Like many of Legion's PvP world quests, this one does not require PvP to complete.

Party members remain friendly to each other.
This area is open PvP, which means anyone outside your party is hostile, regardless of faction.
PvP kills grant 15% progress.
PvE kills grant 5% progress.

This is one of the more interesting PvP areas (speaking as someone who hates PvP). There are many animals scattered around, and you fight them until they "submit" (they turn green and emote submission). At that point you get a vehicle boarding arrow on them, which you can use or ignore.

Each animal gives you distinct abilities on an extra action button - for instance, the warbear allows you to stand firm against being pulled or knocked back. With the worg, you can leap a long distance onto a target. To my surprise, I found today that there is also a rare named Stormtalon upon which you can fly in the area and attack from the air.

The animals are not at all difficult to fight. In my experience most people opt to cooperate, only hitting each other passively or with AoE.

Druids can maintain their shapeshift while on the animal vehicles; the vehicle just doesn't show, although it would be more fun if it did.

Just to let you know, you do *NOT* get credit for getting on a goat, then knocking people off the mountain.
Tested several times. No joy. :(

You get credit for bringing the animal into "submission" which is under 35% HP.

However, as a MM hunter, I've noticed that if you burst them down straight to 0 HP, you wont get credit which is highly annoying as a Windburst/Aimed Shot combo will kill one straight out.

Requires that you complete each of these quests 20x. ~~It also seems that these quests are only available once a day; one quest a day, like an RNG~~. ~~I will update once I know more.~~
I was able to complete Operation Murloc Freedom and Darkbrul Arena in the same day.

You no longer need to worry about killing the mobs too quickly and not getting credit for the kills, with 7.2 it's been fixed.

This is how WoW should be. I had a dream the other day that I could be mounted and ride around shooting things on my hunter. Wish granted. You can even subdue the dragons and fly them around firebombing people. All of Azeroth should be this way.

Despite everyone being hostile minimal pvp actually occurs here. The animals are extremely easy and fast to kill so much so that most players just run around herding up and killing the animals instead of making the process longer by provoking each other.

This quest usually takes less time than the tower quests.

Coming from someone who sucks and doesn't like pvp much, this is a very good thing :)

Take the bear if you want to be able to just stand your ground and not get knocked around, wolf if you want to stay on someone with a lot of escape methods, stag to leap away from people, drake to avoid everyone, and goat to troll the hell out of everyone.

In this brawl I also discovered an exploit for mages. As a fire mage I discovered that while mounting the creatures that submit to you, you can cast pyroblast and flamestrike while moving around

As a mage, the Stormtalon Drake is fantastic. I can cast while flying on it and have collected quite a few HKs this way. People get sooo mad 😂

This quest is part of Free For All, More For Me, which rewards a mount (Reins of the Prestigious War Steed for alliance and Reins of the Prestigious War Wolf for horde) after you have done 20 of each. The other PvP World Quests are Operation Murloc Freedom, Black Rook Rumble and Darkbrul Arena.

Killing animals gives 5% progress, and they only need to reach 35% health. At that point they submits to you.
