This is the weekly repeatable quest provided by Bolvar in Haven. In concept, this quest is identical to the one given in Korthia.

Upon completion you are awarded a Tribute of the Enlightened Elders treasure chest, 400 Cosmic Flux and 1250 Reputation with the Enlightened.

Within the treasure chest you are awarded a few trash items, along with 2x Anima Matrix (500 Anima) an ilvl 233+ epic quality item. (ie: Cypher-Etched Ring), 140x Cyphers of the First Ones (currency), 1 Progenitor Essentia and 910g, 60s, 32c in gold. You are also rewarded with Renown if you have not yet reached lvl 80.

I obtained this quest on patch day (Tuesday, 2/22/22), and for me it is showing that it will end in the morning on Thursday, 2/24/22. That would make it a two-day quest, not a semi-weekly quest that resets halfway through the weekly reset. Maw Invasions and N'Zoth Assaults from BfA were semi-weekly and reset with the Tuesday reset and on Friday evening, exactly halfway (3 days and 12 hours) into the week.

Is there anyone who played on the PTR who can clarify anything about this?

If you dont finish the quest by the time the quest expires, do you lose all your progress even if you accept the new quest upon reset?

hello, i turned in this quest and bolvar had another quest for me, but first i went to deposit the anima in my bag and when i went back he didnt have the quest anymore, is anyone else experiencing this? i tried to relog and it didnt work

This quest is such a pain in the butt to complete by the time it resets. With how large the zone is, it's almost impossible to get to a rare before it's nuked down.

For a quest that gives 500 rep and resets all progress every 3 days it sure doesnt give much progress for each activity. I think im going to sit this one out untill they make it like the korthia one or buff the rep gains.

Best just to focus on rares with realm hopping if you really wanna speed it up. They give 8-10% iirc. Treasures,. WQ's and dailies helps, but I found rare hunting if you can get lucky to be best.

The timer is being changed to a weekly timer instead of 3 days per blue post:

"Thank you for all the feedback on the “Patterns Within Patterns” quest. We also agree that the 3-day timer doesn’t offer enough flexibility to complete its requirements multiple times a week.

With next week’s scheduled weekly maintenance in each region, the 3-day quest “Patterns Within Patterns” will become a Weekly Quest, and both its completion requirements and rewards will be increased to provide the same pace of progression.

We feel that a full week duration, along with commensurate amounts of Cosmic Flux and other rewards, better suits this quest. We hope this change alleviates the concern some players had over completing it multiple times a week."

Glad to see this is going to a weekly, these current designers are terrible. The descriptions on here are BS too. They say it's a 3 day quest on a timer, so I assumed from that it would expire 3 days from when I picked it up, that's not true at all. I found myself starting it on one day, getting it to about 60% then quitting for the day and then logging on the next day and the quest was completely gone. That 3 day timer is going all the time and you have to be careful when you pick up the quest, you could literally pick it up 1 minute before it's going to time out.

It's sad that something like this gets all the way to the release, then it only takes them a week to figure out it blows? Someone is definitely not listening to their testers...

It appears that there's a bug somewhere in this quest, as I literally just went from "Ready for Turn-in" back to 58% completed for no discernable reason.

The three-day quest Patterns Within Patterns has been replaced by a new weekly quest, also called Patterns Within Patterns.

While more time is allowed for completing the new quest, the credit for each activity is now significantly lower.

An example of this is that rares now provide only 5% towards quest completion, whereas previously each rare provided 10% towards the completion.

if this quest is obsolete then you need to get rid of it. make it so we cant even take the quest. cause it's still on my map
