You can absorb azerite from ANY Infused Crag, as long as it's dead. You don't need to be in a party etc.

Hi all

You need to get azerite to 100%. How ? Kill mobs and on them body use Heart of Azeroth to absorbing Azerite. Bigger mobs more azerite.

This quest seems simple enough: Kill Azerite-Infused Elementals, Minor Azerite Infused Elementals, Infused Crags, and Infused Bedrocks and absorb their Azerite. The problem? If you gather more than 4 of these mobs together, you will only gain Azerite for the first 4 that die. The Heart of Azeroth UI button specifically reads "Use the Heart of Azeroth to absorb Azerite from up to 4 defeated elementals." So keep your trash pulls below 4 at a time and you should be able to calculate how many you need to kill. I can't tell you how frustrating it was to have 7 elementals, 3 minor elementals, and a crag and only receive 14% toward the quest and not know why until I actually read the Heart of Azeroth spell button. It turns out if you pull more than 4 at a time you can spam the Heart of Azeroth button until you extract all the Azerite. So kill as many as you want and don't leave the area until clicking the Heart of Azeroth does nothing.

Shadowlands and beyond:-

You'll need your Heart of Azeroth i~~n your neck slot~~ to absorb the azerite from the mobs, or the extra action button doesn't appear. Had to go back to my bank and get mine.

Edit:- Just to note as @KingNothing73 points out - you just need it in your bag, you don't have to equip it. Thanks KingNothing73!

Shadowlands, have the Heart of Azeroth in your bag.
If the action button does not show on screen. Moved out of the quest area and come back and it will sync.

You need your Heart of Azeroth in your bags for the extra action button to appear.
If you have it in your bank, and use remote access like Walter or similar, you need to go out of the area and back in to get the button to appear.
