This quest is currently bugged and keeps reseting.
Just wait outside by the npcs and after a few minutes you will complete the quest.

You need to fight until a naga takes you away (automatically). The naga will get killed by Erunak and Erunak should swim down to complete the event. If Erunak doesn't swim down just swim back and wait until you're kidnapped by the naga again.

Extremely buggy on launch. I accepted the quest, the nPCS ran out of the ship, then vanished. Now, there's no NPCs to get my quests from.

Edit: Eventually, they reappeared outside and I was able to start the event

Wait by the NPCs next to the boat, they will get taken away and eventually so will you.
Erunak will kill the naga who abducts you and swim down to a conch shell.
If you don't get credit for the defence of the ship right away, follow Erunak down to the conch and your quest should update.

If you're coming back to Vashjir at 85 to get rep, like I was, you'll be able to kill the naga pretty easily. DON'T DO IT. It'll cause the event to just repeat itself. Instead, just sit on your butt until they haul you off.

Around this time, kill Gilblin Collectors and hope
Lady La-La's necklace drops for Lady La-La's Medallion. There are conflicting reports of what quests are needed for the item to drop.
This is also a good time to kill Gilblingle for waterlogged journal which starts Blackfin's Booty.

Word to the wise, If you're level 85 and coming back here to do your quests for achievements, etc, make sure not to kill the naga too fast.

The waves keep coming if you don't in an endless loop. Let them start taking away soldiers, be patient, and it'll let you.

I just entered a gm ticket on the samee issue crazy 2 day wait you think with how much money wow is worth they could at least be better at responding to issues in a more timely fashion, not to mention this directly affect progress in this area. Oh and the quest call of duty is bugged as well no luck in vashj'ir i recommend hyjal.

Game Masters have reported that this quest is currently incompletable. Hopefully they will get it fixed soon.

This quest is bugged as of patch 4.3. It may work for you but you will most likely need a GM to push the completion for you. This is not the only bugged quest in this zone. You might want to just go to Hyjal for now.

This is bull*!@#, You come out with a major patch and they don't fix the quests that are so full of bugs that orkin can't handle it.
Been sitting over an hour. Nothing.
Sent in a ticket, 3 day wait.
WOW needs to fix things first before releasing a new set of quests.

This quest was bugged for me after 4.3.0, however after the most recent server resets (13th Dec) it now appears to be working.

Wish I had come here to read up on the bugs first. As of Feb 3rd, this quest is still broken. I completed the battle, got carried by a Naga, and then the Shaman save you, I was dropped on the ground (11K fall damage) and they all despawned, not showing up at the next quest hub. I was surprised by the drop damage and didn't watch the guys swim off, if they did at all.

I had to swim back to rejoin the battle from the start again. Was dropped for 11k damage again, but this time locked on and followed Erunak, and they respawned correctly.

A little disappointing that quests here are still broken when the expansion is, for all purposes, over.

For all those who are having trouble with the quest:

Combat is useless and you don't need to fight any mobs. When time passes you will get abducted by a Naqa and then saved by Erunak Stonespeaker.

If the battle keeps repeating itself and nothing happens, simply stand on the outside of the boat where you can watch the battle happening but aren't included in it. The battle may be cycled over and over but at one time you will get abducted!

(I had trouble with this quest myself and was submitting a GM ticket while the quest was running. As soon as I was going to submit it the Naga abductor appeared.)

There is a funny bug as a druid where if you go aquatic form when he tells you to run, you can outswim the naga that is supposed to bonk you on the head.
As long as you don't swim too far away, it will follow you across the entire zone. When you let it catch you, it will carry you all the way back to the boat, clipping through anything that may be in the path.
I'm not sure if you can kite it into the next zone, but if you leave the water the naga will dissapear.
If you have some extra time, this is pretty cool. I didn't think of swimming down into the abyss, I wish I did that so it would clip me under the ground to see what was down there.

#1 When doing this quest you don't really need to fight anything at all just wait near some of the NPC's on the far edge of the main battle, standing near /way 46.48 25.38 is close enough. One or two naga's might come over and attack you just slowly kill one if they attack. Eventually one of the naga will grab you and take you away saying something like "this is fine specimen..."

#2 The Naga will drop you off in the area of /way 46.7 43.2

#3 From where you are dropped off you want to walk/swim toward /way 46.38 45.7 and the quest will complete. DO NOT go somewhere else after being dropped off or the quest will NOT complete.

P.S. There will not be any NPC's standing at or near /way 46.33 46.67 until this quest is completed so when you walk from where you are dropped off by the naga you will be walking towards just a few big seashells. After the quest completes NPC's that offer quests will appear in the area of /way 46.33 46.67

If anyone's quest is suddenly not able to be completed because of the NPC's missing (Erunak, etc.) go back to the ship and do the defense again and get captured.

This should fix it. (Just keep an eye on Erunak once he saves you and make sure he doesn't disappear. I targeted him to make sure I didn't lose him.)

If it seems like nothing is happening, abandon the quest, log out and back in. Find Taylor in the water and re-initiate the quest. Just float there healing yourself if you can until a naga grabs you and swims away with you.

When you hear the line: 'My men - they're all taken.. Go! Save yourselves!' then you know you are on the right track.

I already knew that you can't fight too much on this quest or it takes forever / glitches, but here's another couple things not to do:
Don't get your repair mount and fix your gear, it can phase you out of quest
Don't eat, it says something like "can't do that while sitting" and phases you out of quest
Currently logging out and in again picks up the quest again and throws you back into the fight. Try not to participate, let the fight happen and the various comments happen until you get picked up, carried away and rescued.

Wife and I were trying to do this quest tonight and she kept experiencing the mobs resetting, whereas I was having no trouble. After a while, we figured out the issue:

Between waves, she was sitting to eat food to heal. You cannot be sitting between waves, because there is an invisible spell cast that requires you to be standing for the quest to progress from the fight portion to the naga kidnap portion!

If you log out between "On Our Own Terms" and this quest, "All or Nothing", the NPC's move outside of the ship. Just found this out the hard way.

In Cataclysm Classic, if you're getting phased out for seemingly no reason, unequip both DBW and Shadowmourne, if you have them. It worked perfectly for me.
