This quest is extremely intense considering the insta-respawns. Our group of three barely got in through the gate before we were mobbed and then repeatedly assailed by NPCs we had just finished killing. I stopped counting how many times I saw Executor Cornell attacking us!
A couple of us died a few times and there was much running away to regroup involved.

Sorry, but my verdict is that this one is way over the top for the level it is, and lord help anyone trying it solo. lol

Is there a reason why the 2 new races' start zones are so much harder than any other race's? I only ask because I've got toons of all races and all the other start zones are nothing but yellow named mobs so the new toons never need worry about being attacked until they initiate contact.

The worgen and goblins on the other hand face 90% red named mobs right from level 1.

Less QQ, more L2P! I didn't die once, even took on extra mobs to help out another player getting ganged. Maybe Blizz hot-fixed it in the past few days? Mmmmm ... yeeeaaah.

To actually HELP people who want to know where the mobs are:

If you're coming through the front gate, Executor Cornell should be right in front of you, to the left of one of the tower-type buildings. Valnov the Mad is on the right side of the same building, in a kind of stable-type structure. The Forsaken Infantry ... you should have no problem finding those.

Turning this quest in will result in you entering a phase where the only NPCs are at the Livery Outpost and in Gilneas City.

Further, all resource nodes - ore and herbs - will disappear.

So if you want to level your gathering skills more before you leave the relatively competition-less starting area, don't hand in this quest.

I soloed this on a worgen lock, i admit i do have heirloom gear, and i have the guild extra xp thing so when i started this quest chain i was already level 13, very easy if you know how to play your class right though.

Just completed at Level 12 Mage. Insta-spawn slowed so I was able to easily do this quest. The bosses are still in the same place. Not many infantry around, so even at the spawn rate, the quest isn't hard anymore.

I have seen NONE comments saying that there is one forsaken soldier stuck halfway in a cage, he keeps evading my hits, and he doesn't despawn. I'm sure someone noticed him but didn't post a comment here.

Slay 4 Forsaken Infantry, Executor Cornell and Valnov the Mad in Emberstone Village.

Description

The people are free, but the town is still occupied by the Forsaken. They're cut off from their main force, so if we're to drive them out, now's our chance.

Their leader, Executor Cornell, is known for his unbound ruthlessness. Also among them is Valnov the Mad, a so-called scientist who carries out inhuman experiments on villagers too old to work the mines.

Take care of them all.
