looting a egg aggros every chimaeras in a 40 yards radius

I've done this on a few characters now, but one thing I recently noted when leveling my rogue through here is this: I usually run in subtlety spec, but you lose most of the advantage of that spec in this quest, since any time you loot the eggs you become visible, targeted and can't benefit from ambush. So as it turns out, I found this easier (and faster to grind through) when I stayed in combat spec. I did a fair bit more DPS that way (keeping in mind you lose ambush and stuff from subtlety spec) and my energy generation was faster, enabling me to generate combo points more quickly. When this was done, I went back into subtlety spec to deal with the frostsabers, owls and stuff.

Not a radius issue, One chimaera is spawned and attacks each time you loot an egg.

That is not true the Chimaera does not always attack when you loot an egg I lotted 3 and No Chimaera came out and attacked me, at other eggs yes it did come out and attack me so what you posted is not 100% True just stating a simple fact I just completed this Quest like 10minutes ago so I know.

Ok, so what are all the little snow-piles around here? They look like the snowpiles from the dwarf starter zone, when you're picking up artifacts for the guy in Anvilmar. But they're not clickable...

This quest seems bugged as of 2013/06/29.
You can click the eggs, the character "kneels", but the loot window doesn't show up.

Description

I don't have a very discerning palate, but even I can't stand the taste of those chimaeras that you'll find around here. Their eggs, however, are a different story.

Chimaera eggs are the richest, most buttery eggs you'll find this side of Orgrimmar. Way better than boring owl eggs, and not as sulfurous as those weird wildkin eggs.

I'll take as many of them as you can gather. Head northeast, and look for their nests in the snow.
