56.6 72.6 second floor of the barracks. You have to go over the large boat that's in front of the recruitment officer to get there.

I'm personally quite upset with this quest! I'd be a level 70 trying to get to level 80 as fast as possible for the wonderful content up there and this guy would rather give me 24 measley silvers instead of 1200 experience?

Now once they change that to level 80, I'd probably ask "why would anyone wait till 80 to do this quest?"

i couldnt get this quest as my 72 druid. however i have done howling fjord so that may be why. is anyone else noticed this?

Obtainable at level 68.
Once you get off the boat from Stormwind to Valiance Keep, walk straight up a few stairs, past the tavern until you see two lines of civilians. The recruitment officer on the right side will offer you this quest if you're level 68 or above.
It starts the initial runaround chains which got me several bars in with only killing about a dozen creatures directly outside the gates.
When they send you to Farshire, check over by the blacksmith area, there is stairs down to a water area, and a bridge across. Perhaps it's just me, but I didn't realise the shortcut to Farshire and back there, no need to run around through scourge and nerubians.

Is the quest text different if you did, or didn't do something? Such as "Report to Gryan Stoutmantle... Again"? He told me "I've heard about you and what you did in Outland".

Meet with General Arlos inside the barracks in Valiance Keep.

Description

You've come to enlist, right? Normally you'd have to stand in line like the other recruits. Normally you'd be out of luck because the recruitment ledger's gone missing and I can't process anyone until the new books get here.

Fortunately for you, <name>, I've heard about you and what you did in Outland. To be honest, you're a cut above these poor saps. Lines aren't for you.

Go to the barracks and speak to General Arlos. He'll be more than happy to meet with someone of your caliber.
