Something too look out for, Aggra has an awesome shield and weapon before you get on the wyvern, then when your going through the maelstrom with her, they change into an old school shield and mace that make her look pretty unbearable.

If Deepholm loading screen has finished loading and you are flying through the sky with Aggra, your dungeon queue pops and you join it, when you come back out you will no longer be on the wyvern so you basically fall to death.

I learnt that the hard way.

Aggra's speech while you're flying:

I hope you have a strong stomach. Travelling through the breach is not for the weak.
We're at the center of the Maelstrom, the rift between Deepholm and our world. Watch as it threatens to tear our world apart!

You made it! Good!
This is the Temple of Earth. It's the most important structure in Deepholm.
there was once a Titan-made stone inside. It was known as the World Pillar. The name was literal. It bore the weight of all the elemental and magnetic forces in Deepholm.
It was shattered when Deathwing broke through the dome above and created the rift between the two worlds. All of Deepholm is going to collapse into Azeroth if we do not put the World Pillar back together.

I thought Aggra was a Mag'har orc. If she is indeed, why would she refer to Azeroth as "her" world?

The dialogue from the 3rd part of the Elemental Unrest world event preceding The Sundering implies otherwise:

Thrall says: Would I be here if this were not serious?
Aggra says: I have heard you before. You are here to save your world; to learn from ours. Greatmother Geyah has charged me with instructing you, and as such, you will listen to me, Go'el.
Thrall says: I have told you to call me Thrall.

From Aggra's speech as you're flying into Deepholm...

"All of Deepholm is going to collapse into Azeroth if we do not put the World Pillar back together."

Shouldn't these be the other way around? Or will Deepholm collapse up?

NOTE: If you are an alchemist or you take the deepholm potion to teleport in there, and you take some quest, that will bug the maelstrom quest and you wont get the portal, just abandon all quest of deepholm and you will get again the quest.

I noticed while levelling my Priest today that they've finally gotten around to updating Aggra's voice to her new VA. Last time I did it on my Shaman a few months ago it still had her previous voice. The dialogue as also changed a bit (and no longer matches the text in places), including Aggra now saying "your world" rather than "our world".

You "can" change camera angels while flying with Aggra now. Not sure when did blizz change it but today while leveling an alt I did the quest and I could change the view.

For those of you who like to do pointless things for fun, you can abandon this quest instead of completing it after you fly into Deepholm with Aggra. You can still do all the Deepholm quests as normal, and you can take the portal back to Stormwind / Orgrimmar. The portal to Deepholm in those capital cities will be open, regardless of whether you've actually handed this quest in.

What's the point of doing that? Well, if you abandon this quest, you'll have a permanent portal to the Maelstrom in the center of all the other Cataclysm portals. You can't actually do anything there besides enjoying the view, annoying Thrall, and chatting with the random people who come through once in a while on their way to Deepholm. But still, I thought it was cool.

I've been doing it on all of my characters.

One warning though: If you complete any further quests in Deepholm, this quest will not be available again from Thrall in the Maelstrom. So once you take that portal to the Maelstrom, you have to use your Hearthstone or another teleport to get out. If you don't do any Deepholm quests, you'll have to suffer through Aggra's speech every time if you don't wanna teleport.

I did this quest today, and happened to fly through deepholm with Aggra at the same time as an alliance character was doing the same. I clicked on the Alliance Aggra npc, and realized she had a red outline, and was presumably aggressive to Horde characters. We both landed at the same time, and my Horde Aggra and the Alliance Aggra started fighting as they flew off, before they both despawned? It was very strange

I died on this quest today while flying through the breach with Aggra. Not sure what happened because I tabbed away to my email but heard the sound of my character dying in the background. When I tabbed back again I was somewhere above the temple in a cloud of orange. I was able to fly back to my corpse and rez, and was just lying there asleep (with Zs rising from me). I was unable to move but hearthed back to Stormwind without any problems. Very strange.

Jump on Aggra's Wyvern and fly into the breach at the Maelstrom. Once you're on the other side, speak to Maruut Stonebinder.

Description

I knew you'd heed our call, <name>. When Deathwing was first defeated by the other dragon aspects, he retreated to Deepholm, the realm of earth.

Deathwing's return to our world left a rift open between Azeroth and Deepholm.

If we don't mend the breach, this land will be torn asunder.

We're doing our best to contain the damage on this side of the rift. Aggra will take you through the rift so you can help repair the damage from the other side.

Get on her wyvern when you're ready.
