His name and that he say "It will be a pleasure shooting you down" could be a reference to "The Red Baron" (Fighter pilot during First World war, shooting down 80 planes) as his name was "Manfred Von Richthofen"

Bleah, this is bugged for me at the moment. The little guys spawn over near where you get dropped off, but they just sit there and don't fly over and grab him, and you can't kill him, so you eventually have to give up or die.

With this quest, To Be Horde... in the Stonetalon Mountains, and Changing of the Gar'dul in Southern Barrens, we're getting a real rep for throwing bad guys off of tall places.

I was displeased after jumping onto Heartrazor because all of the adorable little wind riderlings that were cheerfully following me around disappeared. I suppose their triumphant reappearance at the end was worth their loss.

I was having trouble completing this quest on my warlock. You have to stand on top of the NPC location to get credit.

Richtofen seems to be bugged at the moment. When the wind rider he's on is supposed to fly away, he just drops down and spawns another, riding it on the ground. Which results in things getting a bit bizarre when the pridelings swarm him: they latch on to the face of the wind rider, which makes it look less like they're carrying Richtofen away and more like the wind rider is flying away because it can't see where it's going. At least until it plummets like a rock for apparently no reason whatsoever.

The quest is now less adorable and more "oh dear lord they're making their pridemate commit suicide" :|

This is one of those particular quests where it may bug out and not complete if you're doing this on a higher level who can one-shot him.

If so, simply unequip your weapon and punch at him for a little while.

Get a flight from Heartrazor to the Twilight Aerie and deal with Twilight Skymaster Richtofen.

Description

Twilight Skymaster Richtofen is at the Twilight Aerie up above and to the southeast. No matter what we do down here, if he's not dealt with, all hope is lost for Highperch.

While Heartrazor is too injured to help you with the fight, he can fly you up there. The rest is up to you, <name>.
