Just completed this quest line on my main. It's fun to do even as a higher level (80 at the moment) and the phasing seems instant after you turn in the quests!

this might just be silly of me, but I don't understand at all how to control the Thrower..can anyone help?

Figured out the controls. Right click on the Thrower while you're in it and drag to aim, once you're aimed, just hit the 1 key to shoot the glaive.

After completing this quest Astranaar will be just like it used to be, no raiders present and not on fire.

Thank goodness for that! I wasn't looking forward to questing with Raene while worrying about the inn's roof caving in due to flames.

This may be an odd question but, anyone had the chance to attack Horde players with the Glaive Thrower? Does it work? 13k damage would be a spiffy way to deter higher-level gankers.

I may avoid killing the last flier just to wait and see.

If you want to try and hit the ones farther away you can tap the 1 key to rapid fire. You will run out of energy but you get 5-6 shots off. Enough to lead the target and hit it usually. The energy comes back fast enough so you can they pick off the stationary ones without waiting.

Anyone know why I cannot get out of the thrower?

I think there's a phasing bug in Astranaar at the moment. I did the quests some time ago but now it's burning again and Horde are attacking. Flying out of Ashenvale and back doesn't appear to fix it, like it does with some phasing bugs.

My friends and I tried to drive this thing to SW... It dismounts you when you get a certain distance from Astranaar :(

You will no longer be able to drive an Astranaar Thrower after completing this quest. If that ability is more important to you than the drawback of seeing Astranaar on fire — for example, for roleplaying reasons — then do not complete this quest. It does not unlock any follow-ups.
