I had a feeling Blizz would give blue eye color options to blood elves; still feels sad to see though. A lot of people have been asking for playable Alliance High Elves since the game was released, and this feels like Blizz is just spitting in those people's faces and telling them 'we could not care less about what you want and will, in fact, go out of our way to spite you'. So we'll probably see Alliance numbers implode and won't hear the end of it from the people who, for some reason, derive satisfaction from seeing other players get shafted.
So, stopped reading comments on the second page - quite sick about the complaints I'm seeing. I swear, more than three-quarters of them don't know that High Elves ARE Blood Elves, they were literally just across the continent at the time of the Sunwell - sorry y'all, but it's the truth. They wouldn't be a new allied race or anything, because, again... SAME RACE.
@blackcaimanYou.. do realize there was an asian face texture and a blatantly asian weapons trainer in Vanilla/Classic? He teaches polearms in Stormwind?
Blue eyed High Elves AND black skinned blood elves? Damn, Blizzard must be wanting to start a double @#$% tornado or something.I like both of them, but never gonna use them myself.
Ever since Blizzcon where they showed the customization for humans I been seeing the same comment. "Oh where did black and was in humans even come from?" "Oh this is lorebreaking, these humans need to be explained. I been wanting to say this for a long, long time. There is NO difference between humans in Warcraft besides what kingdom they came from! Nothing more, nothing less. Humans have always came in different shapes and colors and not once in the Warcraft universe has there ever been a human addressed as black or Asian. Because they are JUST human. Geez, let this !@#$ go.
Dark-skinned High Elves definitely exist in the lore, so I see no reason why dark-skinned Blood Elves wouldn't too. Especially if they can share eye colors now.https://wow.gamepedia.com/Devi
I just want to reiterate ... if you don't like the dark skin options, nobody is forcing you to use it ... just let people have their dark skinned elves! It's literally not harming anyone, and it's not harming the lore either. You're all just racists but don't realize it.I mean, why else would dark skinned elves offend you so much, aside from the lame excuse that it's not part of the lore .... The game itself doesn't even cover half of the lore as it is, so who cares? Some of you seem to just HAVE to have something to complain about. Can't you be happy about something for once, even if it's being happy for other players who are now able to play a Blood Elf that they can see a bit of themselves in? Seriously, Thumper's Mom was right ... if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all. If you hate WoW so much then go play something else and let the rest of us enjoy the game in peace.
Sorry if it hurts your feelings to have darker skin tones on elves, but some of us appreciate the inclusion. >.> Now just add some facial features and some more hair just like the humans are supposed to get.As for the eye color? Didn't they say it wouldn't be long before the majority of blood elves reversed the effects of the fel magic corruption because of the cleansing of the sunwell? It makes sense that they would return to their previous biology (High elves)? That said, I do wish they would give Alliance some of that love as well. Maybe some quel'dorei options for ren'dorei to let them be more like Alleria. A high elf with a void form.

Blue eyes are likely customization for DKs.
Okay I don't get why Blizzard are introducing real life races to a fantasy game. Blood Elves aren't white, black, or asian. They're blood elves. Known for a distinct skin color. Now are we going to get some pink orcs so white people don't get upset? I mean really Blizzard lmao. I am 100% supportive of giving humans more diverse options though for the record.
All this complaining is coming from the fact Alliance has gotten NOTHING that we have asked for while the Horde is getting everything. And now Blizz are throwing salt on the wound. Alliance have been screwed this entire expansion Allied Race wise and Customization wise. And then the way they acted when Alliance got upset, was unprofessional. They should have just said no.Yeah Nelves got NIght Warrior, but the Belves got Gold eyes they didn't even ask for nor did they have to earn it like Alliance had to earn Night Warrior.
