Like any other quest involving a named mob, it can be very frustrating for you to get the "kill" credit if the other players refuse to found a party.
Especially because of the fact every goblin MUST do this quest, the boss has much hp (making the fight a little longer than the normal one) and there is an unskippable ingame-sequence at the end.

The model scaling is a bit crap. When you first walk into the fight you'll think that Thrall has been shrunken. Gallywix, sitting in his bot, is at least twice the height of Thrall.

First things first: jump into the shredder looking vehicle before you head to the docks. Then go to where the map directs you and use the vehicles abilities to help thrall kill the mob.

If you dismount the vehicle it will disappear and you will have to go back to get another Footbomber

The orcs that are with thrall on the dock will /bow or /salute you if you talk to them before turning the quest in.

I've done this quest on two characters but Thrall never showed up so I had to deal with Gallywix myself.

Seriously, Thrall "needs help" against a Goblin trade prince? Is that the same Thrall who led the Battle for Undercity and tanked an overpowered Varimathras? He has trouble fighting a Goblin with no special power or fighting ability whatsoever? OK, the Goblin's sitting on a sort of robot, but....come on!

But perhaps the worst part is how this whole "Goblin intro" series of quests ends....

This is retarded im a lvl 11 goblin warlock on the realm Trollbane but whenever im not on the quest, hes there but when im on the quest, hes not there only the people fighting around the outside are there. :(

It's worth noting that if you are defeated the first time, when you remount the robot and go back right away, Gallywix is still at the level of health you left him.

Easy peasy!

Jump into the suit and run to where the guy is (nothing will attack you on the way). Once there wait until he pulls you towards him, when he does run forward so you are directly behind him then turn around. Kick the football bombs at him until he dies (he won't turn around and fight you, he will however occasionally pull you towards him but all you have to do is take a few steps backwards and keep kicking). It's a rather boring way of doing it but you won't take a single hit.

Just a tip for the Herbalism profession. You can gather herbs while still in the suit, which moves fast. When mobs attacked me, they missed every time. Could be a coincidence. You also get a message that you need to return to the Slave Pits if you stray too far from the original quest, and you get about 15-20 seconds before you lose the suit. But hey, free herbs!

I was having a similar problem to what others posted here and elsewhere. Thrall wasn't spawning and to add insult to injury, the #1 attack, Illegal Contact was getting an immune response from Gallywix half the time. Also, unlike some other posts I've seen, (where they said Gallywix would still be damaged if you hurried back) when I would get parachuted out after the Ultimate Footbomb Uniform was destroyed, Gallywix would reset back to 100%. He also would evade bug when trying to use the #2 attack, Field Goal, from any distance. I ended up putting in a ticket and the GM responded by saying

"As for your quest problems with "Final Confrontation", it looks like there may be an issue with Thrall and Trade Prince Gallywix not spawning properly. I went ahead and reset both NPCs, this should fix it up for you!"

Went back, found two bluish looking see through cyclones, one on either side of the entrance to the platform Gallywix was sitting on and a teeny, tiny Smurf sized Thrall there, fighting him. Gallywix stayed mostly agro'd on Thrall until the last 3rd, when he focused on me. The suit got destroyed and I got killed instead of parachuting, but I took rez sickness, ran back to get a new suit and hurried back to the platform. Found Gallywix was still mostly dead, finished him up and took the quest back to turn in to Sally just fine.

So, If you don't have Thrall there to help, don't bother beating a dead horse. Just stop and put in a ticket for the GM to reset the NPC's.

The warchief /yell that Thrall makes is outdated. He says Warchief Garrosh... which has been changed to Vol'Jin at the end of Pandaria, then to Sylvanas at the beginning of Legion as of the Broken Shore scenario.

Gallywix's health was buffed, making this quest take a LOT longer than it used to.

I had same problems as ferana above on 11/18/2018. None of the earlier suggestions above worked. I fought the boss and died 3 times. Each time I got him to 50% health before he killed the robot I was in -- the game flew me back with a parachute to the starting spot to try again, but the boss was instantly back to full health. Fighting him without the robot, I got 1-shotted. Finally I logged, came back, abandoned the quest, re-started, and ran until I could see him but was out of aggro range. I stopped to play a youtube video of the fight on another screen. The other mobs ignored me.

Then I noticed that he was fighting someone. "Another player!" I thought, and ran over there. But he was fighting mini-Thrall. I got behind him and attacked. His aggro stayed on mini-Thrall until he was down to around 50% health, then switched to me and stayed on me. I got him down to zero before he got robo-me down to zero -- I was around 10% when I won.

Suggestion: don't fight him solo. You will always lose. Wait for mini-Thrall to show up and start fighting him. Do whatever you need to (wait, relog, abandon quest, sacrifice a chicken) until mini-Thrall is there.

Free up a few orcs before engaging then pull him back to where those orcs are. The orcs will keep him engaged when your first bot gets wrecked so he doesn't reset. Grab another bot and finish him off.

This quest was pretty easy back when there were other people around doing the same part...
And I have no idea where Thrall is...
This quest needs some TLC...

That last fight bugged out on me and the dialogue got bottlenecked so it all played at once. 10.2 patch

Had no luck with the vehicle, but killed with 18 shammy (full looms). He almost one-shots the robot, but does not do too much damage to toon. Shark hit more.
