During Sky Ablaze With Cannonfire quest you have to defeat enormous gun. It has 80% damage reduction and the same chance to avoid damage.
There are few elites (such as Roobi Skizzelvolt) that drop items to disable those buffs. There are also war-captains which drop Military Explosives. Use that to destroy the cannon faster.

This quest is a part of The Deaths of Chromie quest chain, full chain is under the spoiler:

The quest chain:

The Day That Chromie Dies - just see that she dies.
Rewind - the same one, but you'll have to speak with dragons before Chromie dies.
The Many Advantages of Being a Time Dragon - you'll have 15 minutes to get some info about attackers. Chromie dies when the time ends.
Preserve the True Future - there are four shrines across Dragonblight, you have 15 minutes to stop the attacks.
During the quest you get info that there are also four other attacks you have to stop
The Deaths of Chromie - now you have to stop all eight attacks in one attempt.

If you cant realise what to do in dragonshrines, there are small guides:

Azure dragonblight - slay elementals and loot Darkened Scrap of Vellum. When got 50, combine them to Voidcallers' Scroll.
You'll get Voidcallers' Scroll quest, fly to floating disc, turn it in and defeat Void Gargantuan. Loot Smoldering Chronoshard to open portal to Hyjal.
Ruby dragonblight - slay three elites in the shrine, loot three Soul Crystal Fragment and combine to Soul Crystal.
You'll get Soul Crystal quest, fly to the cave in a tree, turn it in and defeat Talar Icechill. Loot Frozen Chronoshard to open portal to The Culling of Stratholme.
Emerald dragonblight - slay mobs to collect 10 Twisted Fiber and 8 Emeraldine Plume and combine to Nightmare-Catcher. Use it and slay two mobs that channeling to a tree protector. There are three protectors in the shrine, so you have to to that three times. After that you'll get The Ancients' Wisdom. Turn it in near the water next to a bone hand, slay Thalas Vylethorn and loot Gleaming Chronoshard to open the portal to Andoral.
Obsidian dragonblight - get through the cave and defeat Charredbone Goliath. Loot Demonic Corestone and get out of the cave. Turin in Demonic Corestone when leaved and slay Zorathides.
Loot Fel-Touched Chronoshard to be able to open the portal to Well of Eternity.

How to complete this:

Horde:

1) Kill the gnome who drops a device.
2) Use device to remove cannon shield.
3) Kill the human caster who drops a green potion.
4) Use the potion on the cannon to weaken it.
5) kill the humans on horseback to obtain explosive devices.
6) Use as many explosive devices as needed to kill the cannon.
7) You're done.

Alliance:

Same steps as mentioned above but you will be looking for Horde type characters which will drop the same type of items.

Way to go Blizzard. I've hit the cannon once with an Explosive and killing my next Elite when BAM I'm back at Wyrmrest?

To take down the cannon's buffs, you need the following potions: Lightning Absorption Capsule & Experimental Alchemy Reagent

I killed Roobi Skizzelvolt for Lightning Absorption Capsule

Now the portal is unlocked, if you've been stuck on One That Didn't Get Away, for Accomplished Angler, Fishing in the river in the Chromie scenario The Deaths of Chromie at Andorhal offers a (comparatively) quick way to complete it.

I obtained the 32 Pound Catfish after a total of 418 No Casts.
This took 8 No 15 minute scenarios.
With a base fishing level of 800, Underlight Angler (which maxes out during the scenario), with Worm Supreme lure, and a Weather-Beaten Fishing Hat (every bit helps!) gave me a total fishing skill of 1065.

Note that none of the catfish stack, and with an average of 30 catfish alone per 15 minute scenario, you'll need some bag space so you're not wasting time (and lures). By vendoring the catfish and potions, I found that 50 spare slots were sufficient for around three or four runs.

I seem to have found myself in the middle of a battle between the Horde and the Alliance, which wouldn't USUALLY be a big deal, except for that enormous cannon that seems to be trained on me anytime I try to fly away.

Think you could take it out for me?
