezing Trap for 8 seconds! A druid's Cyclone is perfect for this task, as is a Ret Paladin's Repentance. In our raid we have a Boomkin with great reflexes Cyclone people and stand on top of a hunter's Freezing Trap in case she gets Mind Controlled.
When Lady;s Mana Barrier breaks, all DPS has to stop while the tanks get threat and kite the boss to the opposite side of the room (where you came in). Since adds spawn during Phase 2, the tanks need to pick up the Fanatics and Adherants while they are killed. The extra space makes Ghosts easier to spot and avoid, which prevents their huge amount of damage (communication is key here; if a ghost is headed into melee the tanks need to know to move).
Minutiae: adds spawn much faster in Phase 1 and last longer. A single add spawns in Phase 2 that can be tanked and killed quickly. Tanks cannot taunt in Phase 2 and need to pull off each other the old fashioned way.
Difficulty: 4/10. A lot can go wrong in this fight, so coordination and communication is key. Having all 10 players alive makes the fight quite easy, so handle those Mind Controls.

Well, we totaly forgot about this in our first 10man run, and still downed her with a single tank on the first attemp. It took us two deaths before we realized whats happening, but after that, we were able to manage. WTB more aggro dumps!

She is actually solo-tankable despite the debuff. I've tanked her with the debuff at -100% threat generated for most of the fight. Just get a decent head start early on.

The trick is that she's still tauntable, and that ranged DPS need 130% of the tank's threat to pull aggro. This means that if a ranged DPS pulls aggro (and they will, since the tank generates zero threat), the tank can taunt Deathwhisper before she has a chance to go anywhere. The tank will now have that DPSer's threat, which is 130% of the tank's previous threat, and the ranged DPS need to reach 130% of that to pull aggro again. As long as that doesn't take longer than the cooldown on taunt, and your melee DPS can avoid overaggroing, she's tankable by a single tank despite the constant -100% threat debuff.

As the fight goes on, you'll need to taunt less and less often, as your threat is increased by a percentage o your current threat for every "taunt cycle". The hard part is getting enough of a head start to reach the point where you don't lose aggro before taunt is off cooldown.

The easiest strategy is to simply have two tanks who taunt off each other to let the debuff fall off, but don't panic if one of your tank dies on phase three - she is solo-tankable!

I absolutly love this fight for one reason only, Viper Sting. I've developed a rotation that allows me to keep viper up as much as possible so I'am never oom and am even draining her mana while I'm at it. It helps that most of the raids I've got on don't have me help with the adds

Downing this boss was...traumatizing, to say the least. I think the reason we wiped was because everyone's heads exploded from the constant yelling (well, either that or that we only had her down to 7% when she enraged)...A good tactic: turn of the game's sound for this fight. Not like she has any important voice emotes after the shield is down, and those show up as text anyway. We have found the ultimate shield to this boss! Mute!

Setting both our DK's, non-healer pally, and the Enhance shaman on the shield full time with everyone pitching in to damage it in-between add spawns on 25 man mode really helped down the shield fast enough on our second try, after some idiot told us to leave only 2 mages on the shield, claiming it worked. Needless to say, it didn't. This tactic really helps these classes use their real damage in a useful way, instead of it reflecting back and straining the heals to no end. Plus, the shield goes down much faster.

I like to think she was meant to be KT in some early concept of ICC, and later it was scrapped because KT would be reused again. IMO I would prefer if she was really KT (I mean actually KT again not this "zomg KT had a sex-change!" stuff) so we could finally destroy him.

And I also found it very funny that she doesn't whisper at all but screeches on and on and on. I'm guessing she's more of a banshee than a Lich (as opposed to, say, Sylvanas who is more Lich than Banshee)

She is a cool boss, excelent drops (at least for huntards) and pretty easy to do.

I'm having some problems with the @#$%ing bow... I've been there 10 times (counting icc10/25) and it never droped! Two days ago i've done ICC10 with my tankadin (alt), we killed Lady Deathwhisper and the retard bow droped. Is it normal or not? Does it happens with other hunters?

Solo'able by an average Item Level 372 Marksman Hunter using a Turtle. Lady Deathwhisper-10 was MUCH more difficult than Marrowgar-10. First off, make sure you have , , Dense Embersilk Bandage, Charred Glyph, Charred Glyph, Mythical Healing Potion, Flask of the Winds, and Drums of Forgotten Kings. I found Corroded Skeleton Key helped quite a lot too.

The strategy... Stand at the far back of the room (behind Deathwhisper--away from the entrance) and make sure your back is touching the wall! When DBM tells you adds are coming in 2ish seconds, Feign Death and stay Feign Death about 1-2s after they spawn then continue combat. This prevents you from having to deal with the adds--but be warned, move away from the back wall and they'll attack you. Do not use a Dense Embersilk Bandage until after she casts Death and Decay to ensure you get as many ticks as possible.

With , time spent in Feign Death heals you so you want to be in Feign Death as much as possible in P1 to ensure your health stays as high as possible (she spams Shadow Bolt while you are out of Feign Death which hurts badly). The way I managed this is, Feign Death has a 25 second CD (glyphed), make sure you jump out of Feign Death at around 30s until next adds spawn. She'll usually cast a Death and Decay at about 4-6s until next set of adds so be prepared to run out and then Feign Death.

Phase 2 was the easier of the two phases. Just keep up Mend Pet and Misdirection (she does Touch of Insignificance)--Feign Death when your aggro gets high and/or health is low--and you should get it.

I solo'd her on 10-man as a DK, with equipped ilvl 376. It took a few attempts. The key is to kill the adds as they come, and most importantly, to kill Cult Adherent immediately. They are nasty because they will soon cast Curse of Torpor (with a cast time too short to reliably interrupted) on you, leaving you very vulnerable, without being able to spam your abilities. I used Death Grip to pull them towards me as they came, and also used Anti-Magic Shell in case they cast it before I could kill them. Beware: Sometimes the boss will seem to kill one of them, but within a few seconds, they will resurrect as Reanimated Adherent, and still be able to cast Curse of Torpor.

Second priority is to kill the ones that turn into big zombies, as they hit like trucks.

Keep killing the adds, and wipe down the last adds when her mana shield fades. From there, it's very easy.

I solo'd her on 10-man as a DK, with equipped ilvl 385.
Most important kill this mob: Cult Adherent.
Reanimated Fanatic is the other hard part if you are blood DK because he immune to physical damage.:)
Use Prismatic Elixir, more shadow resistance.

Soloable for a second weekly solo shard on 25man by geared fury warriors. Have an ilvl of 476 and health reaches 500k with the ICC buff. Keep a Purification Potion in case you get Curse of Torpor while a deformed fanatic is up. The fight depends much on whether RNGsus is feeling merciful or not, the first couple of attempts LDW rose over half a dozen melee skeletons which beat on me until I couldn't take the damage. If you get lucky and get caster skeletons or even deformed fanatics they can be dealt with, especially with bladestorm. When I cleared it I had only 2 melee skellys on me and could manage the damage with the occasional interrupt of frostbolt and moving out of DND. Had about 30-40 seconds til enrage timer so although doable, it requires a fair amount of wipes to the whims of RNGsus and dps management

Soloed a 10-man Heroic version of Lady Deathwhisper as a Demo Warlock with Voidlord.

Talents: Dark Regeneration, Mortal Coil, Dark Bargain, Burning Rush, Grimoire of Supremacy, Kil'jaeden's Cunning
Glyphs: Demon Hunting, Imp Swarm, Soul Consumption

Tactic:
The most annoying thing in the whole fight is Curse of Torpor used by Adherents. This curse increases your ability cooldowns by 15 seconds. Remember to not stand in Death & Decay.
P1: This phase ends as soon as Lady Deathwhisper's mana shield is down (dmg done to Boss drains her mana). The priority is to kill all adds (especially Adherents) as soon as possible. Deformed Fanatics must be kited, otherwise you will die from their dmg. Use Metamorphosis to quickly kill adds. Adherent's Shroud of the Occult (deflects all harmful spells back to their caster) absorbs 50k dmg before breaking - use Voidwalker to do it. Unfortunately, I forgot about that and so the fight was a lot more difficult than it should be. As I said previously, I like to make life difficult :P
P2: In this phase, priorities don't change. You deal with adds as well as in phase 1. Touch of Insignificance (reduces target's threat generation by 20%; stacks to five) should not be a problem. Use Dark Apotheosis or defensive cooldowns, when your HP falls dangerously. You should avoid Vengeful Shades (ghosts). Good Luck and Have Fun!

Just soloed her as a 90 assassination rogue at ilvl 482 or so. I used deadly poison, leeching poison, drums of forgotten kings, flask of spring blossoms, and 250 agi food buff.

Basically the strategy for the first part is to switch between meleeing Lady Deathwhisper so she doesn't despawn (for example, if you leave her to chase down the ranged adds), and getting the adds down, and not dying.

To handle the adds I took Throw Shuriken to give me better ranged damage against the casters, as well as to give me dots to use for recuperate. I also took Deadly Throw, to help finish them off (a fresh button when Deadly Torpor was up). I'd melee the boss a bit and get rupture going, kill an add, then melee the boss and refresh poisons and rupture, and so on. When shiv was up I'd use that on whichever target I was in melee with for the healing effect. I did not test Smoke Bomb on the adds, to see if it would make them run in, but if it works in this fight, that would help to deal with them (although it appeared to be useless vs. Lady Deathwhisper).

When her shield went down, I finished off the last ranged add, popped a healing potion as my health was quite low by that time, and popped Shadow Blades and Vendetta and burned her down. It was a bit close by the end, racing through her last 500k before she raced through whatever I had left, but I made it.

Other rogues may have other methods, but since I saw no posts here, I wanted to share what worked for me. I hope it helps.

Soloed as a blood death-knight on 25 non-heroic. Her "give everything 15 sec. cooldown" curse was a major pain in the ass and the reason she only died 10 seconds after her berserk went off (not that her 200k frost bolts were all that dangerous).
Switching to Gorefiend's Grasp helped with her adds.

Soloed the 10 player version of this with my 85 blood DK in 417 ilevel gear including Jade Forest greens and auction house blues.

When you start the fight she casts Mana Barrier on herself which heals her when she takes damage but uses up mana in the process.

You have to DPS her in order to use up all her mana and cause her to start taking damage. Adds will spawn while you're doing this. Cult Adherents must be killed immediately because they cast Curse of Torpor on you which increases your abilities cooldown by 15 seconds.

If she turns one of the adds into a Deformed Fanatic be careful. They hit very hard and can be fought one at a time but if you get two you should kite them around. The other adds you can just ignore or kill or whatever.

Once the mana barrier is down the adds will stop spawning and you can kill Lady Deathwhisper.

Just managed to solo her as a Blood DK in 25man, ilvl 489. When she summoned adds I immediately went around killing Cult Adherent's to stop them casting Curse of Topor on me. I would Death Grip, Gorefiend's Grasp, or just run at them. Another useful way of dealing with them is LOSing them behind one of the two pillars in front of Lady Deathwhisper. Also be sure to rekill the Adherent's if they get ressed. The other adds I ignored, they would just get killed by Blood Boil and Heart Strike as I attacked her anyway.

The only problem with my method is that it took ages, I downed her a mere 2 seconds before she enraged. A better method might be to use Glyph of Dark Succor as Frost or Unholy and heal that way, as the adds are very easy to down.

Managed to solo her on 25HC as a Frost DK, couldn't pull enough dps to solo her as Blood. As previously mentioned, what you want to do is get Glyph of Dark Succor and use that to heal yourself by killing the adds. Make sure to break LOS from the three Cult Adherents by standing behind one of the two pillars.

If you let them cast Curse of Torpor on you you're gonna have a bad time.

Also I forgot to mention that if you're still having trouble with healing you can use Control Undead on a Deathspeaker Disciple in the same room. They have two abilities: Dark Blessing and Shadow Mend. Very useful.

On 25-man heroic, she mind controls 3 players, ending the encounter if there are no pets for her to be in combat with. However, even if you do have pets, when she mind controls you, she will use your damaging abilities to kill the pets. To deal with this, you must either:

have enough pets out so that she can't kill them all with your abilities while you're MC-ed; or
don't dispel Curse of Torpor prior to the mind control, and try to put most of your damaging abilities on cooldown in time for MC.

Once we used both approaches, we were able to down her as Resto Shaman and Warlock.

With high dps, casters can simply nuke the boss down and ignore the curse. Trying to find ways to break the shield off Adherents is a pain and if they accidentally get hit by any of your spells the reflect will smash your face in -very- fast.

Just a note for ICC farmers at lvl 100 - if you don't engage any trash before Lady Death, which is fairly easy these days, there will be no trash before the Lootship.
