Be aware that by accepting this quest you are committing to a long multi-part, multi-quest-giver series of quests (you can, of course abandon it; my point is that if you just want a single quick quest to do, this isn't the one for you)

To complete "Learn from Granny Scribbles" do all her old wives tale quests until the last one. You will know its the last one because it will give you warband rep.

If you completed all the quest with the bees and are left with "Help Janky" the quest shows a circle up there but there is nothing left to do. Go back underground and finish other quests in and around Gundargaz.

If you're stuck on this quest with only Fourman Grimes left to help, but none of the NPCs seem to trigger anything, check if you have the quest On the Job Training. Abandon it, and pick it back up, and now you'll be able to do a small minigame quest for Therkan.

The battle pet from it can be caged and sell. The price for them will probably never be higher so might as well sell them if you want the gold.

If you're like me and left this quest for later because you were confused where Janky was and by the map telling you "(Optional) Exit to Ringing Deeps", he's in Isle of Dorn at /way 72, 41.

You can get there however you like. If you've unlocked it from the other chain quest. I recommend taking the elevator from The Ringing Deeps at /way 53, 44 up to the Isle.

TL;DR Go up to Isle, finish Janky's bee quests, come back down to Deeps.

I ran around outside, looking for them in the blue circles on the mini map, before I found them. All three of them are in the building at /way 48, 35. Fourman Grimes and Janky are on the ground floor, and Granny Scribbles is down the stairs to the left.

Worst WOW quest EVER that I can remember.

It requires completing three long separate quest chains. One of those is listening (re-enacting) to an endless (OK, like six) sequence of stories. Another is a "do a sequence of clicking on nearby objects as specified by the quest giver, each having to be done in a short amount of time. If you pick the wrong item to click on, or do not do so fast enough, you have to start over. Yet another is a really tough sliding tile puzzle that you can skip, but then you have to wait for a several minute timer to run down.

It's like they've taken all the worst of the worst in wow quest concepts and put them all under one controlling quest. Expect to spend at least an hour -- maybe more -- on this.

Sound like fun? If so, good for you, enjoy! For me, it has soured me entirely on The Ringing Deeps (wasn't loving the zone anyway (reminds me of Zaralek Cavern in Dragonflight, which I also didn't enjoy). Hopefully things pick up again soon, as I am SO done with annoying Kobold quests.

For some reason, I'm seeing this quest available on the map in The Ringing Deeps, in Gundargaz, in the building with Magni & Moira...

To complete Janky's quest, after you help the bees on the surface of the Isle of Dorn, you need to go back to Gundargaz. There is nothing visual to guide you to the next step, but if you paid attention when Janky said he was going to build a stall, you know you need to talk to Bosh, the General Goods vendor who stands at a stall in Gundargaz near where Janky stands waiting. Read what Bosh says--he directs you to the next step, which is to talk to the innkeeper, who directs you further. This quest is sort of a middle finger to all us folks who skip reading quest text and don't listen to what the NPC's says. You do have to pay attention to this one or you will be lost.

If the quest is showing up on your map, but you can't find it anywhere then you still need to progress in the main quest line. The NPC that gives you the quest is part of that quest line and will show up once you finish his part.

I tried to pick this quest up on an alt, it showed up even after I unchecked "Warband Completed Quests", but talking to Granny Scribbles to start the chain gives me nothing but a "You ready to hear story, Tenderfoot?" dialogue line with no option to start the quest and go into the first scenario.

I'm thinking it's either bugged for alts or wasn't properly labeled as a core Warband quest that you can't re-do with alts to hide it.

something worth noting is that there are a few quests that are listed as part of this chain (holy hydrocarbons and deep wax galactic) but are HIDDEN, and NOT ACTUALLY REQUIRED for the chain to be completed and give NO REWARDS

I only made a Wowhead account so I could post this to try and help some people because this questline is stupid.

After spending AGES flying around Gundargaz, I accidentally stumbled across Janky at 72,42 on the Isle of Dorn, where he wanted me to do some quests killing bees and collecting honey.

You then get directed back to Gundargaz where there is a short 'take this to him, then take this to her' etc questline to help pay off Bosh's drinking debt. Eventually, you'll help Janky build his candle shop and this terrible questline will be finished

For all those doing the "I cant get the door to open :( How do I get to Granny"
You need to go and help the Kobolds (Speaker Brinthe storyline) and complete the Back to Gundargaz quest.
Then Skitter turns up outside the Assembly of the Deep building and the storyline can be started.

If you see the quest at the map, but you can't find Skitter, then you need to do more quests in the campaign to "unlock" him.

You do have to sort of respect the care with which the devs have assembled over a dozen especially annoying quests to throw at unsuspecting players who were just expecting to have to talk to 3 NPCs. .

Admittedly, this is a long quest chain - not just a few minutes of assisting 3 NPCs. But, to put things into perspective: it's less than 2 dozen quests and you will likely gain a full level upon completion: 175K XP for your first toon, and > 180K XP for your second based on One Warband Mentor: The War Within, and even more for your 3rd, even more for the 4th, and so on. Plus you will gain even more XP by killing mobs and discovering new areas along the way. Also, by the end of the story line you will accumulate more than 1500 Reputation with The Assembly of the Deeps. By now, the tips in this forum are very helpful for getting through it. Have fun!

Description

Exciting to have new place call home, <name>. Not quite settled, though. We not know Gundargaz. Gundargaz not know us. Time to fix both! Find out how help here. Teach new friends about us. Kobolds clever and friendly, so should be easy! Start with help three kobolds. Fourman Grimes want get to work right away. She very task oriented. Granny Scribbles tell you lot about kobold culture. And Janky want set up new business in town, sell candle to Gundargaz.
