I was worried I had missed to loot the Greater Demonic Runestone when I ran through the instance, but fear not! The stone drops from Ravencrest.

Do not do it on m+, you will not be able to loot the boss.

You have to join group to Black Rook Hold instance to do this quest. Greater Demonic Runestone — it's a drop from the last boss of instance — Latosius.
As you have to make full run, do not forget to loot the rune otherwise you have to run instance once more.

if you've just done this and you aren't having another quest pop, you likely have to finish Will of the Valarjar, the "do 10 World Quests" quest

I wonder if it is bugged... can not loot on normal or mythic... guess I can run out and re-try on heroic?

Not bugged... If you are coming back to Legion and are over level strip your gear and don't use any of your abilities... they are one punch chumps but it won't break the mechanics of the fight

Defeat Lord Kur'talos Ravencrest and retrieve a Greater Demonic Runestone from Dantalionax in the Black Rook Hold Dungeon.

Description

The raw power of the runestones will allow Hymdall to temporarily open a tear into demonic worlds, but it's not enough.

The Legion hides its presence in far away worlds with dark magic. Bring a greater runestone so that Hymdall can hone in on our enemies across the cosmos.
