One would think they would opt not to use spiked boxing gloves for that purpose.
Or maybe these are special boxing gloves, meant for killing?

Anyway, his Jab/Going Bonkers/Dodge/Tornado Punch abilities make him feel a lot like the Pandaren Monk to me.

Unfortunately this guy both comes in a variety of breeds and is NOT an item you can trade or pet you can cage, so you'll need to continue gambling away if you want to pursue an ideal breed.

After reading that he is a recommended pet for the tournament, I went to the cave and bought about 40-50 keys. The last two keys gave me TWO bonkers !

S/S Breed can solo Baby Yulon in the poketournament if you get lucky with the Tornado Punch stuns and get one or more. If not have a backup human with a dodge or kick or something to negate lift off.
I use Jab, Dodge, Tornado Punch.

Took me around 50 keys to find one, or around 12500 timeless coin. Just ballpark figure. Your mileage may vary, of course.

Counting the sample above me (0 for 120) and the one below me (3 for 30); it comes out to 4 bonkers for 200 boxes. This seems consistent with the 1:50 or 2% drop rate I observed.

Edit - The page for the item, Bonkers, seems to indicate a 1.5% drop chance from chests.

Spent enough for 30 keys and I got 3 bonkers, buying 10 at a time. Could be that i was lucky, but appeared to be a 10% drop rate, which isn't too bad.

'Gambling' while looting chests is RNG of course. You either get most of your coins back or get random epic upgrades similar to what you find on the island.

None were S/S which appears to be the 'ideal' bread for the Tournament. However, this pet appears to be a great addition to anyone's collection.

I was extremely lucky and got Bonkers after my 4th key, H/S breed !

Be careful not to buy too many keys at once and possibly waste all your coins as you might get lucky and find it only after a few!

Bonkers the Critter-Slayer.

As a humanoid, he takes less damage from Critter type attacks, and he's got a Beast type attack that is super effective against Critters.
