For *this quest specifically*, the net you want is at 63.59, 75.38.

The other net won't work for this quest, that's just your daily net.

The net will be locked if the stock (the bar on the right side) is not good or higher.
To get it up all you have to do is Khurl the fishing trainer's repeatable quest.
Hand him 10 of whatever fish you choose a couple of times and that bar will fly up!

The net is underwater and very hard to see. Look for a yellowish glowy thing that you can click on.

LOL it is not in the Azure Span.. it is in the Waking Shores.. bottom right of the map.

There are at least two spots to place your net... and you can place multiple nets at the same time.

Currently completely unable to do this.
The mass group fishing rares is draining the stock instantly. Turned in some fish an the % goes to 8, but drops *immediately*.
As the stock never goes to good, it is impossible to place a net.

There is a clickable net at about /way 63.58, 75.38, under the water.

Quest seems to be one per account, opens up net fishing account wide.

I found where to place the net the first time easily enough, but when I went back, I didn't remember where it was, and did not see it or a place to put a new net. I also didn't know if I needed to craft a net each time I cast it.
So...
1. The FULL of FISH net that you put down 10hours before is underwater, cords 63/75

2. You do not need a new net, it seems once you learn how to make the first one, you just have the necessary net and skill to net fish.

If you don't have a net yet, it's made in the Tuskarr Village in the Azure Span, but you can't make it until your rep is high enough. I think that usually when the quest to make the next comes up, you will have the rep to do everything.
You're not actually placing a net, you are clicking on a highlighted net to trigger the net to become active and catch fish...but you have to learn how to make the net before you can do this (I think) so it's kind of a chicken or the egg thing, whether it's actually a net, or just the placement of the net...either way, fishing is more fun! I always wanted a fishing net!

Seems the golden place net thing here will not appear if the fish is low. Which it always is at the moment as nearby people are spamming for rares.

Times like this is when quest designers need to be named and shamed...

I attempted this quest about 12 hours ago. Just *setting* the net did not count for quest completion. I came back ~12 hours after setting the net, then placed the net again, and THAT'S when it counted towards completion.

Description

Want to try out your net? Go to the river mouth to the south of Waking Shores, and find a place where the fish are abundant. There should be a good spot for setting up a net.
