Mythic+ issues aside I like this idea. I also liked this idea back in Cata when they had archy bonuses in all the dungeons also....just remembering that this wasn't a completely new concept they've done.Darque
I predict some good buff fights, something like the TOS "eyes"...ppl wanting to take them all. Should be a good idea to cap this and maybe grant certain amount of buff to the one who activates the goliath.
Loving these decisions. People continue to scream in fear of not being meta. Too bad. Adapt or quit.
Great addition! <3If a Havoc DH and Ret pally are up, they would look to bring a Kyrian Ret over NF DH in this dungeon -if- they're the type to do that anyways.This just makes all covenants worth bringing. They're not gonna wait 15min for a KYrian Havoc DH with the right io score and ilvl.
Tired of people whining about how lfg will clearly be 'must be kyrian dh'. Like, you can join +20 tol dagor groups without a rogue in them, and that's probably the most mandatory class to bring to a dungeon there's ever been.Lfg is just not that elitist. You'll get the occasional elitist groups, but the majority of groups are not going to be enforcing meta until you get to the very top keys. It just isn't that big a deal.If you're getting rejected from most +15 groups, it's because you don't have the gear or experience, not because of your class or spec. Stop trying to blame 'the meta' for your own failings as a player.
imagine dps dh picking them all up, popping meta and being unable to die for 40 seconds due to leechthis makes me moist
Similar to raid, Blizz is trying to justify the purpose of having a Covenant, even tho it is near impossible to balance correctly. 40 s duration is short enough (maybe one or two packs, or a single boss), but the fact that this kind of mechanisms existing in the dungeons throughout the entire SL dungeons is kinda baffling, meaning that every content has to be revolved around the Covenant, as if the character identity is shifted aside and the covenant identity is put forward. Blizz really is desperate for Covenant to work, even though it's totally dependant on the player's preferences.

It will be fine. This isn't a new system. Court of Stars had this same buff system, but for different classes. The sky didn't fall.
Just going to build my own keys with friends to disregard all the excessive nonsense going on here .
Everyone is like "LFG is going to require <insert covenant> <insert class>"..Imagine making your own group, even maybe with your own key so you don't have to deal with that toxicity lol.. All those LFG groups are made by someone.. You could be that someone and not require such stupid things.Also, to believe this is going to be applicable in M+ is ludicrous.
Oh that's cool! So it's kinda like court of stars with different buffs if you bring certain covenants?
So what kind of impact will these have on M+? Mandatory Covenants for certain ones? :|
