- Overview – Players face off against a pair of Horde combatants who combine their powers at key points throughout the fight.
- Damage Dealers –
Keep both combatant's health at similar levels to avoid giving either combatant too much damage from [Harmonious Spirits].
[Magma Trap] will knock you so high into the air that the fall will kill you.
Spirits of Xuen will [Stalk] a random target until they are defeated.
[Fire Shield] must be damaged down so that you can interrupt [Pyroblast].
During Serene Showers, you are unable to pass through [Rings of Hostility].
[Chi-Ji's Song] blocks targeting into and out of its confines. - Damage Dealers –

During Hostile Showers, you are unable to pass through [Rings of Hostility].

You cannot heal the tank while they are going through their [Multi-Sided Strike] sequence.
Dispel the [Searing Embers] with the lowest duration remaining first to avoid [Unleashed Ember].
Players inside [Chi-Ji's Song] will be obscured from your sight unless you step inside with them.
Once [Blazing Phoenix] is active, the entire raid will continually take damage until the Blazing Phoenix is dispatched. - Healers –
You cannot heal the tank while they are going through their [Multi-Sided Strike] sequence.

You're on your own during [Multi-Sided Strike], face each attack to mitigate the damage!
You must work with your fellow tank to manage each other's applications of [Rising Flames].
[Whirling Jade Storm] persists until the caster is engaged in melee combat.
[Chi-Ji's Song] blocks targeting into and out of its confines.
- Ma'ra Grimfang – Monk who uses her powers of Storm, Earth, and Fire to attack the players with devastating attacks.
- Harmonious Spirits – The caster is attuned to the life force of their ally. As the health of their ally gets lower than that of the caster, the caster will become more powerful.
- Whirling Jade Storm – The caster whirls in place, sending out waves of jade energy that inflict inflict 1968 Nature damage to all players within 100 yards every 1 sec.
This ability persists until the caster is struck in melee combat. - Multi-Sided Strike – The caster knocks their target into the air, and summons a series of Storm, Earth, and Fire images that strike the victim in rapid succession. If the victim fails to face each image's attack they will take 8717 Physical damage.
In Normal Difficulty, three strikes occur.
In Heroic Difficulty, four strikes occur. Once Ma'ra Grimfang assumes her dragon form, nearly all players face their own Multi-sided Strike challenge.
In Mythic Difficulty, five strikes occur, and nearly all players face their own Multi-Sided Strike challenge.
In Looking for Raid Difficulty, three strikes occur.
- Successful Defense – Successfully defending against a Multi-Sided strike increases your damage dealt by 5% and your healing done by 5%.
- Tested – Your ordeal with the Monk's images has left you vulnerable to Physical damage. For the next 40 sec. you take 100% more Physical damage.
- Spirits of Xuen – The caster summons Spirits of Xuen to chase down a random player.
- Anathos Firecaller – Fire Mage who uses the power of fire to attack his enemies.
- Fireball – Throws a fiery ball that causes Fire damage. The victim is afflicted with Rising Flames.
- Rising Flames – Burns the victim for 218 Fire damage every 1 sec. When Rising Flames ends, a Burnout occurs.
- Burnout – As the flames burn out a final burst of Fire damage hits all players for 4587 Fire damage. Burnout's damage is increased based on the number of applications of Rising Flames that triggered the burnout.
- Pyroblast – Throws a massive boulder of super heated fire at the target, inflicting 100000000 Fire damage and causing them to burn for an additional 654249 Fire damage.
In Mythic difficulty, this ability instantly kills the victim.
- Fire Shield – Applies a shield to the caster that will absorb the next 26761 damage taken. While the shield holds, the caster cannot have their spellcasting interrupted.
- Searing Embers – The caster plants Searing Embers in random enemies that inflict 1527 Fire damage every 1 sec. An Unleashed Ember occurs after 10 sec. if this effect is not dispelled.

InstantInflicts 6537 Fire damage to all enemies. - Unleashed Ember – Inflicts 6537 Fire damage to all enemies.
- Magma Trap – Creates a zone of fiery magma at the location that persists until triggered. Once triggered, all players within 6 yards take 12214 Fire damage are knocked into the air.
Victims of the Magma Trap take 100% more damage from future Magma Trap effects.
- Combined Power – As the fight progresses, the combined power of the combatants increases. When their combined power reaches sufficient thresholds the combatants will unleash team attack.
- Fire from MistWhen the Combined Power of the combatants reaches 30 power, the duo teams up to summon Living Bombs shrouded in jade mist. Each bomb will continually blast all players with explosions. The mist prevents targeting into and out of the zone.
- A Flash of HostilityWhen the Combined Power of the combatants reaches 60 power, all players are ported to one side of the playspace while the combatants teleport away. Anathos creates a barrier and continually calls down Phoenix Strikes to pelt the area while Ma'ra creates a maze of Rings of Hostility to foil player's passage across the battlefield.
The combatants continually channel their abilities until players break down the barrier and interrupt them.In Heroic Difficulty, only one of the barrier's weak points is attackable unless a player uses a Force Orb to make the other points attackable.
In Mythic Difficulty, none of the barrier's weak points are attackable until players use a Force Orb to make each weak point attackable. Additionally, a Spirit of Niuzao will chase the players through the maze.
- Ring of Hostility – Creates a zone of hostility at the target location. Players who enter the zone are expelled from the area.
- Phoenix Strike – A Phoenix crashes down from the sky, inflicting 4358 Fire damage to all players within 6 yards.
- Force Orb – Pick up the Force Orb. If you successfully carry it across the battlefield you can use this orb to allow your allies to attack another one of the weakpoints in the barrier.
- Path of Niuzao – A Spirit of Niuzao pursues players through the maze of Rings of Hostility. The spirit leaves behind images that continually trample players near them for 8717 Physical damage.
- The Serpent and the PhoenixThe Monk transforms into a Jade Serpent, and the Mage transforms into a Phoenix. The transformations persist until the encounter ends.
This ability is used when the combatants reach a combined power level of 100.In Heroic difficulty, the dragon now triggers a Multi-Sided Strike on nearly all enemies.
- Dragon's Breath – Burns all enemies in a cone for 4364 Fire damage every 1 sec for 2 sec.
In Heroic and Mythic difficulties, the cone of fire leaves a trail on the ground that continually burns any player standing in it.
- Dragon's Breath – The Dragon's Breath leaves behind a trail of fire on the ground. Players who stand in the fire burn for 5887 Fire damage every 1 sec.
- Blazing Phoenix – The caster transforms into a Blazing Phoenix. While transformed, all players suffer 1968 Fire damage every 3 sec.
- Rising Flames – Burns the victim for 218 Fire damage every 1 sec. When Rising Flames ends, a Burnout occurs.
- Burnout – As the flames burn out a final burst of Fire damage hits all players for 4587 Fire damage. Burnout's damage is increased based on the number of applications of Rising Flames that triggered the burnout.
- Searing Peck – Inflicts Fire damage to the target. The victim is afflicted with Rising Flames.
