Follow the purple footprints from where you get Kah-Bear until you get to the spawn location. It is marked by a bunch of ribs with a slab of meat sitting in front of it. If the meat is not there (it is very obvious), it takes about 4 minutes to spawn.

Notes about this quest:

You have to follow the footprints all the way to the end. If you go too fast or move too far off the path the prints will disappear and you have to start over.
Others can be on the same quest but you can't follow their instance of the footprints. You have to start your own and follow it all the way to the end.
You can't kill someone else's instance of the boss and get credit. You have to wait for the meat and click it yourself, then kill the mob to get credit.

Required but unmentioned is the co-ords for this quest.

Note that you have a timer to complete this. With the four minute timer on the meat, you could loseKah-bear before the reset on the meat if someone else has done it. I lost Kah-Bear waiting on the meat. When I went back to try to get him a second time there was no option available to get him back.

How do you get rid of this NPC? There's no quest to drop. It doesn't stealth with you and pulls everything.

If you're a stealth class and want to know how to get rid of Kah-Bear after you kill Malbog because he doesn't stealth and pulls everything, click off the buff. The icon looks like a little pawprint trail.

The footprints just follow me, and don't guide me anywhere.

I think this best sums up what is wrong with blizzard. The fact that you have to stand around and wait your turn to click on the item or you don't get credit is an absolute failure in design and execution, even though you CAN kill the mob and loot it. Someone actually sat there and said "let's make it so that you only get credit for the kill if you actually summon it, even if there's 20 other people doing the same quest". Not only that, but it's time gated on the clickable item AND you have a timer on the NPC you're following.

There are so many other things in this expansion similar to this where they push group content and if you're lucky enough to get a group, you might not get credit because you weren't the one that originally started it.

And they wonder why people are leaving.

I looted this mount while not on the "quest", I had not spoken to Kah'dee, did not have Kahbear with me, etc. Someone else spawned him, I wasn't even grouped with them. I just jumped in to help and it dropped. Others have reported the same experience over on the Malbog page. So just keep at it ;)

Followed the prints had 11min left on timer when meat appeared, died once, came back and whacked on him til he died...no mount in drop. Did not get ahead of footprints and there rest went as should. Did I not get mount because I died? Do I have to go back and start all over?
