Makes me wonder what they're gonna do with the original location of the dragon isles that never made it out of early wow development yet still remains blocked off
I tough it would be more on Top left. Sinse there is dragon rider ghost on Azuremist island. But at the same time Azeroth round so I guess its the same thing in the end
It’s already been stated in early interviews that The Dragon Isles is located north-east of the known Azeorth land masses, which has also been mentioned in articles made by wowhead. There is no need for speculation posts like this, when posts by this site have already quoted the interviews where’s the developers have told us where it’s located.
its always been north of lorderon lorewise... tht folklore and fairytales book even confirmed it with the uther story...
Whenever the game ends, it'll be funny to see how cluttered Azeroth's map is with all the continents.
Whelp, they’re starting to run out of blank spaces on the map. Wonder how many more Azeroth-centric expansions they can squeeze out before they have to fling us back out into the cosmos.
Top right? Hmm I think its about time there are some new zones in the left side to balance it out. Feels very tipped to one direction
i feel like it should be closer to northrend on the leftside but idk maybe they will revamp the map again like they did when they addes the maelstrom in cata and it wasnt in the dead center of the map lol
Ion answered this question in an interview, I think a month or two back. The answer was "east of northrend, north of sunwell". This is exactly the spot that was indicated. So yep, hasn't changed. Cool.
It can also curve upwards, although feels a bit off location if its there as you have broken isles and stuff on that "side" if you put the maelstrom in the middle.
Now to travel by boat from Org and get sucked into the maelstrom.
I love how they just refuse to touch the map around Kalimdor, what are they hiding I wonder.
Seems to be the right location. Lorewise I think it's supposed to be above EK. But with Northrend being the "roof of the world" it does look a little awkward on a map to put them (Dragon Isles and Northrend) on the same latitude. Limitations of a video game map and trying to just fit everything all on it at the same time I guess.
What is this? I am sure everyone know where Dragon Island is located... Above Eastern Kingdoms. It's like common sense...
That where my guess was..cool I predicated that location it makes sense
Already did an article about this with the boat tour stopping in the top-right.
