Okay - that is interesting to think about
My first thought was they are getting quite fast rid of anduin, good to evil to raid boss to gone next expac.
Sigh! can they make it any more predictable than this, Jesus, who wrote this...so this is how they will try to redeem Sylvanus, by having her save Anduin..
And ofcoz they wasted such an opportunity for Uther to redeem himself. Instead again, we se UTHER THE LIGHTBRINGER just as a broken soul that has a itchy wound on a chest. For $%^&s sake...
So, stripped Anduin of his soul, used his body as a trojan horse to get in and do what was there to do. 'The vessel has performed it's task perfectly' . Jailer's pretty consistent on calling things what they are, and if they had Anduin's soul under control I think he'd have said 'soul' not "vessel". So, we'll be doing a bit of soul rescue, reunite with body, I suspect.
I am shocked to see how easily a "minion" of Jailer can dispatch one of the most powerful beings in Shadowlands, along with her royal guards around. I'm sorry, but this is ridicilous. If she's dead then this is a big middle finger to people who joined Kyrian covenant.
Holy crap did they just throw all credibility for the expansion down the drain. So, we're in Bastion, established as an impenetrable fortress, populated by beings with hundreds, IF NOT THOUSANDS, of years, of martial prowess under their belt, who are also in high alert because they know the Jailer is planning something nefarious... And not only do they grant an audience to a virtual nobody, at least to their eyes. They let the aforementioned nobody approach the Archon without any trouble. No one, of those hundreds of highly-trained, highly-paranoid people detected ANY sign of treachery. The Archon, the very embodiment of the virtues of those brainwashed, infallible super soldiers, was downed in one super-powered sucker punchAND The perpetrator manages to escape, absolutely unharmed, to the very heart of the Maw. I know they had to rush things, and they couldn't take as much care as would have been ideal with a few aspects, but to pull such an implausible twist seems particularly unprofessional and shoddy. Hopefully we will get at least a semblance of justification on how to all of the aforementioned, incredibly unlikely series of events came to pass, in a light that makes them appear as at least a little bit less like the Kyrian as a whole were carrying a gigantic idiot ball at the moment, but that doesn't seem very likely, to be honest. TLDR: this whole video, and what it implies for the other factions, is a massive ass-pull by Blizz.
Ardenweald, Bastion and Revendreth?
So rumors about WoW story being written by a 9 years old kid were true...
I wonder what comes first, Mary Sue's redemption or the complete trivialisation of Arthas' story.
Well now 2 things are obvious:1. Sylvanas will get redemption-arc.2. We will rescue Anduin.
I think it's super lazy that they are basically reusing Wotlk cinematic moments. EVERYBODY and their mother got the parallels. Like, yeah, it was one of the best arcs you've ever created, how about you try something new? Less naive than LK 2.0, Trashvanas being "super smort, and actually YOU WILL ALL SEE what she meant! in the future! maybe!", sigh.
If they bring back Arthas, I'm probably gonna quit WoW. It seems like the past two expansions have been plain nostalgia baiting, and it feels lazy. I'm tired of "Leader does something ^&*!ed up, but it turns out it was for the right reason". or "We Killed your favorite character off, but guess what they are back." It seems like they are just banking on $%^& that worked in WoTLK and cataclysm.
Uther touched his chest because he felt a presence and was trying to figure it out for a moment there as we saw in Bastion cinematic. The kyrian stopped him due to obvious reasons and kept him moving along. Time for uther to step up boys.
