So, the damage from these abilities is still there, just not being captured by logs?
I guessed that the programming correct credit for Augmentation on a damage meter would be quite difficult and take time to get right. I also would not be surprised if Augmentation damage through teammate buffs also were not initially accurate after the Devs add new abilities, such as could occur with future class reworks. I do appreciate all the work to try to make accurate logs possible for Augmentation players and everyone else.
i've said it before in other posts, just get the damned ff14 ppl on this. they've had this very issue worked out for years now with jobs like dancer and bard whose big thing is buffing the party. dancers give a 5% damage buff to themselves and another party member with 100% uptime, and a 5% to the party as a whole for 20 sec on a 2 min cd. you telling me that people STILL can't figure out how to work this out?
Mfw people are installing a proprietary, closed-source blob (electron no less) with full access to their filesystem just to see damage meters for their support class 🗿🗿
What about the damage not being reattributed? Does it just show on the buffed target in logs instead of on the augvoker?
i was thinking that a support spec would be fun for people for the supporting aspect. if it is parsed out like a damage spec it seems like the supportness of it is not really a thing. it is just a damage spec doing things differently. kinda like how healing by doing damage is healing but doing it differently.
Pull the ripcord and make it a tank!
Personally, I hope they do away with Damage meters altogether.Hear me out, I've played between a Hunter and DH since BC, ran in hardcore raiding guilds, felt the stress and crunch of making it to raid with food and pots and Flasks, to eek out an extra .01% DPS. Aug has been a breath of fresh air for just having fun while playing, because no one, until after a fight, knows what kind of DPS is going on (and reading this, even then it's almost wrong). There needs to be a push at not trying to math the game so much to make it completely unfun.
Please Blizzard just give regular dmg meters hooks and api they need to properly track Aug's dmg. People just want to know how well they are playing, it's simple as that, why do we need to jump through hoops and cheese the system and force you to fix unintended interactions with 3rd party overlays? Let us track dps with usual dmg meter addons.
Many bugs, handle them!
Right, so attributing the damage to the evoker is just not correct. That's not how the game works and I'm tired of the problem specs using this as a smokescreen. Also blizzard said no overlays, so don't use this unless you want banned. Why are we making articles about this?
So, a few classes are showing higher than they actually are in rankings. Most by a small amount. Feral, Destro, and Shadow by a moderate amount, and BM Hunter by a lot(Kill Command, Beast Cleave, Kill Cleave, and Claw is most of BM's damage).
