This quest is horrid. Sounds fun at first, but every time you fail, you start over. The problem is it would be perfectly doable if it weren't for all the glitches. Mobs way too far away reacted, even if others were closer. Others simply didn't die.

This quest is really tough and frustrating.
Here are several hints which should help:
1) The most important. When you use Garona's ability to kill Orcs make sure that no one actually sees it. This means that no mobs should face the one you are going to kill. These orcs actually have eyes.
2) After you kill a mob all nearby mobs will start staring at the dead body. Give them some time to forget about it. They will go back to what they were doing in several seconds.
3) In case you accidentally aggro-ed several mobs try to interrupt their casts which summon reinforcements. Than, you can kill them using your spell/abilities. If no one sees it, you will be able to continue quest.
4) The last "spy on Gul'dan" part can by complete even if you have been detected. Just rush to the place where you are supposed to hide before they finish their cast.

I found an easy way to do this quest.

1. Assassinate the first two guards at the gate
2. Go to where the pile of logs are under the scaffolding.
3.Log out while on your ground mount.
4.Log back in and book it to the underground area and grab the intel off the middle table, Do it quick or you'll get summoned back.
5. Repeat these steps for the guldan part(much easier)

Here's an easy way to do this quest, if you have the Artillery Strike garrison ability in Talador. Some classes may be able to do without it (My main is a monk, before I thought of artillery strike I was getting close with charging ox and storm-earth-fire into fists of fury to stun them all).

Don't go through the front gate. Rather, go past Khadgar up the road to the left, then along the outer wall. You'll see a pack of six orcs with some barricades (two workers behind four blademaster types). As artillery strike stuns, interrupting the alarm, they are easily dispatched with 2-3 charges of the garrison ability.

With the main pack gone, you can steadily dispatch the remaining outside guards on the hill one by one, and jump up to the wall. Right in front of you is the building for the first item. Below you, there's one worker among the crates, and a few singular patrols outside the building you need to be a little careful with, but the crowd in the pit should be well out of detection range. Clear them out one by one, pop inside the building, and then proceed up the hill to conclude the mission. All the patrols along the way will eventually give you easy solitary kills with Garona, or you can speed things along if you have a charge of Artillery left.

I found out that the best way to do this, is pretty much be patient, and kill all the patrols. The one trick for me was hide on top of the rock on the right side, after the first time you turn right. I was able to plan better, and decide who to kill to get to the goal. When I started killing everything, it did take maybe 4-5 minutes, but I got there without being seen. I hope this helps! :D

Although you are phased from other group members on the quest, you do share group credit, so doing it as a "team" will yield better results.

I was grouped with a hunter and he was able to use his CCs well and although I was close to doing each part on my own, he was faster than I was and I got credit for his success each time.

If you use Aviana's Feather while in the compound, Khadgar will port you back down and berate you for it:

Archmage Khadgar yells: Are you crazy, launching yourself into the air like that! Why not just send Gul'dan a telegram? Better yet, march into the compound at the head of a Brewfest oompah band. This is a stealth mission, <name>! Stealth!

100% worth doing at least once just to see this.

This quest is currently bugged. The assassinate ability that you have Garona use on the mobs will fail to kill certain ones, and when that happens, every mob in a 50 yard radius will react and sound the alarm.

Its not an issue of her being spotted, you can kill plenty of other mobs that are in closer proximity to each other with no issue. Also, the mob you attack that doesn't die or take damage doesn't even react, its only mobs in the area that were not close enough or looking in the right direction.

The Skirmisher specifically is one that just won't die.

Make sure you don't have any old quests to the same area, like garrison campaign or talador quests active.
That will make it both harder and bug the follower ability.

Currently you can abuse the group finder's cross realm feature to easily finish the quest in less than 2 minutes without having to deal with the currently buggy mechanics:

1. Start the quest and stay out of range of the first guards, no need to kill any of them. But be sure that you're in the quest area with the assignment of getting the "Iron Horde intel". (You might need to enter the area once to finish "infiltrate the compound", so you get the next assignment)
2. Find a group in the group finder from a different realm and join it. (Auto-invite groups will do just fine.)
3. All the mobs in the area will despawn and you can simply walk straight to the building for the intel, just go down the stairs.
4. Leave the group and a single mob will appear. Interrupt and kill it and take the Iron Horde intel from the table.
5. Repeat step 2.
6. Walk the way up and stay near the first cannon/crates near the edge of the wall.
7. Leave the group and a big crate pile will spawn in front of you (when facing away from the wall). Click it and the cinematic will start after a ~1 second cast.
8. Enjoy the cinematic and the fact that you just saved yourself hours of frustration.
9. You might need to relog to make Khadgar appear and finish the quest.

All that methods didn't worked for me. I found another way. If you have Shredder ability in Gorgrond you can start running from Bastion rise.
Next use fly ability north of horde base and fly over the top of mountain. Then jump down and grab plans. My character is a rogue so I was able to sneak for 2nd objective. But I think it won't be very hard for other classes to repeat same trick or just kill mobs fast enough.

Easily the worst quest I've ever done in WoW. Tedious, boring, and buggy. Sit there for ten minutes, click a button on an NPC. What a wonderful legendary quest.

I sincerely hope whoever designed this was fired.

How to cheat this after the 3/24 update!

1) Join Group Finder while mounted up.

2) Log out.

3) Log back in. All the mobs will have disappeared.

4) Run to the location of the item on your minimap.

5) Leave group. Everything will respawn now, including the paperwork in the building and one mob. Interrupt/kill the guy, take the papers and run like hell for the top of the hill. If you're quick, you can get there before being teleported back. If you are teleported, just do the same trick by joining another group > log out> log in > run to the top of the hill > drop group.

I found this accidentally by trying the methods mentioned before. Grats, you just skipped one of the most annoying quests ever made!

Absolutely horrible quest, after an hour of Garona not killing things, mobs I couldn't even see sounding alarms, and eventually RESPAWNS BEHIND ME...I caved and did the cross realm glitch.

When you've had enough, just join a cross realm group, log out, log in, run to whichever spot you need (plans or hill) and drop group to phase back in.

Also, on the hill you have to click the boxes near the path coming up. Took me a try to figure out I had to click on them.

This quest requires patience. If you are ranged with burst damage it's fairly easy. To assassinate an orc you need to ensure there are none nearby and none are looking in the victim's direction. Observe patrol patterns first while waiting on the bridge.

You can also kill mobs yourself. Once you damage them they will begin to sound the alarm. You will have a few seconds to kill them. I used novax2 on them. In groups of two I used arcane power. Drink a pot, eat some food and burst questionable targets down.

The plans are in the structure ahead and to the left, just behind the large pit of mobs. You can skip those. Guldan is past the second gate on the right.

There is a deadeye on the left of the first gate. He's not visible until you get closer.

I think I may have screwed up badly, I abandoned the quest trying to reset it and now can't find where to pick it up again. Khadgar doesn't have it.

As Big K says, this is a stealth mission, so... stealth classes rejoice!

At least as of today, you can ditch Garona by using the feather or just running out of the area until she despawns, then use your own stealth ability to sneak through the base without worrying about the buggy assassinate or directional detection (normal stealth rules apply, you can't run right into them).

Today, I was working on this quest. I have just picked it up and it says 0/1 Infiltrate the Compound. I go inside and follow videos I saw online that show them going down and getting the intel room off the table. Well I go there and nothing happens when I kill the one mob down there. My quest tracker still says Infiltrate the Compound. I am not sure if they changed the quest or something. If you know, please let me know! Thanks

Not hard if you have good dps.

1. You just need to have 1 fast killing apart from Garona killing skill. In other word, you must kill 2 of them instantly or as fast as you can, 1 from your own skill, 1 from Garona skill. As a hunter, I change from BM to MM so I can instant kill with Aimed shot+Chimaera shot and kill shot if the mob don't died (never found with my gear level). It's easy mob with 90k health.

2. You can also bind Garona skill to your hot key using macro "/click ExtraActionButton1".

3. Interrupt the warning skill on 3rd mob if needed.

Carefully do it and it not a hard quest, especially if you ever play vanilla Wow and do dam elite town quest. That's 10x harder than this, lol.

A small trick for the last part (spy on Gul'dan) - if you go up to the specified area you'll see a stack of crates that can be clicked. Just run there and click it, don't worry about guards seeing you. Once you click, the cutcene starts and afterwards you'll be back with Khadgar, able to turn in the quest.

General tips:

The orcs will trigger their alarm if they see an orc die in their field of view, which is 180°.
Any stun, silence or interrupt effect will stop the cast, they will not re-cast it. Their sight-range is approximately 20 yards if you are moving past them.
The orcs will turn to stare at the corpse if you ask Garona to kill an orc. Any movement or killing nearby while they are staring at the corpse will trigger the alarm.

How I did it without using the group finder phasing bug:

Go down the path to the left of Khadgar (not over the bridge). You will encounter 5 orcs close together. Take them out. Artillery strike is really helpful here if you don't have an AoE interrupt or stun.
You will see four orcs on the ridge next to the wall. Kill them. So long as the patrol is away from them they are outside of each other's field of view. You can now jump on to the wall and jump down onto the grey ledge. From here you can kill pretty much all of the orcs that are blocking the way into the house. You will not be able to kill the orc on the right-hand side of the door due to LoS. You do not need to kill the orcs in the pit opposite the house. They can all see each other and will fail you the mission when the alarm sounding chains to the entire camp.
Jump down from the ledge to kill the orc by the door. Kill the patrol and the orcs by the gate while you're here. You'll have to kill them anyway, and if nobody is looking, take the opportunity to do it now.
Go into the house and tell Garona to take out the orc in the middle of the room. There are no other guards in here, so take the plans.
Next you will have to go out of the house and up the ramp to your left. There is a patrol that walks from the bottom of the ramp to the bridge. Mark him with a symbol and just dodge his pathing. He is too close to orcs with Line of Sight to risk a kill.
While the patrol is away, kill the rest of the orcs at the bottom of the ramp. Kill the orc in the hut about ten yards up the ramp, and wait here for the patrols to separate. Kill them individually.
At the top of the ramp, there is the stack of boxes on the right of the path. There is a group of 4 orcs behind it. If you want to do it cleanly, you can kill these. There is a patrolling orc on the left of the area, you can kill this one too. Click the box to trigger the cut-scene.

Don't forget to talk to Garona after the cutscene to get her as a follower.

Hi all, I did this quest yesterday with my holy paladin. Before starting I read all the comments here and was afraid that I couldn't do it the 'normal' way. After a few tries I decided to use repentance and it was a piece of cake after it.
There are 2 keypoints.
1. Make sure the orcs dont see the kill, they have to stand with their back to you.
2. Use repentance to stun orcs on difficult points.
I walked in through the main entrance, stunned the one on right-side, waited untill the one on road was with back to me and killed the one on left side. Continue like this all the time. Stun one, wait till another is turned and let Garona kill Orc nr.3.
Other classes should be able to do it like this too. Mages with sheep, shamans with frog, hunters with trap and sleep.
I hope this post helps a little, good luck with this quest.

Just finished this quest on my hunter. Invisibility works and the quest is shareable. Start off by killing the first 3 guards, then stand at the doorway, get the quest then invis/trap your way to the room to click the item. Keep silence shot on ready, you'll need it. No pet btw. Once you get the item, invis yer way to the crate and click.

Pretty sure I did nearly every quest in this expansion, but this one takes the cake. It's without any doubt my WORST single quest experience I've ever had in Warlords of Draenor, maybe even WoW in general.

The mechanics are so unpredictable...sometimes people see you, sometimes they don't. Also, there are too many mobs here. And if you're not fast enough it takes you ALL THE WAY BACK - and just to slap you in the face it respawns every single guard you've taken out.
I beg you, Blizzard: Don't force these mechanics on us again.

The worst thing about this quest for me is having to back to the very beginning every time you fail, even if you've stolen the Intel. Once stolen, I had to go and spy on Gul'dan. I was making my way there and parked my behind somewhere I thought was safe while some mobs passed but it wasn't safe, got ported out - had to do it aaaall over again which sucked!

Like others said - make sure none of the mobs are looking in the direction of your intended kill and try not to get too close or kill too close to any other mob, even if they aren't looking in that direction.

Pain in the bum (did this on my DK).

Legit Guide (4/9/2015)

As this is a legendary quest and I've never been a fan of exploits, I figured it was my duty to complete it the way it was intended. It took me over an hour to finally get the rhythm of the guards / wandering NPCs but I did eventually get it done. Here are a few tips that will help you get through this without using an exploit.

Tips:
- Pull your camera back to max distance to see hidden NPCs
- Turn on NPC health bars to see hidden NPCs (ctrl+v)
- Be wary of NPCs around the corner by using "TAB" targeting
- Wait for the NPCs to shrug and look away before assassinating another one
- Take note of the direction distant NPCs are facing (their vision is farther than it is wide)
- Banner bearing guards are more alert when moving than they are when standing still
- You don't have to kill all of the NPCs, just the ones that will detect you on the road
- If you're in a pinch and only one NPC spots you; interrupt their cast to stop the alarm and kill them as quickly as possible
- There is a display bug that sometimes doesn't show the NPC being assassinated "dying" but wait a second and they will vanish
- Be patient and remember that the victory is much sweeter when you actually earn it

*Note* This quest was extensively tested and is intended to be difficult, not everything can be done in a few moments while playing on autopilot

This was frustrating at the start. If mobs are looking at your target, wait until they are not looking at it then use Garona. If one of the mobs sounds an alarm I used paralysis. Slow and steady won the race. I didn't have issues with respawns.

it seems like as of now (10-04-2015) the cross realm group trick has been fixed. I tried with many groups but mobs stayed. But fear not, I "accidentally" discovered another simple and easy way of doing this. I did it on my hunter with Charred Glyph and it was pretty much walk in the park.

Classes with stealth has easier way, hunters with Charred Glyph needs to be aware of stay clear when is about to expire and recast. ~~Others can use invisibility potions but they will have to wait for long CD to get to the 2nd part of the quest.~~

1- After accepting the quest, walk away ... over the broken bridge towards the Fort Wrynn, untill Garona is no more with you and your stealth from the buff is broken.

2- Don't talk to Kahdgar to grab Garona again, she's the cause of you not be able to use your own stealth abilities while she's with you.

3a- If you can stealth, use it from the start and straight to the room downstairs, CC the one mob there and loot the intel. Can use aggro dropping abilities to drop the aggro after that or kill him.

~~3b- If you can not stealth, better to kill first 3 guards so you have extra second or two for invisibility potion. Use the potion and go to the room for intel.~~

4- Stealth back ~~or wait for potion CD~~ and then go to Gul'dan, loot the quest item and you are done!

**Important part is to "get rid of Garona" and don't grab her back, otherwise you will not be able to stealth through because guards will see her**

Guide to handling this quest as a disc priest or otherwise DPS limited class (*cough* healer *cough*).

Have your CC/Silence ready for emergencies.
As others have said, perform your kills when other nearby orcs are facing AWAY from you, or are otherwise occupied. (They look like they're crafting).
Have patience. My successful run took ~20m, and overall it took me a little under an hour to get the hang of it.
Turn your nameplates on. Zoom out, pan your camera top-down.

Eliminate the patting guard on the bridge, then his companion who stands still.
Then, kill off the guy directly inside the walls your left. Then the one on the right.
There are two pathing guards on the path and one standing still on your left, in front of a hut. You need to eliminate hut man first. Behind him, near the hill, there is one stand-still orc, one that paths to the back, and one that can come from above him, down the hill to speak to the lone orc. When you kill the hut orc, be sure that the orc behind him is alone and busy, and the pathing orcs are pathing away from him.
Eliminate both walking orcs.
Eliminate the 3 orcs I mentioned above, ideally the standing still one, then the other two.
Proceed carefully up the hill, staying against the wall to your right.
For safety sake, I eliminated the big blade guy and his companions (close to the iron rail, on your left, up the cliff from where you were).
Eliminate the next walking guard when he is closest to where you are.
Get the two burning blade guys, but be ware of the pathing guard from the draenic door on your left, directly behind the pit.
To get the plans, you need to eliminate both door guards and the engineer beyond the door to be safe.
Kill the guy in the hut (he is alone). Grab plans.
**At this point, you should have eliminated all of the guards going up the hill, and on the road going around the pit to where you are. (You can ignore all the orcs in the pit, but any who are not IN the pit itself should be dead.) You can safely hug the wall exiting the house and head towards the boxes to see Gul'dan.**
There are 3 mobs as you progress up the next hill. Let the two walking ones move by you and ideally go back up the next hill, then eliminate the engineer.
Grab the closer guard as he comes down near you...the far guard seems to look away right before he turns around. This is the best time to eliminate the close one.
Eliminate the far one.
Almost done at this point. There is a sharpshooter who pats between the boxes (your goal) and you. Let him get away from the boxes (closer to you), then murder him.
There is an engineer behind the boxes. I didn't eliminate him, but rather hit the boxes and prayed. I managed to "hide" before he could sound the alarm, but you may be able to kill him if need be.

Done! I'm sure this mass murder isn't entirely necessary, but my priest simply can't run in and murder any angry guard before it shouts. I had to use silence once, then have Garona slaughter the offender.

TL;DR Go right of Khadgar. Kill all guards in lower area, in area south of pit, around road and on side of house with plans. Grab plans. Kill the 3 patting guards going up into next zone. Move up slightly. Kill the final patting guard on right side near boxes. Click boxes. Profit.

This is a legendary quest chain, it SHOULD be difficult. This quest was very frustrating, but can be done with out the use of gimmicks. All it takes is a little time and patience. If I can offer a little advice, it would be as follows:

1. Understand that these mobs actually do pay attention (sort of) so you cannot attack a mob that is being looked at by another.
2. Take your time and plan your route. The mobs do respawn but should not be an issue as long as you have a clear route in mind.
3. Garona is not directly behind you. This is important because you will need to give mobs a wider berth to account for this.
4. This one is my opinion only. The worst part of this is just inside the gate. Once you clear those mobs out it gets a lot faster and smoother.

Please take your time and do the quest as intended. As of right now, it's not like you can move the next chapter forward anyway. It took me about an hour of trying different stuff to get it done but was well worth the time spent. Good luck!

Just wanted to add my two cents.... First off Garona is a MASTER assassin. The fact that she gets spotted at all is a disgrace to her profession and really puts this legendary character who is a major part of the lore to shame. Secondly, yes the quest is hard to the point of breaking your computer in frustration. Finally, use a gimmick while you can. Trying to complete this the way it was intended will most likely cost you hundreds of dollars to replace the various objects you hurl at the wall.

by far the worst and buggiest quest in the game at the moment. it's near impossible b/c half of the NPC's in the area are bugged and their mechanics are not working like they should. hopefully blizzard fixes it soon.

I don't expect this to be an easy quest but it would be nice to have a longer respawn timer! If you take your time and don't rush in, the mobs started spawning around me as I tried to take out the ones around the bend. I tried a few times to rush it so they wouldn't and of course I blow it worrying about the ^%$) respawns.

This is a challenging, fun, exciting quest. It takes a little patience and perseverance to complete that unfortunately the average WoW player doesn't have these days. Plot the mobs you need to kill, wait until the ones close by have their backs turned and avoid the pit mobs altogether.

Hunters, druids and rogues may be able to do this quest easily, but plate wearing classes and other classes that can't stealth will resort to abusing the group finder...Seriously, do you know how hard it is to be sneaky as a warrior? Long story short, armor makes noises.
Blizzard, please do not torture us with this stealth crud again.

Contrary of what can be read in most comments, I really liked this quest. It comes as a challenge, bugs included, that gives that victory taste when completed.
I can understand the frustration of some of the players, but at least this quest gives some of us a new perspective that is not based in pure kill and go and that wont be the tipical "kill this mob".

I just wanted to add that this quest is easily doable without using exploits (why risk getting your account suspended?) or touching the mobs yourself. Just be very careful that you are timing Garona's attacks properly and be patient. Don't even bother with the mobs in the pit as you can easily bypass them. Just circle them counter-clockwise to get to the first objective inside the building behind the pit, watching for the pats that respawn behind you. Then continue up the rise to the northeast. You only have to take out a few mobs to get to the stack of boxes you hide behind. Enjoy the cinematic and your legendary follower!

I don't know if it was just tonight being horrible, or simply the nature of the quest, but even assuming that the entire thing doesn't bug this may very well be one of the most frustrating quest in the game. It might be better if like Green Fire or any of the other quest that are supposed to be challenging you felt like you were losing because of your own skill or lack there of, but when this quest goes wrong it's because your one button mechanic rogue has ruined it for you and sent you back to the beginning.

The aim of the quest is to stay Upwards of 30 Yards from any given enemy and to slowly but surely have Garrona kill them using the Assassinate ability. If any of the other Orcs spot Garrona killing their friend they will begin to cast sound the Alarm, which is a spell that takes just longer then the cooldown of Garona's ability to cast. Once the spell suceeds in casting you have approximately 10 seconds to get to your destination before Khadgar ports you back and makes you start from the very beginning

There are no check points on this what is easily over a 10 minute quest and a reset will respawn all guards meaning if you mess up even once at any point you are going to be starting from scratch.

This doesn't even take into account the almost painful amount of bugs currently implemented (as of 4/22/2015) where The ability that Garrona has fails to land or units will see you or Garrona killing a target from further then they should be allowed.

If you lack a long range interrupt, or method for quickly closing the gap between you and a target that can easily be 50 Yard+ in range then you can right well suffer. If you're like me going into it with a stealth class you may have thought that would help you, but none of your stealth abilities are of use, your movement spend matches Garrona's (which is slow by the way) and Stealth or No Stealth they can still see through you once you close a certain distance.

This quest feels tedious, it's boring, and if you fail it feels as if you are failing because of Garrona not because of your own skill. This little mini game will make you scratch your eyes out in frustration.

Another way to do this is jump up on a siege engine at the path of glory and get into the base where Gul'dan and kilrogg are standing. You need to kill 2 mobs there (easy) and then you can just hug the wall behind Kilrogg (He can't see you) walking along this path will take you to the roof of your first objective with only 2 kills. Do another 3 to clear the entrance and you are in.

Pro - You barely kill anyone as barely anyone gets in your way.
Con - Walking to the siege engine is slow, and it can be a hazzle getting onto it.

Since server reset the 22nd of April, some bugs has been fixed, including the cross-realm server.
Here is a super easy tutorial on how you do it.

1: First you get the quest, but do NOT go through the main gate.
2: Go to your left and follow the way along the wall. You will reach 6 Orcs which are easily take out with the garrison ability.
3: Then there will be 4 Orcs, which you can easily take out by yourself. Remember, the orcs must not face the direction of your target.
4: Then jump over the wall and down, you will have to kill some more which should be fairly easy and you can get in and take the thing you need after killing that one orc.
5: Now you just go out and get caught so khadgar will Teleport you back. You now have to get rid of Garona, which you could do by Hearthstone back to your Garrison and fly back.
6: Now, you use Aviana's feather BEFORE YOU GET IN THE QUESTING AREA., this way, Khadgar will not teleport you back and you can fly to Gul'dan, just run, sprint, anything towards these crates you can click and boom. Done.

Painful quest, yes... until you get the rhythm of it.

I went through the main gates killing my way easily.

The absolute DO NOT TOUCH mobs are the ones in the fight circle. All of them are faced towards one another and any attempt to kill any of them results in a fail.

The secret is to hug the wall of the building tightly to constantly keep 30y from you and anyone in the fight circle. Once you get near the barrels near the entrance to the objective's room, just patiently kill the skirmisher and the engineer he is talking to and enter the building. Kill the commander, loot the plans.

The rest is easy to get to the crates you need to hide in to see Gul'Dan... just patiently exit hugging the building and kill you way up the other path nice and slow.

The most easier quest I ever done! A bit boring though... I've done it solo today with my Disc priest. I only used Garona's ability to kill the mobs one by one, never close one to each other. I didn't use ANY of my damage or interrupting spells. All you need is just a little patience. Good luck!

I spent hours going to Guldan and wondering what was wrong. You first have to follow the path all the way down to the end and enter the little building at the end. There, you go down stairs, kill the Field Marshall, and obtain the item you need. Only then do you go to Guldan.

The best way I found? Just patience.

I hated this quest. It was overly tedious. You move forward, kill the orcs whenever the others aren't looking, and make your way around.

The best advice I can offer is to think about where you're going to want to go, and take out orcs that are behind/above you if you're going to double back (which you might, if you take the shorter path...the longer path around to the left seemed easier at times). Took me just under an hour to get it.

Just because I spent an hour going around the corner just find out that's not what you do... First, go to the building to your left at the top of the intersection in the road and get the item in there, after that you go into the area at the right of the intersection. At that point there will be a pile of boxes at the top of the hill to click on and you will get a cut scene then you have completed the quest.
I hope this helps you and saves you a little time.

The point is NPC's trigger when they SEE an attack. I never had a problem based on proximity of 1 kill and another NPC, so long as they faced away.

.As you move along the wall, there are 4 NPC's around to the right & you can kill them all quickly, as the others turn away - out of sight out of mind.

DO kill the far NPC, near the doorway to the NPC with the intel. Don't just kill the closest 2.

Kill them any chance you get (not just the closest). But remember, you ARE stealthed. You do NOT have to kill them all.

It's a 10 minute video on the link. But I finished in under 5 minutes.

OH - and you CAN DPS them yourself. 12K DPS killed a hostile before it finished sounding the alarm. You can also interrupt the call for help.

The simplest way I can think to explain how to complete this mission is to take the mindset that you're not actually stealthed. Treat it more like a mission in Hitman or Splinter Cell and it can be done quickly. Kill any guards on or near the road. Wait until the others turn their backs again after completing the "arms up" animation and then continue on your way. Key point: you are NOT stealthed in the usual way.

Honestly I didn't have an issue with this quest. I guess they hotfixed it due to the amount of people claiming how hard it was, but patience was my weapon. I killed every mob except for the ones in that middle ring who were watching a fight with Garonas assasinate ability.

The trick was to make sure that no other mob was facing a mob you kill, and when they all turn to look at the dead body you get another free shot at the mob that is furthest away with the ability, then they turn to look at that dead mob and you do the same until they all die. I had to wait a few times to move due to this, but thats the key, you need to wait.

Took me around 15 minutes total, on my third try. Also try not to be visible when killing mobs, I found hiding behind those crates everywhere means I can one shot all the mobs without a single one calling for help.

For the document collection part of the quest - I took an alternative route (Rogue).

1) I flew to Bastion Rise in Gorgrond - then rode back to the Gorgrond-Talador border.
2) at 49,94.5 I used my Mechashredder 5000, (option #3 Rocket Boost) to fly up onto the mountain top.
3) I then used a Goblin Glider - and aimed for the top of the blue window in the building holding the document - and flew accross landing above it.
4) On Landing you really want Stealth - as there are mobs standing on the wall that I flew over (well above them).
5) I jumped down, sapped 1 mob, used distraction on 2 others and slipped inside the building.
6) Sapped the guy at the desk, took the document and hearthed out.

I tried something similar for the 2nd part - but you can't fly over to where the pile of boxes are, without getting ported back to the start.

As an enh shaman I alternated my hexxing with Garona and was able to work my way up to complete quest. Interrupts also helped. Hope this helps :)

Just finished this quest without any bugs, so I'm assuming I'm either really lucky for once, or they fixed it. It only took me four tries to get the info in the building and then I moved on with no issues, even though I accidentally set off a mob. (I cheated and interrupted, then he dropped dead after two hits). I thought it was a lot of fun, since you had to be patient and semi-tactical as opposed to just running in and seeing if you can kill everything before it kills you. Though, I can see why it would be frustrating, since you have to start over if you get caught, but a little patience goes a long way. I sat for a second every time I noticed a new mob, and watched where they would pat to, then assassinated accordingly.

As for Garona...she'd had a rough day, but if we're ever on a mission together again, and she is about as useless as she was on this quest, she's getting thrown in the dungeon in my barracks. C'mon, lady. You're supposed to be LEGENDARY.

If you are circling Guldan trying to 'spy on him' you need to locate the stack of crates labelled 'Convenient Hiding Place' and click on it to start the cinematic to complete the quest.

My Experience:

This quest definitely requires lots of patience. Take your time .. It is easy to do just TAKE your time guys (BUT DONT TAKE AGES). It is a good idea to target your self with a mark to see where you are going if u will lose concentration (like happened with me) and enable the nameplates of the enemies so they are visible when you are at good distance away from them as said above. Get your camera at far angle.. walk slowly and walk safely. DONT forget. you need the top left room at the corner first before you proceed right to Gul'dan.

Tips:

#1 wait for the mobile guards when they are away from others and take them one by one. don't rush on them.

#2 focus on the ones on the main path as you enter. I saw some videos explaining how to get to the room using the very left corner side. Didn't work for me I found it easier using the main path.

#3 Get the ones on the edges closer to the main pathway only and forget the bunch in the left middle area.

#4 when you reach the room hug the wall and take each guard alone, meaning one of the guards is mobile wait for him to move far and then get the first guard so that you can get the second one safely.

#5 wait a second after each kill don't rush.

MY ROGUE does better alone than with her. And she's Legendary, what are we then? And I don't know if they made a fix or something, the quest now saves your progress, so now, if you kill the guy in the hut, get plans and in midway to the spy stuff you get caught, once you get ported to Khadgar, you'll only have to go up there. Well I was alone while I noticed this, had to 'get rid' of Garona before doing anything anyways.

Edit: Remember you NEED to interrupt any mob that notices you first then dps it down. In the meantime that you're trying to get him down, he may finish the alarm. Dks can Death Grip for example, and any ranged interrupt, or knockbacks (i.e Warrior dragon Roar talent, or even shockwave if multiple mobs are close enough, druids typhoon, etc) helps here, a LOT. Just interrupt and use extra button to send Garona to finish him faster.

If you also have Primal Fury in your log, you will have to drop it before you can complete An Inside Job. Once you drop the Primary Fury quest, 3/4 of the mobs despawn and it will be so easy you will want to cry.

How this quest made it into the game really makes me lose a lot of confidence in Blizzard. Considering what it takes to get this far, only to be faced with this bullsh*t excuse for a quest is just insulting and disturbing.

If I wanted to play a stealth game, I'd go play Dishonored.

At least Dishonored didn't ask me to go and collect 10 goblin ears, because Dishonored knows what kind of game it is.

This quest can easily be done by using the LFG tool to your advantage. When you join a group(from a different realm) in your group finder, all of the mobs will dissapear. You have to do this a couple times since you have a couple of objectives to complete.

Note: As of patch 6.2, this has been fixed.

I'm a rogue, with a cloak enchant that gives me a movement speed of 130%. While with Garona, I'm limited to 71% movement speed. Why?
Despite being stealthed, we're spotted almost immediately by enemy mobs. Why?
I've just spent 7 weeks raiding to get to this point, why is this quest necessary at all?
This truly is one of the worst quests I've ever encountered in WoW. And they wonder why they're losing subs in the millions during this xpac.

I was really nervous to start this quest with everyone talking about how much of a pain and how you practically need exploits or you're going to have a terrible time with it. I kept thinking, "Crud, this is going to be as hard as the rogue legendary of sneaking through Gilneas isn't it?"

Wrong. Actually, for a mage, this was unbelievably simple. Maybe they've patched it since everyone had their issue? But the most I had to do was click Garona, kill a guard, wait two seconds, do the next. If there was a pile of three, I could polymorph one, kill the other, and if I had to, Arcane Torrent or Counterspell the other then kill it. But honestly...Garona did so much dps I literally didn't even have to both about killing them myself. I could just sit back and wait if I wanted.

I spent around five minutes getting through the quest.

I did this fine with no cheating, cross realms, etc. It's still a bit buggy (sometimes rather than Garona killing mobs they'd disappear) but it worked fine.

You don't kill anything, let Garona do it.

All I did was follow the road, kill all the mobs on the road on the way to the underground room first. Kill them when no other mob is close or looking at them. Then up to the pile of boxes and click them.

Not sure if it was fixed but I wasted more time on all the cheats on here than actually doing it like it was meant to be done.

This can be done solely with Garona's ability, but it took me eight tries to get it right.

1 Be sure that no orc is near your target, or nearby orcs facing your target.
2 Clear the lower level and enter the cave at the back. Just follow the main path and patiently take out all orcs. Avoid the pit with the bunch of orcs.
3 Get your first objective inside the cave.
4 Work your way up the ramp, patiently take out all orcs. Enter the building to open a treasure with a whopping whole Primal Spirit and a bunch of Apexis Crystals.
5 Click the stack of boxes to complete your quest.

Important note: if you take too long, the orcs will actually start to respawn. Be patient, but be swift enough.

I tried very hard to do this quest properly, because I just wanted to. However, it was not to be, I could not even get the past the first six guards after two hour blocks of trying over four weeks. I ended up finishing it with a combination of cross realm stuff and running across the bridge to rid myself of the "master assassin" who is always seen by everyone.

If at the end you have trouble seeing Khadgar and a relog doesn't fix it, run across the bridge until you start seeing butterflies, then run back, and Khadgar should be back.

It seems 6.2 has fixed most of the bug issues. I did this with relatively little trouble on a holy paladin using Repentance, and I assume it should be similar for any other CC ability. Sometimes it does bug out and tell you the stunned mob is sounding the alarm if you get too close to it, but simply ignore this and continue. The stunned mobs also don't die if you use Garona's ability on it but it will simply despawn. However this doesn't cause too much trouble. Took me a few tries to get it but it wasn't too bad, pretty fun quest if you ask me.

Our group of friends ran into problems when attempting the cross-server method. It seems that you can't be battle.net friends with the person on the other server.

Whether you create a group or join another group with a person on your friends list, the mobs are still there. Removing friends fixed this issue.

Make sure to write down your friends' battle.net account handle to avoid ~~escape attempts~~lost contact information.

The quest is still very buggy even in patch 6.2. It took me a good hour or so to complete this by the way it's supposed to be done (without using glitches).

For me the mobs often caused an alarm without a reason, from way further than they should have. It kind of felt like you weren't stealthed at all. I had lots of animation bugs too, sometimes mobs just didn't die, they just continued walking and then suddenly vanished.

Some steps to follow:

-Try to follow the pathway to the Draenei themed Tomb under the mountain, there is no point clearing the left side as there was no room to move freely.
-Try to kill as many mobs as possible though, but don't mind the pit of mobs as they just all aggro if you assassinate one of them.
-You can interrupt the alarm cast but I was doing this as melee so it's not that useful. You can also kill the NPC's if you can burst them quickly or one-shot them.
-Near Gul'dan, just clear a path to the pile of boxes and rush to them straight after. You can click them even if there is an alarm going off and the quest should finish with a cutscene.

I didn't even get the cutscene, only a black screen after clicking the boxes. I had to "skip" the cutscene to continue. Quest was completed though and I was teleported to Khadgar and was able to turn it in normally.

It still show a real incompetence by Blizzard when such an important quest is bugged through and through even a patch later it's implementation.

I was using the Dominoes add-on when I did this quest, so I couldn't see or use Garona's 'Assassinate' ability and was getting incredibly frustrated. I used my command demon ability and glyph of fear as interrupts, but I still couldn't get past the middle section of the first road after many hours of trying. Make sure to disable interface add-ons, and it will be much easier for you than it was for me!

So I did this a few times without success and then had the idea of not going in through the front door. If you scout to the left of Khadgar (as someone else mentioned in the comments) and follow the path you'll see a group of 6 mobs guarding their outpost. To the right of them is the main fortress wall.

Rather than killing the guards as someone else did, I could jump on the spike on the wall and then up on to the ledge. There is one trash mob below (a worker) that Garona can dispatch quickly. I submitted a screen shot after I completed the quest but the spot for those with co-ordinates is: 68,2

I could then jump down and clear the individual mobs that patrol to the right (to the left is a circle of mobs, best to avoid this). Running across the path you can then edge up to the location where the horde intel is. The mobs are sporadic and singular here and it's best to wait until all the other npcs stop staring at the killed mob before you move on to the next. I found the spacing of them to be far enough a part that they were all dispatched quickly.

Once you've got the intel from inside the hut, you can make your way back up the path (that you've already cleared) and then head into the next level by dispatching two guards near the archway. Home run from there, you'll see a pile of crates that are clickable, run to it and click. Cue cinematic. ;)

The cross realm cheat did not work. What I did find helpful was that after killing a mob, the others look at the corpse and then do a gesture like "whatever" and continue what they were doing. I waited for these seconds to pass. Secondly the following happened to me, I don't know if it's a bug or I didnt notice well: when Garona kills a mob and her ability is on cooldown, if another mob starts to cast the sound the alarm spell I put a dot on it. Weirdly enough this renewed Garona's ability OR made the mob to start the spell from the start, I couldnt notice at that moment. Either way I was able to make Garona kill it as well. This may help. In fact I finished this quest in 5 mins :)

Easy for a Lonewolf Hunter with Glyph of Camouflage. Log out and back in and the assassin will be gone. Just stealth your way to the first room to the north-west and counter shot the guy if he sounds alarm and dps him down. Stealth up the hill to the east and grab what you need before the cool down runs out or find a safe spot and re-camouflage, grab it and here comes the cinematic.

Just completed this for the second time. Knowing how annoying the quest was, I waited for a friend to finish the collection during the previous stage and we worked on this questline together. We could complete everything together up to this quest. However, when we were both working on this, I was having a much easier time, since I'd done it already and he was still figuring it out. I got to the cutscene while he was still phased and getting caught. As soon as I clicked the boxes and my cutscene started, his started and the quest ended up completing for him as well.. so party up and help each other out!

Protip. If you have the quest Primal Fury in your log as you try to do this you will tear your hair out, ragequit and go cry in a corner while cursing at Blizzard for making an impossible quest. Am speaking from experience.
From what I could gather I was in two phases at the same time and it was completely impossible to do either quest. After watching youtube videos of this quest and scratching my head wondering why there wasn't mobs fighting all over the place as it was for me, I abandoned Primal Fury and could finally finish this.

This quest seems to have been designed and implemented by someone who HAS NEVER PLAYED THE GAME themselves:

Garona's abilities as a Rogue... make no sense in the context of the game. It is completely out of step with every other rogue that she has no Sap/Garotte/Distract and can be seen from so far away.

This could have been implemented in the "NPC as a vehicle" style (remember scouting the Jade Forest? Or when Deathwing came to the Badlands and we punched him in the face?) and made more sense and been much more playable.

This could have been implemented with mechanics similar to the Shado-pan dailies and been more playable.

The "sneaking into Isle of Thunder" stealthy quest was better designed than this. When there is no indication of how far 30 yards might be it's horrendous.

This quest is even worse than the Celestial Blacksmith.

Keep to the right. Kill them one by one, doing your best to ensure that others don't see the kill. If they do, kill them before they sound the alarm.

Quest took less than 10 minutes - completed it at the first attempt, while eating a burrito. Seriously, I can think of 10 quests off the top of my head just from MoP which were worse than this one.

The quest is fairly easy IF you know what are you doing:

eliminate guards when they are away from others
after other see something died, they are on "high alert" for several seconds (they turn away), if you'll try anything when they are on this, you'll most likely get noticed
if you are noticed, it's not end of the world! There are two different alerts. First one comes after guard see someone dying whil,e second one comes after you've been spotted. The good thing on this is if guard see someone dying and then spots you, the first alert gets removed and start second one. Ie, you can simply kill two guards next to each other by killing first, then waiting the bit and then going close to him which means he'll recast the alarm and... well, die too ;)

After the first few attempts at this, I thought I was going to be like the others on here, wanting to throw my computer against the wall. But, it isn't that hard.

To get the intel: Walk straight through the gates behind/to the right of Khadgar. The orc to the left will walk forward, wait for him to do so and use Garona's ability on him. Then do the same to the orc on the right.
Take your time, make sure no orcs are looking in the direction of the orc you want to assassinate. They can be close, just not looking.
Once you kill an orc, all the others nearby will turn and look at the dead body, after a few seconds they will go back to what they were doing.
As a Death Knight, if I was spotted by an orc, I would death grip him to me while he was raising the alarm, kill him before he finished and continue. Or have Garona kill him before he finishes raising the alarm.
The path will split, the intel is to the left, down the stairs, inside the building.

Next- Spy on Guldan: Go out of the building and back up the stairs, back to where the path splits. This time, go right, up the hill. Again, take your time and watch for the pats. Once you get up the hill you will see a stack of boxes to the right of the path. Clear out the area enough for you to click on the boxes without being seen. This will start a cinematic. And bam, all done.

I enjoyed this quest. It was frustrating but only when I was impatient. Once I settled down and focused on the task it was fun and easy. I think the complainers wanted to just smash and grab. I found it refreshing to use brain instead of brawn.

You can fly fast to the points, if they caught you, no problem, go to the next point even if Khadgar teleported u to the start, on the last part of the quest click fast the boxes before they sound the alarm and done (sry for my bad english).

Stragoth's idea of climbing the wall along the left side of the compound is an awesome idea. One thing to keep in mind though, as I had a friend who went that way - upon entering the building, there was no Horde Intelligence to click on the table. He tired over and over and we began to think it was bugged.

Then we discovered when he went to the main entrance first THAT is when he got the notice to gather the intelligence. It wasn't until he at least entered the main gate that the Horde Intelligence was clickable on the table.

I just completed this quest. Even though flying's enabled now, don't be too hasty. Be sure to still complete the objectives of the quest and follow the blue circles on your minimap.

Note that flying is a bit unpredictable with this quest. Sometimes Khadgar will port you back to him saying that you're some special kind of crazy, sometimes he won't. From what I've noticed you can fly in as long as you land immediately (don't land too far in).

I did this on my first hunter about 3 weeks ago and with all of you help..it went flawlessly.
As of today 9/15/15, the first part is SO buggy you cannot do it, yet...try going in WITH her and you are spotted immediately, that supposedly greatest rogue ever is an aggro magnet. Fly around to the intel pick up location and now your camouflage vanishes as soon as you get anywhere close to the building and trying to shoot these orcs is not going to work..you cannot kill them. I tried several ways to get to the draenei building where the plans are and none are working..seems that you cannnot get near that place right now..submitting a ticket and this is not just me, as a hunter..I just saw a horde rogue and druid in cat form get the same treatment...

With Pathfinder Flying, I just flew in to the quest objective circle, got credit, caught, ported out, and then flew back in again to the next circle.

Yeah, I'm not too impressed by this quest either, and I was looking here for ways to cheat through it.

After a few attempts, what I ended up doing was climbing the hill behind the tunnel entrance and dropping down to ground level via its roof. There's enough random stuff lying around that you can get all the way down without even taking damage, and it bypasses the training yard that causes most of the problems.

For the second leg of the trip, it counts as a success as long as you reach and click on the stack of crates, starting the cutscene, even if an alarm sounds as you do so. I took my time about eliminating all the orcs along the higher road, then ended up having to make a mad dash for cover and it worked.

If you want to do with without trying to cheese it as per other advice, it just takes patience and perseverance.

I tried to fly in and just got ported out. Khadgar also does a nice zone wide /yell at you for attempting it, just to maximise the humiliation.

Don't consider trying to take two of the orcs out in one go, the cooldown on Garona's ability will thwart you. Wait until each mob you want to assassinate is at the maximum distance it can be from other mobs. After it's been killed, the closest mobs will turn and look, then shrug and look away. I stayed still until they had turned away again, this seemed to work better.

After taking the two out on the bridge, take out the patrolling mob on the right side of the path, then tuck in behind the bridge pillar on the right. There's one that patrols the path, make sure he's gone the full distance away before taking out the ones on the left side of the path. There's one or two around the top edge of the pit that need removing, other than those, leave the ones in the pit alone.

There's plenty of time to just wait until the mobs that move are max distance apart for assassinating in order not to be caught. Having said that, don't tarry too long because the one's you've already killed will respawn after a few minutes, but unless you stop to chat to someone (like I did >.>) you should be fine.

Just did this today on my warlock. Wasn't looking forward to it until I realized I could fly and make it so much easier. Followed the wall strat for moving around the base to get the objectives done. However I did notice that I couldn't get the infiltrate portion done unless I killed some of the mobs by the front door, then stepping inside briefly gave me credit. After that I just followed along the wall on my flying mount hovering a little above it. Used Garona to kill the mobs outside the intel building, then flew along side the mountain wall, killed an engineer, then killed the rest of the mobs in my way near the boxes you hid in.

SO MUCH EASIER THAN IT WAS ON RELEASE.

I did this as a fire mage without fail after a million attempts when I used polymorph! Also I nukes down one target while Garona assassinated another. Went quick and easily

As of 6.2.2, this is very easily doable whit a flying mount. Just don't fly too high or you get ported out.

At this point, this quest is worthless. If you're still doing the legendary ring quest line at this point, don't bother accepting anything once your ring is upgraded. Not only are the mechanics of this poorly implemented, but what you get out of it is a bunch of cut scenes you've already seen, and a follower you won't need (and probably don't have room for.)

The best walk-through for this is as follows:

Abandon the quest
Search YouTube for WoD cut scenes
Fight pet battles until Legion is released, since everything is pointless and we know how it ends (unless you need to kill Arch again.)

Really not that hard
if bugged its fixed now (sometimes they dont fall, they just fade away)
you can do it less than 5mins if your take your time
make sure no1 is looking in your direction when u kill 1
if you accidentally pull 2 aggros, cc 1 n kill other
watch a video to see what path to take

was my biggest problem not sure to go up or down but you need to do both down into building first then up the hill

I found it worked easily by going slow and having Garona do all the killing. After each kill, stay still until surrounding enemies shrug their shoulders, and don't have her kill anyone while others are looking at the target. Hunter pet on passive. Indeed, sometimes there's a bug where enemies walk away after Garona stabs them, but a moment later they vanish anyway just as if they were killed, and no other problems.

My main problem with this was I went to Gul'dan first. I wasn't sure if gathering "intel" was a piece of paper or if it was just listening to Gul'dan talk. After a while I realized the marker on the map was making me go to the smaller building outside of the pit on the first level. After I went there going to Gul'dan was the 2nd part.

The easiest way to do this if you do not have stealth is to go around and use the airstrike outpost ability to take out large groups. note this can not be done for gul'dan

Easiest way I found, go to the left, up the side road. Kill all the guards, you have plenty of time to not get ported. Sneak around the side, have Garona take out the first guard, kill the rest. Jump over the wall, skirt just along the top wall along the building you need for the first part of the quest. Have Garona take out the few guards there, jump down and into the building. Complete the first part of the quest. Then head up the hill. Again, use Garona where you can. You may have to hurry up and kill a guard or too. Get up to the top quickly and click on the boxes. Even if you aggro the mob there, the quest will complete as it goes into the cut scene, then you get ported out.

Easy if you can be patient: I expected to use Assassinate and Arty Strike in equal parts as I flew along the left wall of the camp, but I took it slow, stayed mounted, and got through with just Garona's Assassinate ability. It seems like the key is to wait for mobs to be alone if you can't avoid them altogether.

I just flew into the building and got the horde intel, then went out and they sounded the alarm, then just flew and clicked on the boxes quickly. Super easy now with flying.

As a rogue, I ditched Garona by flying over the water (like above user suggested) and then stealthed into the compound. I kept my distance between mobs but as soon as I'd get within range, I'd sap one and continue on. That's how I picked up the items inside, then did the same thing over to spy on Gul'dan.
I was spotted right before I clicked, but it took me to the cinematic and easily completed the quest!

Actually this is an easy quest. The key is to kill enemies when no other one looks at them and most important you dont have to be near them when you do that. Stay at distance and Garona is going to teleport in their back and kill them.
My first instinct, was to sneak near them and click the assassinate button, but this is wrong because orcs are going to see you and is pretty impossible no not to trigger another.

This quest has been fixed at this date. I did it the way intended. Just be careful, wait for two together to separate and take the one left. Wait and the second will come back for the slaughter. Watch the facing of those around the next target. If one tries to sound the alarm, kill it quick. The intel is in the big gothic arch entrance on the first level. Once you have that its quite easy to carefully work your way up to the clickable crates. Kill the engineer, click the crates you are done. Enjoy the cinema.

I honestly think everyone here has it all wrong.

This is one of the best quests in WoW ... totally different than the other boring "go here, find that". You need to use strategy and skill.

It's very easy if you are patient. Just take them out one by one when they are in range. Hit your V key to show the mob labels. Take out the first ones that come into range.

Wait after you kill each one for them to "reset" because they will stare at the dead corpse.

Other than that, it's really easy.

started the quest and tried to fly over to the objective and then got ported out. from there, garona wasn't following me anymore and i was able to just fly in and gather the intel and ignoring the guards. after being ported from the alarm i just flew over to spy on guldan without being ported.

I actually made an account just to post this because it really is the worst quest in all of WOD, but here's the exploit I used to get it done. you need Draenor Flying first, if you don't have that go spend 3 weeks grinding Tanaan rep and come back.

I used my 2 seater rocket because its nice and slim and is easier for me to aim at doorways and narrow passages and doesn't have big distracting flappy wings. Mount up stay as low as you can and fly right through all of the mobs into the building, dismount on the way in and immediately touch the item on the table, do it as fast as you can. I got credit for touching it then the alarm went off and I got ported outside but I kept the credit. If you fly too high you get ported out for cheating. The mobs in the middle WILL start raising the alarm, you will see the message but ignore it and touch the item on the table ASAP and you'll be OK.

Stage 2 requires you to go back into the compound hg the right hand wall go AROUND that wall in the tightest corner u can make and up to a stack of intractable crates and click on it. I managed to click on it WHILE MOUNTED because of the Garrison n Stable ability but if you just dismount on the approach it should be ok too.

To get an idea of where the crate is fly up and over the wall, this will port you out but it will give you a glimpse of where you need to go so you can fly directly there on the real approach. Once you touch the crate a cut scene plays and then you get ported out and you're done.

Easy.

As a rogue with flying I rushed the first objective by flying ~10 meters off the ground and picking up the intel. After I had picked it up the alarm had gone off and I was ported back. I could then rush the next objective on my mount and finish the quest without killing anyone (had to vanish before clicking the boxes so the cast wouldnt be interrupted).

Finally a quest in WOD that take a little while, if you are patient it's easy peasy. Take your time and kill every moving npc on your way and youre done, once you reach the crates click them even if they discover you. Nice cinematic and announcement for Legion ;)

If you have a flying mount and you get SICK of doing this after the 50th try.

Go through the front gate until the first objective is done. Easy Peasy,
Making sure that the guards on the wall don't see you fly around to left and go to Draenei looking building (69.8 3.0) and land on the wall (70.0 2.4) next to that building. Kill the few guards with range or with Garona if she is with you, if you have a stealth mechanic use it, polymorph will also work. Run down and kill the guy in the building. Get the plans and run out.

Then fly low towards 69.0 5.5, which is just over the wall, you will see a stack of boxes that are clickable. Click the boxes.

You are DONE!

The easy way I found to do it post x-realm fix is; assuming you have flying, get the quest, get on a flying mount, and just dive bomb your way into the tunnel, use her skill to kill the guy, and loot. Then you'll get ported to the front. Do it again only go around and do the crates. You can't fly straight up to it but you can get around to it easily.

The secret is to:
1. Be as far away from any mob as possible when you send Garana.
2. Wait until after the other mobs go back to business before moving at all.
3. Try to assassinate mobs that no others are looking at.

Can confirm this quest can be done by quickly flying into the room to pickup the piece required before they sound their horns.
I did this with 310% flying speed, and it worked in 1 minute!

I did this one before on my shadow priest. So it had to be easy with my druid. This is just not that simple a quest, at least, until you try it a couple of times to get things down.

I used a flask of ethereal oil to hopefully enhance my stealth. (Not sure it helped, but it could not hurt.)

Go in through the front door, with Garona. Kill the first few with her, just go slow, and wait until each one is on their own. Take them all out, but not too slowly that they repopulate behind you.

My trick is to go up the road on the right, STAYING TO THE RIGHT, up the road. Leave the mob alone in the pit. You can take out each of them, up to the two in front of the entrance to the lower area with the intel. You will probably want to take out the engineer there too.

Having done that, I got caught trying to get up the road to Guldan. Ugh. But no problem at all, as long as you can fly in.

So drop Garona. Fly away until she is no longer with you. Fly around to the back of the compound, behind the building. Go to cat form in stealth mode, and drop down behind Guldan. There are two or three engineers/skirmishers walking around. But if you stay stealthed, and move while they are not looking in your direction, you can drop down behind the boxes. Then click on the boxes. I got discovered just at this point, but the scene starts, and it did not matter. It finished, and I had my quest done.

Actually, it was pretty easy.

I absolutely have to post here. For the infiltrating part, I used Garona and killed the first 2 guards (one by one, without them seeing the other) and got that part of the quest done. Then, I lost my Garona, flew from beyond the mountain to the building I needed for the intel, rushed in and looted. Of course I was spotted, but hey, too late, I looted. For the spying , again: I flew close to ground, over the fence, straight on the boxes and clicked them! Total succes in 20 secs.

Several others have mentioned it, but it was buried a bit in another reply, so I thought I would share. Since flying has been introduced, the easiest way to complete this quest is to get on your flying mount - fly about the top of the building height and swoop in and get your objective. You may set off alarms on the first one, but then just fly in and click on the second objective and done! Takes less than 3 min.

Gotta love the flying mount.

I flew around the area, landed at the back, just beside the entrance to where the first step of the quest is. Turn on my stealth and went in and killed the guy. When I got out I was seen and the alarm went.

so for step 2 I flew up and landed on the edge just nearby step 2, jumped down and activated it before the alarm was sounded. Tadaa, super easy.

Make sure you still have the stealth buff while mounted if you're going to try the flying method. If not, Khadgar will teleport you out and then yell at you:

Are you crazy, launching yourself into the air like that! Why not just send Gul'dan a telegram? Better yet, march into the compound at the head of a Brewfest oompah band. This is a stealth mission, %name! Stealth!

Head's up- if you have the Draenor meta achieve to be able to fly, you can now basically just fly through this and hurry to the object you have to interact with. Got in done in about a minute this way.

As a warlock, remember that shadowfury works on countering an alarm. Pretty much a cakewalk through the front gate once you can take out any random alarms as the stun counters garonas cooldown. Also fear works, with a lower cd even.

This quest is insanely easy if you know the trick to it. The targets simply cannot be observed when you kill them. They could be standing right next to each other but if one has his back turned to the other, you can take it out and Garona will not be seen.

Just make sure no other mob is looking at the one you're going to kill. Easy Peasy.

Waaay easy! Took 5:47 to complete. Go slow and watch the NPC paths. The aggro range IS smaller. A couple spots I had to back up a bit. Completed on third try.

This is not as hard as you think.
Heres how:
Head up the walkway and kill the two first guards. Then pretty much just kill the guards you see inside to the left. Both those on the road and those next to the hut. Sneak up behind the little hill with the chains. Here you can stand without being spotted.

Kill the guards that are close enough that you can assassinate (no need to fight yourself)
Theres a few guards facing the road close to the pit where everyones standing. Dont bother those in the pits. You will be detected.
Once the guard facing the road which is standing next to the pit are dispatched. Cross the main road. Youll see some rocks and a scaffolding. Jump up those small rocks and go behind the scaffolding. Stick to the wall so youre safe. There will be a few guards wandering around where the road splits to left and right. You need to head to the left first. But do take out the guards you can get to that are on the road to the right. Stay as far from the pit as you can while taking out the wandering and lonley guards. Theres a building that you need to get into. Theres just a single person there. Assassinate and take the notes.

After that you head outside and go up the road (which now will be on your left side again) ahead are some crates that you need to click. Enjoy a cool cutscene after you click. Youre home free after this.

So, seems like this quest is currently bugged. I was able to fly around with my Obsidian Nightwing freely and as long as I flew at a low enough height I didn't get sent back. Took about 3 minutes.

This is trivial now. Mount up and fly down the road towards the intel tunnel at about 25 feet above the npc's. You can fly right into the tunnel, kill the 1 npc, grab the intel and then get detected and go back to the start. Now fly up to the crate that you hide behind and quickly click it, you can enter the cut scene and get credit even if guards are sounding the alarm as long as you click fast. Easy peasy.

If there's any rogue wondering, yes, you can simply drop Garona (by moving far away from the quest objectives) and use your own stealth abilities to get to the highlighted objectives.

Yes, it's annoying that your own rogue is apparently more stealthy than the legendary assassin, but this was by far the easiest method for me to complete this quest.

I completed this quest by bugging it as a Resto Druid.

First and foremost, I chose Typhoon as a talent.

Then, when Garona stealthed me near to the gate, I continually shape-shifted into flight form and flew over the gate and directly towards the dranei-type building where the intel is being held. The first few times, Khadgar pulled me back, but around try 4 or 5, I managed to fly directly into the building and land on the table.

The orc in the building will sound the alarm before you can grab the intel, but that's okay. When all of the orcs showed up, I Typhoon-ed them backwards, grabbed the intel (a short cast bar) and cat-formed. Then I Sprinted up onto the rise (being chased) and clicked the stack of boxes. You can "spy on Gul'Dan" even if the alarm has been sounded.

If you succeed, you will see a cut-scene.

Just an FYI, if you have flying, fly into where the item is, low to the ground, the alarm will have been sounded, but if you are ranged you can kill the NPC and then keep flying in until you get the item. You will get ported out a few times but keep trying, fly into the building as far as you can. For the boxes, do the same, fly in along the road, head for the boxes and click them, walla cutscene. Hit escape and you are done, talk to Khadgar and collect your reward!

I ended up halway across gorgrond dead because my slow fall effect ran out before I could reach ground, and the item was on cooldown.

At least with Vivienne, if you have a follower (you know, so you have the convenience of the garrison portal after the quest is done) your follower will be sent back to your garrison, I'm guessing by Khadgar. I didn't mind not having her bodyguard abilities, and didn't think anything of it when she was replaced by Garona as my escort, but Blizz could have at least just phased the bodyguard into being passive for this quest. I mean, I take Vivienne explicitly for the garrison portal.

If you're a mage, you can polymorph the mobs inside. They'll still be alerted to you, but they can't sound the alarms. Polymorph one and assassinate the mobs around them, then kill the morphed one

An Inside Job

Infiltrate Bladefury's Command with Garona's help. Use her talents to eliminate guards without being seen. Locate Iron Horde intelligence and then spy on Gul'dan.

Description

If Garona's intelligence is correct, Gul'dan will be inside this Iron Horde compound. With Garona's help, slip inside, gather any info you find, and learn what Gul'dan intends to do.
