Just talk to the quest giver and he'll fly you around. I hardly used the Paralyzing potion it gives you and focused everything with the poison potion. Takes the Kunchong ~3-4 hits of the poison.

Throw the Red (Stun/Paralyzing Potion first, then the Green (Poison). This combo will 1 shot the big guys.

I don't understand why completing a quest that requires you to be Revered with the Klaxxi rewards you with an ilvl 437 green quality ring when you can get far better rewards much more easily, with much less time investment.

For me the easiest way to get the kunchong was to paralyze them first, then poison them.

quest giver has phased out when i completed the quest. Not fixed by restarting.

For the record, the Dread Behemoths also count as Kuchongs for some reason when bombarding, which is handy for making quick work of this quest.

I am currently on this quest but there is no one there for me to start the quest, is there something I need to do or is there something I am missing in some quest line.
I have tried for awhile and cant seem to finish this quest. Any and all help would be greatly helpful.

After killing enough mobs I dismounted and watched Xaril fly back to where he started. Do not follow him back, his turn in point is in Klaxxi-vess.

When doing this quest, remember to jump off when he is flying low/near the ground. Dismounting after you made the kills is possible, but you do NOT get a parachute or something equivalent. You just fall. And since he flies rather high, you might want to wait a bit before leaving the "vehicle".

If you should accidentally dismount yourself, simply fly back to the questgiver's original location. Talk to him again and he'll fly you back to finish up the quest.

Is there any reason to complete this quest? Does it open up anything? I'm on a laptop and I cannot kill the kunchong using the touch pad.

I had an issue where my vehicle action bar with the Venom Bomb and Paralyzing Serum didn't appear. My keybind for leaving a vehicle didn't work either. I finally had to log out (while he was flying me around) and relog, where the game put be back at a graveyard.

I believe this is because I had a pet out (hunter) when I spoke to him, and it somehow bugged out. So, if you're using a class with a pet, dismiss first then talk to him to fly.

You can throw the poisons at the big guy outside, and he'll yell, but it doesn't do anything. I assume it's because it's basically the same as the daily quest.

In order to complete The Poisoned Mind quest:

Speak with Xaril the Poisoned Mind to begin The Poisoned Mind quest.
Using Venom Bomb and Paralyzing Serum:
Kill any 200 Mantid (Krik'thik Wingguard, Krik'thik Wingleader, Ik'thik Warrior, Ik'thik Slayer, Krik'thik Wingguard).
Kill any 3 Kunchong (Krik'thik Battletank, Ik'thik Kunchong, Dread Behemoth).
Speak with Xaril the Poisoned Mind again and return The Poisoned Mind quest.

Questgiver is actually in front of the cave to the left of where it says "Heart of Fear" on the map (28.7 42.2) despite what Wowhead shows. He doesn't formally move to Klaxxi'vess until this quest is completed.

If you cant find Xaril at the "main base" (Klaxxi'Vess), he is lookated at the coords 28 42.

Speak to Xaril the Poisoned Mind. Kill 200 mantid and 3 kunchong while flying with him.

Description

Before we return to Klaxxi'vess, I wish to look upon the empire.

The Klaxxi Council told me that the enemy gathers outside the Empress's palace.

My poisons are ready. What better way to announce my return than with death and destruction?

Just be careful not to mix the two serums... at least not while you're holding the vessels.

Speak to me when you are ready to fly.
