If you are not friendly with booty bay you are able to pick up quest but you will not be able to turn it in, until you are at least neutral.

I'm not sure if the quest is bugged but I can't turn it in. I defend Professor Phizzlethorpe, then he tells me Doctor Draxlegauge will have further information, but the guy stays dead...

One more NPC to kill if you are working on Bloodsail rep.

Take this quest but LET HIM DIE!

Then, when he responds, he will be killable for Bloodsail Rep.

Never turn in this quest ,if you are looking to keep your Bloodsail rep ( you won't be able to turn in anyways if you aren't neutral),

This quest and the follow up quests indicate that only Booty Bay reputation is given, that is incorrect. You get half the amount of Booty Bay reputation as reputation towards Everlook, Gadgetzan, and Ratchet.

I think if we haven't done this quest before Warfronts it shows us exclamation mark on map, however we are not able to pick it up.

Accepted this quest and walked off, not realizing it was an escort. Had to abandon it and can't pick it back up. You can have another player pick it up and still get it, however I couldn't turn it in when I completed it :/

I also wasn't able to get any of the other quests in this area, but my friend was. They could share, but I couldn't hand any in.

TIL my warlock's rep with Booty Bay was low and that's why I couldn't pick up the quest. What...

Description

Now that we are full-fledged Blackwater Raiders it is our job to help Mr. O'Breen locate the lost elven treasure.

It is next to impossible to find the gems in the dark sea without aid. The doctor has constructed some goggles that will help. He needs the goggles charged with the energy derived from the enchanted stone in the cave just up the hill.

But the cave is cursed! When we get close, we get ambushed. Defend me and I can harness the energy from the stone into the goggles.
