anti-bot measure, maybe? pretty fun.
These are stupid easy to mine. Just wait for one set of explosives to go out, stand where none are, and you're good to mine. They have awful accuracy.
You mine these faster to closer you are to the centre of the node.
lmao this sounds fun XD
Do we know if the tools from Dragonflight gives any bonus at all or count as a basic tool only?Rerolled a new race to 70 with the catchup gear, so have 0 skills in mining and blacksmithing.curious if I should roam the AH quickly or ignore that.
I hope the targeting of these get improved and can actually kill all the bots. And when the bots die, their accounts get banned. Wait, what?
Reads like an April Fools announcement, honestly.
Lets blow things up while we mine! 🥳🥳🔥🔥💣💣
what ever to slow down those bots is welcome hell even put puzzle on top of it
I don't think any of you guys who are talking about this being an "anti-bot measure" understand how much Blizzard profits off of bots. Remember those posts about "We've banned 276493 bot accounts this month"?276492 of those accounts bought another account and are back to botting, because botting earns you more gold, therefor money, than the game costs.Bots are playing because they're allowed to buy Battle.net Balance through the gold they cheat, which allows Blizzard to ban them over and over again, while real players buying gold through WoW tokens pay for the bots.Blizzard has no intention to truly stop botting, every single bot they ban has spent upwards of $50 on the game, at the very least, and every single bot they ban will most likely buy another account, simply because it's that profitable. So no I don't think this is anything they've designed to combat bots, simply because A: Bots can just ignore the nodes and B: it's very unprofitable to truly work against bots. Sure you can put some half hearted measure out there so players don't think the bot issue is being completly ignore, but the truth is, bots are earning a lot of money for Blizzard, I don't see them giving up on it.In the end, this is a measure that's meant to "make mining / herbalism more interactive / interesting / any other buzzword that was used in the meeting". It's not a measure used to combat botting.
If it kills the bots then please add this to herbs as well.
Is it fixed value damage or % of health? Important cause a tank could just pop a defensive and stand there or if it needs a true immune to ignore.
my first thought too, anti-bot ore nodes, now stick dynamite to flowers too.The botting last expansion wasnt even funny in Zaralek Cavern, i reported for 3 months and gave up, they do bans in waves, once a month, i got an ingame mail once a month thanking me for my reportings, i was maybe quieter for 1-2 days but i saw all the old names botting again, and they were botting in the cavern 24/7. Problem is, bots will find solution for minigames at ore/flower nodes too, best would be really a GM at hotspots monitoring, but guess thats too expensive for blizzard, got to min max the profits.
Oh, I always wanted*checks notes*a mining node in game trying to actively kill me
