To unlock this quest, you must have already completed the Cataclysm tier of Pet Battling: Battle Pet Tamers: Cataclysm / Battle Pet Tamers: Cataclysm and the follow-up Grand Master Obalis.

Completing this, and the follow-up Grand Master Aki, will grant you Taming Pandaria and unlock the Panderia Pet Battle Daily Quests.

The six Grand Master Pet Tamer teams you need to defeat are:

Hyuna of the Shrines in The Jade Forest:

Dor the Wall - a level 25 Turquoise Turtle (1850 Health / 280 Power / 280 Speed), with the abilities Headbutt, Healing Wave, and Shell Shield
Fangor - a level 25 Snake (1500 Health / 280 Power / 350 Speed), with the abilities Burrow, Hiss, and Vicious Fang
Skyshaper - a level 25 Shrine Fly (1500 Health / 311 Power / 623 Speed), with the abilities Confusing Sting, Glowing Toxin, and Slicing Wind
Farmer Nishi in Valley of the Four Winds:

Brood of Mothallus - a level 25 Jungle Grub (1657 Health / 280 Power / 311 Speed), with the abilities Acidic Goo, Burrow, and Consume

I finished the cataclysm ones a few minutes ago, the fight was pretty tough. The snake being the hardest by giant measures of the three.

I'm just a bit underwhelmed by what we get for doing all this. Pet bags from each master that may/may not have bandages in them.. and that's it. besides some useless grooming stuff. i don't know, I'm sure i'll attempt to finish this, but I am a bit disappointed to the rewards. This is as time consuming, or more time consuming than any profession, but it nets, just about nothing for the work.

I was able to solo with Spirebound Crab It was a level 25 rare quality. I just put on Shell Shield then Renewing Mists then Surge. just use Shell Shield and Renewing Mists on CD

Unfortunately, due to Macro size restrictions, you can't combine the two.
If you DID want to do them all in one run, you could probably make a two-stage macro.

This quest is currently bugged - once you beat one master, the others will only have completely empty dialog boxes with no option to challenge them. If this happens to you, log out and then log in again - simple /reload UI does NOT help. After a complete relog, you will be able to challenge whichever one you're at.

As each of the Alliance and Horde 'Battle Pet Tamers:' quests have a unique quest ID, you are able to carry an Alliance and Horde one at the same time.

They will show as (Account) in your quest log and can be completed by any character.

When you fight each respective Battle Pet Tamer, it will mark off for both Alliance and Horde quest lines and once completed, you will be rewarded with not one but two Sack of Pet Supplies.

It is irrelevant which character you complete this on as both quests will auto-complete in the field. However, the character which accepts the auto-complete will receive the satchels, regardless of which character picked up the quest (this is important if you like your pet goodies on one particular character).

It does not give you a double shot at the Grand Master Quests (example Grand Master Antari)

This is a great way of doubling your chances at pet and battle stone drops.

If you are short on pets, a team that can kill all of these trainers (except Nishi) is as follows:

Pet #1: Droplet of Y'Shaarj
Acid Rain then Dreadful Breath and repeat until this pet dies.

Pet #2: Filthling
Dreadful Breath spam until this pet dies.

Pet #3: Pocket Reaver
Quake to aoe, then Supercharge + Metal Fist to finish off high health enemies. Use as necessary.

If the quest is not popping for you after you did all the requierements just :

"I had something happen like this, and I had to login on a different toon than the one I turned the quest in on, to pick up the next quest. Then I just logged back in on my other character and proceeded as normal."

I came back to this quest chain after a while. I was just missing the quest Grand Master Obalis, and after finishing it I was unable to get this one from Varzok. Tried to complete some more achievements related to the collection on expansion previously to Pandaria and was still unable to start this quest.

The bug is that at the end of Shadowlands I transferred my characters to another server and did a faction change. I don't know why even after finishing Grand Master Obalis as Horde, this quest is only appearing as Alliance. So if you have a problem starting this quest as Horde, and your case is close to mine, having characters in both factions contributing to the quest chain, try to use an Alliance character to check if the quest Battle Pet Tamers: Pandaria is available with Audrey Burnhep,

Description

You must now face the toughest tamers in all of Azeroth, <name>. They make their home in Pandaria, training ground of the grand masters.

There are six grand masters left to defeat: Hyuna of the Shrines in The Jade Forest, Farmer Nishi in Valley of the Four Winds, Mo'ruk in Krasarang Wilds, Courageous Yon in Kun-Lai Summit, Seeker Zusshi in Townlong Steppes, and Wastewalker Shu in Dread Wastes.
