Think this is bugged. My husband and I both tried to do this quest together today, and we both went around on the raft 3 times each and could not figure out how to complete the quest.

There was no progress bar for us like there was in a lot of youtube walkthroughs.

Hi all

Small Quest Chain to unlock cataloging World Quests Cataloging. When You finish this Quest Chain You will reach Ready, Aim, Catalog!. To unlock Quest Chain you need to have Renown lvl 8 with Dragonscale Expedition "Cataloging the Expedition"

1. A Cataloger's Paradise - Optional Quest. When You will reach Renown lvl 8, Doc Nanners monkey will spawn to give you quest to speak with Cataloger Coralie /way #2022 48.49 82.72
2. Basic Cataloging Gear - Press on Expedition Supply Kit /way #2022 47.32 83.36, and learn skill Cataloging Gear ( after this quest chain is good to learn all skills from climbing if you have Dragon Isles Supplies ).
3. Pictures with Purpose - Go to see Akunda the Cataloger /way #2022 49.87 68.35
4. Picture Perfect - Jump on Cataloger's Raft and do pictures to animals using skill 1. When YOu will get to 100% quest will finish. If You will not get 100% in 1 run just use Cataloger's Raft one more time.

When You finish this Quests You will see new WQ on map. But before you go to do them go back to Expedition Supply Kit /way #2022 47.32 83.36, and learn all skills.

You should see a small light colored disc in front of you, that's your camera lens. Try and take pics of wildlife (hotkey 1) while they have a glowing light around them for better shots. 3 shots and then you have to reload film (hotkey 2)

Remember, always look for the new action bar when told to do new things.

This quest reminded me of The Amazon Trail game from the 90s. I remember we had a computer lab in elementary school and we all got to play this game after we finished playing some typing game lol. Was probably close to around when WoW first came out and I had no idea about WoW because I was only 8-9 years old XD

Quest is bugged:
The raft will never spawn if you just wait, you'd have to log out and back in again. For a very brief moment it will appear before it (again) disappear.
I manage to get on the raft this way, though the quest will not finish. So I wrote a ticket, reply were simply: we don't offer hints on how to complete quests - even if they are bugged.
Small indie company.

There's a problem with the world quest that make impossible for some users to progress in the quest, since the raft will not show up (will be phased).
Reported the bug but I doubt at this point they will fix it.

Hope after the world quest ends, I will be able to finish it for the achiev.

So, for anyone in the future who stumbles across not being able to complete this quest for the questline achievement - If the Cataloging World Quest in Waking Shores is up, you'll be unable to complete this quest. Once the world quest despawns (expires basically), the raft will remain visible in this area and allow you to click it and finish.

After days of waiting unable to complete the quest, I can confirm today when the WQ despawned I came back and I'm able to see the raft again.
