Questline:

To complete this quest you need to disarm the traps within the Third Chamber of Kalliope.
Enter the building just behind the quest giver and go deeper avoiding blue beams.
There you'll see a sphere to turn off traps. Two more spheres can be found in another rooms.

In the room you walk in after the first sphere click to Chamber Incense Burner and defeat all the mobs spawned.

This quest doesnt work for me 25.11.2020.

You can click the incense burner, but it does not trigger the mobs, IE you can not finish the quest.

Tried with addons, no addons, reacquiring, re phasing.

Edit: I went back to Oribos, did some crafting. (did not remove the quest), then went BACK to bastion and it triggered this time. No idea why it does this, but it is a temporary fix if it bugs for you as well.

To save others wandering around like idiots, there's no "turn off the traps" button in the cat room. Just kill the cats, then after the next light beams is #2, then more light beams to #3.

Broken for me. The cats actually turn black, but never attack. I've dropped quest, logged in/out, disarmed traps in different orders, reloaded, took of addons, etc. No go.

I had same issues. Left for day and came back. DIdnt regarb up and it worked first time. Not sure if coincidental.

For other people having the issue of not being able to attack the big cat, alternate your WM status (on if it is off and off if it is on) and try again, seems like set phases are bugged

I was without WM and it wasn't working, (no mobs activated) so I went and and turned it on. A pack of mobs activated, I killed them. Nothing else happened, then I approached the rest of the mobs and only then they activated. Then I activated the big guy the same way.

So yea, if you are without WM and can't do this quest, turn WM on and then come closer to mobs

I fixed this issue by joining a random group and phasing into another realm.

Quest was bugged for me at first. Tried a group and didn't work. Went to Oribos and back and then it worked. WM was still turned off.

Traps also do not reset if you leave the area, and you get disguise back when you get around the area.

Quest still bugged 11/28/2020, got the first cat, but not the others. Logged out and back in, clicked the incense and it worked.

Right click your disguise so it's off, then click on the incense. The cats should then recognize you as an enemy and you can kill them.

As a workaround: there's no need to switch to War Mode or going back to Oribos or sacrificing a lamb or doing voodoo black magic. Simply open the group finder and try to join to groups Questing in Bastion (because probably they are in different shards or servers). While I was in the 3rd group, the small cats finally awake two by two and the First Guardian of Kalliope after them.

Ok, so there's a massive bug with this storyline.

I managed to complete You Go First by turning War Mode on like people was suggesting.

After turning in the quest, Artificer Ligiea disapeared before I could even accept the following one, The Spear of Kalliope. I have no longer the option to use the disguise either.

Now, I'm stuck with no quest to complete the storyline.

I pulled the first mob outside of the cave to the quest giver and waited 30 seconds before killing it. By the time I ran back in two mobs had activated

~~May be coincidence but this worked.~~ Worked twice in a row. Emphasis on waiting 30 seconds or so.

For anyone who is still stuck on this quest on 11/30/2020 I completed it by turning war mode on and going into the cave after clicking the incense the mobs attacked after a while. Please go to your capital city turn war mode on and go back to start the encounter.

This quest is still bugged at november 30, 2020.

I tried it with the disguise, without the disguise, warmode on and off, group up with someone else who was in the chamber, grouping up with a different phase, none worked :(

Tried this all sorts of ways over MULTIPLE days, logging off and on...only way it works is with War Mode ON!

This quest still doesn't work up on 30.11.2020. seems bugged at the moment. I disguise myself disarm 1 trap and use the lamp. However only 1 dog attack me and not 2 after that nothing happens. Warmode didn't help for me.

I've tried everything to get this quest to function and nothing works. Wait time on ticket is like 5 days. This is ridiculous, I can't get the Loremaster finished.

**12/1/20** Looks like the Hotfixes for 11/30/20 fixed the problem and was able to complete it.

Just like everyone, I'm stuck on this and looked through Blizzard's bug report support. This is a known bug and they currently have NO workaround it looks like. Womp womp.

I finally go this to work today. Yesterday only the little cats were attackable and this morning the incense burner was gone entirely. I joined a dungeon group while I was in the room and after finishing the incense burner was back. All the cats were light coloured and eventually attackable. I'm not sure why it worked but the phase change out of the dungeon group seems to have had an impact.

Today, 2020-12-02, the quest is still bugged, but only on several realms/shards!

This is the reason why turning war mode on/off, joining groups with people from other realms and things like this work for some people, while they do not work for other people. You just have to get to a realm/shard where the quest is NOT bugged (or wait until Blizzard fixes it).

So please be kind and do not downvote people providing solutions because they do not work for you in that moment! ;)

Week 1 - I disarmed the 3 traps and went back to click the incense burner but no mobs ever attacked so I abandoned the quest. I went back the next day and disarmed the 3 traps and clicked the incense burner and this time mobs attacked 2x2 but that was it, still couldn't complete the quest.

Week 2 - After weekly reset (hoping the bug was fixed) I went back and tried to complete the quest but it got worse. Now the incense burner you need to click isn't even in the room.

I tried everything listed here in the comments and nothing worked. What ended up working for me was joining a random BG and when it was over the incense was where it should be and I was able to complete the quest.

Still doesn't work for me in WM off Frostwolf 12/4/2020. Tried to join groups and such but that didn't make the lamp appear on the table after the first boss, and guardian and cats not attackable. Going to try WM.

Edit to add: WM on worked to make the incense lamp visible.

If the bell does not spawn in the room with the first guardian, walk out to the entrance of the chamber and logout. Wait about 5 min, and log back in. This fixed it for me

For me the fix was to go down all the way, then walk back up and the 1st guardian was there.
Killed it and went back down again, and no further issues.

Server hopping helps, get invited by a player from a different realm.

Turning warmode on or off also sometimes seems to help. Issue is known and they are working on it according to GM.

I had the Bell Missing. It seemed similiar to the Fae Treasure Chest missing issue that a comment suggested doing a scan and repair.
That seemed to fix it as I could see the bell which I activated and after that the tigers started attacking (Note: there is a short pause between each wave that might feel like the quest has bugged out again).

Still doesn't work. I have tried joining dungeon groups. Logging off for 5+ minutes. Fix and Repair wow files. the urn does not show up in the first room.

Ok, tried this today on 11/12/2020, last quest for loremaster.
As many experienced, the quest is bugged: in my case I had no incenser to click, so I couldn't awake the guards.

After several tries my working combo was to turn warmode ON (which didn't fix it right away) and then check for a group in another realm.
As soon as I joined a group on Draenor-EU the lamp appeared. Clickity click, left mobs slowly awoke, then the right ones, then the big guy.

As stated by others some servers do not experience this problem, so make sure to check which server you are joining, would be useless to join 20 groups on the same non-working server.

Oh, and Blizz: fix this, for the sake of all those above, below and in the future. Maw phasing is already a nightmare (yeah, I know you did it on purpose to get us a real feel of hell), we can go without guessing games on how to finish quests. Thank you.

Guys, i had same problem. I contacted support. It was automatically reply because of the same bug for most of us.
Here are the steps i have done so my bug fixed:
1) Abandon the quest
2) Exit the Wow
3) Reset UI: https://battle.net/support/article/7549 , i deleted all my addons
4) Enter WoW
5) Take a quest and you will have lantern on table.

11, Dec. Seems to be broken again. I have tried everything mentioned in this thread, WM on/off, deleting addons, switching realms, dropping quest, picking it back up, going in with disguise/without disguise, turned off all traps first, didn't turn off any traps, left zone, came back, UI Hard reload, deleted cache, interface and wtf folders. Submitted a ticket and got an auto response saying "this issue has been fixed" ....still no way to trigger the mobs.

Joining another party I found in group finder allowed this quest to work.

I just found a group of people doing the elite world quest in the zone today and it worked beautifully.

As of 15th Dec I've finished the questline as LV60 Hunter without problems. I've solo'd the questline, no groups necessary.

I also had only four small cats. I continued to the last chamber (where I became aware that something is missing), returned to the cat chamber and the big one was waiting there for me now.

Not sure if this was luck or if they fixed something, but maybe it’s worth a try for others with the same issue.

Quest Name:	Start and description
1 How to Become Forsworn	Storyline start from Haetio 36 37 Bastion under cliff. You need to loot 3 Forsworn Uniform Piece from Forsworn Vandal or Forsworn Looter and 1 Quartermaster's Insignia drop from Quartermaster Taelica 41 41. Do this quest together with Unshackled Knowledge.
2 Unshackled Knowledge	"You need to freed 3 NPC: - Curator Lano 39 40 - Historian Tyrana 38 38 - Librarian Eratus 40 40"
3 Just Act Natural	Find Artificer Ligiea farther into Kalliope's Rest. Use Forsworn Disguise spell on extra bar to get to base.
4 Mark of Humility	That quest confuse me xD ok just get to cave 41 37 stand close to barier then You will get spell on extra bar Kneel press on it then you can get inside ( When first time i come close to barier spell did not show up ). Pick up from chest inside cave Mark of Humility. You can do this quest in same time with Mark of Knowledge.
5 Mark of Knowledge	First speak with Forsworn Interrogator 41 37 then Forsworn Researcher 42 36 After that press on Brazier 41 38 and use it on Chamber Brazier 42 36 you need to do it twice is 2 Chamber Brazier. Barier from cave will be removed then go inside and pick up from chest Mark of Knowledge.
6 You Go First	Get inside cave 43 38 first avoid the lasers then press on Trap Switch ( in total will be 3 of them ) in first chamber press on First Guardian of Kalliope and slay all mobs. Go next corridor avoid the lasers then press on Trap Switch and next corridor avoid the lasers then press on Trap Switch. in next chamber quest finish.
7 The Spear of Kalliope	Listen to the conversation then Slay Artificer Ligiea then pick up Spear of Kalliope after all go out side cave to finish quest.
8 Rightful Resting Place	Enshrine the Spear of Kalliope in its rightful place at Elysian Hold. After this quest Storyline is finish

It is working now 5/9/2021, there is about a 30 second delay between the two sets of small tigers attacking and the big one.

If the quest giver phases out and you can't accept the next quest, you can find her again in the bottom room in the third cave (Third Chamber of Kalliope) which does NOT have a barrier over the entrance.

The third cave entrance is located at /way 43.50, 38.60
