Ooooh nice to see we're actually in 2020 :D
poggers
Calling it now, my PC is going to melt.
what does it look like
Hope to see some graphical optimization follows along with it, because, as it is now, even in the lowest config, it's hard to play some BGs and other scenarios with a decent FPS.
The wow client even with DirectX12 is a mess in terms of optimization...I'm happy they're trying to improve graphics and all, but if even without it the FPS can be super unstable even on high end computers, I can't imagine this will be a good thing.Blizzard should really focus on improving the whole client first, bring it to 2020, allow it to use multiple cores more efficiently among other things then focus on bringing things like this.
I remember when turning up the current shadow options would make my PC chug. I guess ray tracing is simply the next raid tier for shadow progression, huh? Bring back the chug!
Go check out Black Desert Online.. then come play WoW... talk about piss poor optimization on the former Keep bringing more graphical options
Do you hear that? GPU's burning.
My PC can barely run normal settings, gotta buy upgrades now

Seems...pointless? You don't play WOW for gorgeous graphics. The game's optimization already chugs in places, even for higher end machines. This feels a bit like salt in the wound for anyone who isn't running a higher end machine built in the past two years. Hopefully they tune the graphics in the game across the board so this isn't a dramatic tank on FPS.
I don't want improved shadows, I want to be able to turn them off completely again. All they do is distract me.
That screenshot: "max foreground FPS: 100" ... who does that :D
ohh ... great something else to empty our checkbook to improve our PC condition requirements.Since when has Blizzard become heavy for so many meaningless requirements?
