I found him on the southernmost island of Marshlight Lake (coords: 22, 46). He is non elite, but you may want to clear a few of the other mobs on the island before engaging.

Is there a prereq for this quest? Zurjaya doesn't seem to give it to me, I finished pretty much every quest in Zangarmarsh too.

Spawn time is between 5-7 minutes.

The description gives you the impression he's in the water. He infact spawns right in the middle of the island there and never moves. co-ords confirmed 22,46

Level 63 mob. Clear 2-3 of his buddies and it's an easy pull for a very easy solo.

This quest has a pre-requisit and it is not either of the other quests that this quest giver gives.

Only had to clear a path to him. There were at least 3 mobs left behind Terrorclaw. Didn't Fear me even when his hp got low.

This quest was not on offer for me until after I'd killed Mragresh (objective of 'The Biggest of Them All' (http://www.wowhead.com/?quest=9903).

When I went off to kill Mragresh it wasn't on offer, when I came back this quest was on offer prior to even doing the hand-in for Biggest of them All. I did not level etc in the meantime. I assume having killed Mragresh at some point is a prereq to getting this quest.

I could not get this quest until after I finished the "Anglin to Beat the Competition" quest, but I got it afterwards and it was rather easy(62 prot warrior) and just killed 2 mobs on the southern end of the island to make way for him. An easy way to counter the fear + aggro other mobs is by pulling him into the water and you should be far enough away so that when he fears you won't aggro the others on the island.

very easy, i killed one mob, used faerie fire to lure him in the water away from the other mobs and slayed him. ya he used fear, but again i was in the water away from all mobs.

To all those that had trouble getting this quest; although the above comments are correct regarding Angling to Beat the Compotition being a preQ, I did not see the Pursuing Terrorclaw immediately, only The Biggest of Them All. After NerdRaging I simply walked away from Zurjaya for a few seconds, spoke to her again and voila! The quest appeared for me to take.

The items rewarded from this quest can be socketed with WotLK-era gems, which can make them very worthwhile upgrades. Unfortunately Cataclysm gems have a minimum gear ilevel requirement and so can't be used with these items.

Despite all the changes to Outland quests, be aware that this mob -still- has an annoyingly long re-spawn time of 5-7 minutes and quest credit for killing it is not shared like many other named mobs in the old world zones. This can be a serious pain thanks to CRZ and the lack of people /inviting others to share credit these days.

Unless you're grouped up, whoever tags first is the only one that gets quest credit.

For leather wearers who are levelling, this quest is huge. Why? At level 25 this gives ilvl 50 boots with 2 sockets. In SL, there was a Shadow Labs quest that gave everyone ilvl 50 boots with 2 sockets if you did it at level 44 or 45. Since DF prepatch the ilvls got boosted and that's no longer the case.

How to get 2 socket ilvl 50 boots in 10.2.6 as a leather wearer:
1. Do Angling to Beat the Competition
2. Pick up this quest and kill the mob to the west
3. Hand in this quest at level 25
4. Hope to high heavens you don't get an random "upgrade" eg I just got a blue version that is ilvl 60 instead of 50, making them completely useless.

If, like me, you were unlucky and got an "upgrade", try Escape from Durnholde for Southshore Sneakers.

Plate wearers can try A Job Unfinished... for Ascendant's Boots.

Description

I've caught every kind of fish that lives in the marsh, but there's one that eludes me. Sure, I've caught eels and mudfin frenzies. But the last time I was out on one of the islands in Marshlight Lake, I hooked a gigantic bogstrok that snapped my line and got away.

Terrorclaw, he's called, and I won't rest until he's dead. He's too big for any fisherman to catch, so I suppose we'll just have to kill him the old-fashioned way.
